Shoot and score

"Come on Lilly! We're going to be late to the game!" My mom yelled at me from the bottom of the stairs. "I know Mom! Just let my throw on my jersey and I'll be down!" I yelled back in response

"Well hurry! Your friends are already here!"

She just would not stop. I quickly finished applying my last coat of mascara and took a quick glance in the mirror, just to make sure everything was perfect, and quickly walked to my room.

"Lilllllllyyyyy!!!! Cooommmeee onnn!!!!"I heard my best friend Tessa yell from right outside of my door.

I rolled my eyes and turned around and saw her, Amanda, and Lauren standing in my doorway. I looked at all of them and turned to walk into my closet.

"Haven't you guys ever heard of personal space?" I asked them.

Amanda wipped her long blonde hair behind her shoulder and laughed,

"Whats that? Lilly wants some space? Well theres a first for everything."

I rolled my eyes, "A first? Haha, you humor me!" I quickly grabbed my Jonathan Toews jersey and slipped it over my head. Then ran over to my bed to throw on my black studded BOBs.

"15 years and counting!" she gave me a large smile, I couldn't help but smile back, Amanda had been my best friend since kindergarden and all the way through out high school. We were there for each other through everything, Birthdays, break-ups, you name it, we've probably been through it. I stood up and grabbed my purse and had one last glance in my mirror.

"okay, I'm ready. Lets get our game on!"

"No. Just stop there, for the sake of us and whoever you might meet tonight." Lauren laughed, "and never, use that term again!"

"Aww, come one girls! Lighten up! Its my birthday, and we gotta make it awesome!"

Lauren couldn't help but laugh. I suddenly a crash from downstairs and I quickly flipped off my light and ran downstairs, with my little posse following me. I got to the bottom of the stairs and walked around the corner and saw my dad. In a old goalie mask, with a giant hockey stick. Tessa, Amanda, and Lauren bursted out laughing.

"And again, you fail.." I laughed at my dad

"Eh, Happy birthday, from Jason." He removed the mask and laughed. "Hey, you guys have fun out there! Oh, and Lily? I wanted to give you this." He handed me a tiny black box. I took it from him and looked at it.

"Well!! Open it!!" I heard Lauren yell. I rolled my eyes and opened the black box, and inside of it was a little gold chicago blackhawks charm. I looked up at him and gave him a huge hug. "Thanks daddy, I love it!" I took off my pandora bracelet and slid the charm on, next to my music note charm. He smiled

"hey, now you guys be safe out there! No boys should be coming back!"

I rolled my eyes " I wouldn't dream of it! We will. And thank you!"

He laughed "I was only kidding! Unless its a red wing, don't bring him back, See you guys tonight! Have fun girls!"

I gave him a huge hug and slung my purse around my body.

"Who's ready for the madhouse?!" I squealed

"lets go get some guys!" Tessa jumped up and down

We rolled our eyes, "lets go! Cooommmmeeee onnnn!!!!!" Amanda started to drag us out the door, it was now or never.. We all hopped into my mom's car and pulled out of the drive way. We were so lucky to live a couple blocks away from the united center, however, since mom had to go pick up my sister from her friends, she insisted that we get a ride from her.

"NEXT STOP!! THE MADHOUSE!!" We all squealed at the sametime, mom laughed.

"Be lucky I'm not going tonight!" Mom said as she looked at us in the backseat.

None of us exactly knew how this night would end, but we all knew it would be the best night ever. We all smiled at each other, all thinking the same thing...
