I Want Crazy

Just Don't Tell 'Em All The Truth

I shut the door behind him. He took his shoes off in the door way. I let him follow me to the living room, which was just to my left.

"This is the living room, but we hardly spend time in here," I explained walking in and admiring it.
Paul's mouth hung open. "This is beautiful. But why would you decorate it so much if you hardly spend time in here?" His angelic laugh ran through the house.

"Well, I had the money and Sarah's friend gave us really good deals when he designed our rooms."

We walked out of the living room together and headed for the stairs. I could hear him walking behind me. The only thing running through my head was if he was checking me out. I wouldn't be surprised if he was. Biz was always really flirtatious.

We walked into one of the rooms. "This is the guest bedroom. My parents or Sarah's parents stay in here when they come. Every now and then some of my friends from Toronto come and visit us too," I said while admiring him while he looked in the small bedroom.

"Come on," I told him. "I want to show you Kendall O'Connor's fortress." I gave him a small smile.

When I walked into the room I noticed Tucker laying on the carpet floor. Paul was trailing behind me.

"He looks really tuckered out," He lamely joked, but I had to laugh. It was semi-funny.

"You're not funny, Biz."

I took a seat on my bed while he glanced at everything on the walls. I decided to get up to show him my mini-spa, as I'd like to call it. I walked into my bathroom and put everything on display. My bath tub was oversized, but it was perfect for my amount of usage. I hardly ever used my stand-up shower. His soft chuckle made me glance at him, strangely. It shook me out of my thoughts.

"I'm so happy that you're spoiling yourself. You really deserved all of this. For some long years you went to school to become a vet, and it all paid off." Paul always knew how to tug at my heart with his serious conversations.

"Thank you, that really means a lot." I smiled at him, genuinely. "Now come on, I want to show you something else downstairs." He followed me out of the room. "That's Sarah's room and that's her office room," I said while pointing at the doors as we walked by.

When we made it to the basement I had earned another Paul Bissonnette laugh. My pool table was placed in front of the mini-bar. There was a pullout couch placed in front of a big flat screen television. This is where my friends and I would spend most of our evenings.

"A pool table and a mini-bar; what are you, a bachelor now?" He joked.

I playfully rolled my eyes. "My boyfri--" I stopped realizing what I was just about to say.

"You have a boyfriend?" Damn it. He asked while running his fingers on the pool table. He dared to share a moment of silence together. Our eyes met, intensely for quite some time. I broke the encounter by the fluttering of my eyes.

I bit the inside of my lip, nervously. "I do and he is the one that wanted to build this room. He thought it would be a cool hang out place," I explained.

"So, you just let him build it with your money?" Paul asked. He was starting to blow it out of proportion a little bit.

"Paul, when you say it that way it sounds bad. It wasn't like that," I persuaded.

He was silent for a while before responding. "I just don't want to see you get hurt."

"I won't, now come," I said trying to drop the unwanted conversation.

We walked through the dining room that was hardly ever used. It was only needed when it was some type of holiday or someone was visiting. Other than those occasions, neither one of us bothered to eat there.

We walked into my kitchen, that was like a spaceship to me. "You really went all out on your kitchen and you can't even cook," He teased.

I shoved him a little. I couldn't help but laugh, but it was true. Whenever I tried to cook anything for Paul it always ended in failure.

"Shut up, Biz."

I walked to the fridge. I opened it up to find some food and drinks. It wasn't really full, whatsoever. I had my head buried in the fridge. "Do you want anything to drink?" I asked.

"Water, please."

I grabbed two bottles of water. I handed one to Paul as I walked by him. I was headed for outside. I slid the back door open. I noticed Tucker slip by me and run out into the back yard. It wasn't a problem to let him out because we were fenced in all around.

"Okay, so I thought you had a cool house, but the backyard just topped it off!" He yelled. Paul sat by me on the chairs that were scattered around the outdoor table. "Now please tell me what you've been doing for the last few years because I'm thinking of switching careers," He joked.

I grinned at him. "Well after we kind of broke up, Sarah was getting out of university. She got her business degree. I wanted to have my own veterinary clinic so I pitched her the idea of Miami Beach Evanston Animal Clinic. She was on board. When we set up the clinic, it took off pretty quick. This house was offered to me by one of my patient's owner. I was living in an apartment at the time with Sarah. It was hard on Tucker at that time. We saw the decent price and we bought it. Then Sarah's friend she met at the club offered to decorate our house for a good price and we let him do that. Now, I am here," I summed up.

"And you still have Tucker. I remember giving him to you for Christmas," He said.

.......

Flashback.

"I told you we don't need to get each other gifts," I complained to him.

His smile was still imprinted on his face. "Yeah, yeah, what ever. I know you got me a gift too, anyways. But I promise you will love this gift! Please baby," He said while putting out his lip, jokingly.

I rolled my eyes, playfully at him. "Go get the gift then," I ordered.

"Okay, wait here and close your eyes!" He yelled as he left his spot on the couch.

I shut my eyes. It went silent for a little while, but then it sounded hectic. "Open your eyes now, Ken."

I opened my eyes to see the cutest thing ever. It was a small puppy and I knew just what breed he was. It was an adorable Rottweiler. I held him close to me, like a baby. Paul was admiring us. This had to be one of the best gifts ever received.

"Paul, you're the best!" I leaned over to kiss him. I rested one of my hands around his neck and the other was holding onto the puppy.

We broke the kiss after some time. I could see his confident smirk playing on his lips.

"I love you, Kendall."

"I love you too, but now let's get you your gift. I actually have it right here," I said while picking up the box from the coffee table. I handed him the box and he shook it by his ear. I could feel the puppy squirm in my arms, so I had to readjust my position.

"What is it?" He asked.

"I'm not going to tell you. You have to open it to find out," I told him.

I watched him open the box. "It's a trip for four to Bali," He stated. His eyes met mine with a smile on his face. "This probably cost so much money!" He argued.

"No, it's not a big deal, Paul. The cost doesn't matter, it's the thought." I pet the puppy on his little head. "I want you to take three of your friends. You deserve a vacation. I mean you spend so much time—"

"Okay, no I'm not taking three of my friends. You paid for the trip, so I'm taking you. Plus, I'd rather spend my time somewhere tropical with my girlfriend." I put down the dog on the ground. I seen him run off somewhere, but my mind was elsewhere.

I seen Paul coming closer to me. I just wanted him right now. He moved me onto his lap. I nuzzled into his neck. I felt his hands close to my ass, but that didn't matter to me. His cologne smelled amazing.

"Okay, we can make it a couples retreat. Invite one of your teammates or friends," I whispered into his ear.

I wrapped my legs around him and got comfortable. "Sounds like a plan, now can we go to the bedroom?" He whined.

I laughed to myself. "We have to name the puppy!"

"Fine, and then I'm taking you to the bedroom."

"Okay, okay." I got off of him. He wrapped his hand on mine. I smiled up at him as we went on the hunt for my new puppy.

"Kendall, you make me so happy."

"You make me very happy too, Paul. I'm the luckiest girl in the world." I tippy-toed to plant a kiss on his lip.

.......

Current time.

I missed us.

Notes

A/N: Ok. I've had this chapter ready FOREVER, but omg I just didn't have time to upload it. I'm trying to upload all of my stories today, so if you read any of those you might be in for a treat. I finally also figured out where I'm going with this story. I have two different types of endings. I just wanted to know if it was tragic/sad would you still read it? & Is anyone from Ontario or Manitoba?:D
