New Beginnings
Zoe had been waiting for this day since she had kissed Tyler. She wanted to see him and she would. He would find her. She would make sure of it.
The first thing Zoe had thought of when she saw the picture was Patrick, but Tyler was what she had been thinking about when she finished thinking about Patrick. Yes, she felt bad for doing it to Patrick, but in her defense he cheated on her first. And her and Patrick were broken up so he has nothing over her.
Then she thought about Tyler. She thought about his defined, tattooed arms and his hockey body. She thought about his beard that he had been growing for months and how sexy it made him look. She thought about his smile and then his laugh. Finally, she thought about his lips and how good they felt against hers. They were warm and soft. And the way his arm wrapped around her waist and pulled her so close. She loved it. She loved him.
Woah Woah Woah. Zoe snapped out of her daydream. She didn't love him. She just got out of a relationship, she didn't love anybody. She wouldn't love anybody.
She did not love Tyler. But that didn't let her stop thinking about his body, and about how in just one hour he would be in Chicago.
He would be with her.
------
Tyler had been shaking his leg for the past hour on the bus. Brad had been trying to stop the shaking since it was starting to annoy him but he was unsuccessful. Nothing could stop Tyler from freaking out about Zoe. He had gotten her address from Jonathan Toews. He was surprised but Jonathan wanted both Patrick and Zoe to get over each other and he didn't want them to see each other again. Something was fishy about the whole situation, but Tyler had her address. No questions asked.
The plane had landed and everyone had gotten off except Tyler.
"Come on Ty," Brad said annoyed that he had to wait for Tyler to get his shit together, "Lets go find your girl."
The mentioning of Zoe got Tyler off the plane like he had a gun to his head. He wanted to see Zoe. And he had a feeling that Zoe wanted to see him too.
Tyler and Brad pulled up to the cobblestone apartment and walked up to the door. Brad followed. They walked to the elevator and pushed the button numbered 8.
Tyler could feel his hands shaking. He was nervous but he had no idea why he should be. Zoe was the one who had kissed him and showed interest in him. Even though it looked like she had done it just because of the cameras in front of them. He patiently, yet nervously awaited the ding of the elevator and when it finally came he blanked out on the apartment number.
Of course Brad had written it down knowing that if Tyler was nervous enough he would forget the most important thing.
"813 dude," Brad said putting a hand on Tyler's shoulder, "Calm down."
Tyler just shook his head laughing. What would he do without his best friend? He walked slowly towards the door, praying that she was home or at least close by. He found door 813. And walked close to it trying to hear her voice. He did.
Brad cleared his voice making Tyler raise his hand to the door and knock twice. He heard footsteps walking closer and closer and the sound of Zoe's voice right behind the door.
This was it. They were only a door away from each other.
Tyler was looking down at his shoes until he heard the door unlock and he was standing face to face with Zoe. It took all of him not to reach across the threshold, wrap her up, and kiss her until they were both blue. But he didn't want to break boundaries.
"Hi," Tyler said grabbing his arm in one of his hand. Zoe looked at the ground with a smile on his face and then back up to look Tyler in the eyes.
"Hi," Zoe said finally letting out her laugh. Tyler smiled. She looked so beautiful with her leggings, peacoat, and boots. Her smile was that of an angels.
"Hi," Brad said breaking up the perfect moment Zoe and Tyler had going. Brad marched past Tyler through the door and past Zoe into the apartment. He walked over to the coach took a sip of the beer on the table and started flipping through the tv channels. He ignored the glare coming from Tyler, the laugh coming from Zoe, and finally the open mouthed girl sitting on the love-seat next to him.
"Um make yourself at home?" Zoe said laughing before grabbing Tyler in the door and shutting it behind him, "Do you guys want anything to drink or eat?" Zoe asked. Brad just said no while Michaela still stared at him while Tyler said he'd take a water. Zoe looked at him before grabbing his hand and walking to the kitchen.
Tyler took it as his go ahead to grab Zoe like he would never see her again.

"He gave you glass seats, on his side, he really wants you," Andrea said while looking at the tickets. It had been a while since they had glass seats. It had been a while since they had even seen a hockey game. Michaela and Andrea banned Zoe and themselves from seeing any hockey game, not just Blackhawk games.
"Oh shut up," Zoe said smiling to herself. She was wearing a Seguin Bruins jersey and she was happy. For once since her and Patrick broke up she was happy. She was truly happy. She could face Patrick and she could talk to him because she knew that she had Tyler on her arm. She had Tyler.
------
Patrick knew Zoe would be at the game, sporting a Bruins Seguin jersey. It would crush him, but he could pull through it. Patrick could see her, he could talk to her, pretend that he wasn't in love with her, the only thing he couldn't do was watch her fall in love with another man. And it wasn't the fact that it was Tyler Seguin, it was the fact that it wasn't Patrick. Patrick wasn't the one making her happy anymore. He wasn't the one giving her butterflies and kissing her. He gave that up when he cheated on her.
He couldn't even remember that night. He was too drunk. The only thing he could remember was waking up with a girl next to him, on many occasions. He couldn't remember anything.
He couldn't remember any of it.
Which only made him wonder if it actually happened...

Notes
Okay so next update will probably be the weekend. I got some plans for the story but for all you Tyler fans don't worry Zoe and Tyler will be together for a while. I just had to plant the seed of Patrick not thinking the whole cheating thing actually happened. But that will not stop Zoe and Tyler from being together, although they may not be the final couple. You will just have to wait and see.Enjoy
xoxo
I cried so many times during this story it's unreal lol
