Rhythm of Love (UN-EDITED)
Epilogue
It has been years since my father had passed. I still missed him every day, but he always told me that when he goes he doesn't want me to dwell on it. He wanted me to raise a beautiful family and live life happily, and that was just what I was doing. I had one son named Mason, five years old and another baby girl named Scarlett, who was three. To finish off the perfect life, I had my handsome Stanley Cup Champion husband, Carey Price.
"So you have everything planned out?" I reassured. I hated when he would wing everything. His habits always rubbed off on the children and I wanted them to be neat and organized, but I didn't see that happening.
He laughed at me. "Yes, this isn't the first time I brought the cup home." I grinned at him childishly, knowing that he was purposely trying to brag. "Now come on, let's go swimming with the kids."
I followed him down the shore line where our babies were running around with P.K. and his wife, Shania. She was just the nicest lady ever. The cute couple had a four year old son named Tyson. Mason had grown to be best friends with Tyson and they were actually defensive partners on their hockey team.
I ran to the shore line and grabbed Mason. He screamed with laughter. "Mase, lets get in the water!" I scooped him up and headed into the water. I soon seen the two familiar dogs splashing next to Scarlett. They completely loved her to pieces. Carey would have to keep them in check, so they wouldn't hurt her. I could see Carey playing with her and the dogs. She was throwing a frisbee and the dogs would retrieve it.
"Carey! P.K!" I spun around to see my brother Jesse with his fiancée, Olivia. Olivia and Jesse planned on getting married in August next month, a week after Carey and I's 6 year anniversary. I noticed J.T. come around as well. He waved and set his stuff in the sand.
"Can I see Uncle Jess, J.T. and Aunty Livie?" he asked. I smiled at him and nodded for him to go see them. I walked over to see Shania, who was sitting in the sand.
"This is the life, isn't it?" she asked.
I smiled staring at how close my brother and I were, my beautiful family, my lovely friends and their son, my brother's new found happiness, J.T.'s loyalty, my career, and the beautiful day. I couldn't have asked for anything more. "I know. I am seriously at bliss."
"I never understood how you managed to make so much time to see Carey. You guys have crazy schedules," she said.
I laughed. "Well, you know I don't do shows in the summer. In the winter time is the only time you'll find me at a entertainment venue. During those teams I keep my shows spread out so I have time for my family and husband. I attend games and my kids stay with you or my family sometimes as well," I explained.
"Yeah, good point."
"So, are you and P.K. ready to take Lord Stanley back home?" I asked with a grin. I knew this their second win, but it felt like the first.
She giggled. "Yes, the tons of fans and the busy-tight schedule is always a great time," she joked. "But really, I can't wait."
"Me neither."
