Michaela ran into the girl’s restroom. She couldn’t believe what she had just seen. Patrick had his tongue down Bridget throat. She should have known better then to think that Patrick would change. Jonathan was right when he said to stay away from any of his teammates. She put her hands on either side of the sink, looking up in the mirror. She couldn’t believe how gross she felt, it didn’t even look like her in the mirror. Her thoughts were interrupted when Abby came into the bathroom.

“Hey, are you okay Mic?” Abby asked while closing the door behind her. Abby was the only girl Michaela got along with out of all the girlfriends and wives of the players. She was so sweet and caring. She was like an older sister to Michaela.

“Yeah, I’m fine. It just got really hot all of a sudden. It must have been all the shots I took. I should have known better then to drink that much so soon.” Michaela lied. She couldn’t let anyone know what she was feeling. Michaela liked to keep her feelings to herself; even Jonathan didn’t know everything about Michaela.

Abby knew that Michaela was lying, but thought better then to ask about Patrick. “Well, I think you should come back and sit with us in the VIP. Clear your head a little bit. Don’t let anything ruin your night.” Abby smiled.

“Yeah, I guess your right.” Michaela fixed her dress and hair and walked out of the bathroom with Abby. Once they reached where Sharp and Jonathan were they sat down.

“Hey are you feeling okay?” Jonathan asked looking at his sister worried.

“Yeah, just to much to drink I guess.” Michaela sighed looking over to the dance floor at Patrick and Bridget.

Jonathan looked over to where Michaela was looking at. He was angry when he saw that Michaela was looking over at Patrick. He thought he made it clear to her that having feelings for any hockey player would just hurt her in the end. There was no way he would let anyone, even it was one of his teammates, hurt Michaela.

“Hey, how about we get out of here? Go home and watch a movie or something?” Jonathan asked.

“Yeah, I’m ready to get out of these shoes.” Michaela laughed a bit. Her brother always knew how to make her feel better. It was times like these when Michaela started to become home sick. She missed Megan, Mike, and even Danny. Everything was so much simpler back at home.

“Hey, remember that we have to be at the airport tomorrow night to catch our flight for the next game.” Sharp said before Jonathan and I got up.

I sighed, now I would have to be stuck with Patrick Kane on an airplane. No way of running away like I did tonight. Good thing Abby was going to be there for the game in Canada against the Leafs, so she would have a friend while Jonathan was with the team.

Jonathan and Michaela made their way out of the VIP, trying to find the exit. They were trying to get out of the mass of bodies when Patrick came up to them with Bridget at his side.

“Hey where the hell are you going? It’s only 11!” Patrick slurred to Jonathan and I.

“Leaving. You should probably get home soon, we have a flight tomorrow night and we want you sober.” Jonathan said patting his shoulder.

“Whatever, Bridget and I are leaving soon anyway. Back to my place.” Patrick smirked at Michaela, but she turned her head to Jonathan, not wanting to look at him.

“Can we just go?” She asked Jonathan.

“Yeah, come on.” Jonathan said pulling her out of the club. He just wished that Michaela would talk to him about what she was feeling. He knew that she was never one to talk about her feelings, but he wanted to make sure that she wasn’t going to bottle all her feelings then explode.

The next day, Michaela woke up with a massive headache. She rolled to the side of her bed where her nightstand was. She grabbed her phone to check the time. It was 2:00pm. She also had a few new text messages.

Jonathan: Hey Mic. Had to leave for practice, make sure your packed when I get home. Also, there is aspirin in my bathroom.

Michaela laughed at how he knew she was going to be hangover. She replied with a simple okay and thanks and moved onto the next message.

Abby: Hey! I hope your feeling better! Get excited, were going to Canada! Pack warm clothes!

Michaela was about to throw her phone in her bed when she saw that there was one last message she missed.

Patrick: We need to talk.

Michaela sighed. The last ting she wanted to do was talk to Patrick. She needed to get him out of her mind. He was just some guy, nothing special. He used girls for sex and only cared about himself. She doesn’t even know why she liked him in the first place. Yeah, he was charming and good-looking. Michaela shook the thoughts away. She had a lot of packing to do if she was going to be ready in time.

It was around 8pm when Jonathan came back to the apartment to get Michaela and his bags. She was sitting on the couch watching an episode of Teen Wolf.

“Hey, are you ready?” Jonathan asked. He must have startled her because she screamed.

“God Jon, I had no idea you were here!” Michaela said catching her breath.

“Well, we have to go if were going to get on this flight.” He laughed while grabbing his bags.

“Ugh, but this is a new episode!” Michaela whined. Michaela was obsessed with her TV shows.

“Hey, you have a job to keep and I have a team to lead. So get your ass up and lets go!” Jonathan laughed.

“Alright, no need to freak out Captain Serious!” Michaela said while grabbing her bags. This flight was going to be interesting.
