My Dream
Zoe stepped away from Tyler. Half wondering why she was even thinking about him the way she was and half wondering why Patrick left. She knew she had screwed up when the rest of the Blackhawks came out of the visitors hockey room as if to see if it was true. Was Zoe rally falling for Tyler?
Zoe walked towards Jonathan. He stared her down. In many ways Jonathan had become like a brother to Zoe and in Chicago, when her brother could't be there, she had Jonathan.
"He left," Jonathan said before Zoe could even ask the question. Zoe just lowered her head as if to say to the world she had fucked things up. She loved Patrick. He was her everything and then here she was looking at Tyler the way she looked at Patrick. It broke him, and she knew it had the second she caught his eyes. There were tears rolling down, but she just continued to look at Tyler.
"Did he say where he was going?" Zoe asked desperate to find him and apologize. Jonathan just looked at the ground. Zoe knew he wouldn't tell her. Jonathan was Patricks friend first. Zoe just nodded her head before starting to walk out the door. She ignored the looks from the Bruins team standing around Tyler asking why she was leaving. Tyler looked at her with a starving passion. He wanted her and he would get her, it would just take time. Zoe kept walking until she heard her name being called. Not by a Bruin and not by a Blackhawk but by a little girl.
She turned around and looked down at the ground to see a girl, no older than the age of eight staring up at her doe-eyed. The little girl tugged on her Zoe's sweater sleeve and wouldn't stop until she finally spoke up about why she had stopped Zoe from walking out the door.
"He went that way," The girl said before turning away to walk to her mom who was standing talking to some other adults. Zoe was confused but more importantly thankful that the little girl saved her from walking out the door of the place where he actually was.
Zoe turned to see the two teams were still standing where they had been just a few seconds ago only to see them scattering off into their locker rooms. Zoe fast walked over to the entrance to the ice and was beyond happy when she saw Patrick standing in the center of the garden on the ice.
There were people still exiting the arena but Zoe didn't care. The only thing that mattered to her was that she got to Patrick to explain what had just happened a few minutes ago. She loved him and didn't want Patrick to think she didn't. But that didn't stop the tears from rolling down his face when she finally got to him on center ice.

"Can i explain?"
"You don't have to." Patrick said answering Zoe's question before wiping his eyes. He knew she didn't mean to do what had just happened. "Getting caught up in the moment" is what Patrick had narrowed it down to. He wasn't mad, he was just sad.
"Patrick I don't even know what happened to be honest with you. All of sudden I was looking into Tyler's eyes and I just got caught up. I didn't feel anything, if that counts as anything," Zoe said letting her tears finally fall down her rosy cheeks. Patrick closed the space between him and the love of his life before wiping the tears off her cheeks.
"I can put whatever happened out there behind me because stuff like that happens all the time. We have our desires and our cravings but the thing is most of the time nothing ever comes of it. Tyler is a craving or a desire and it isn't ideal but I don't want to lose you. You're my dream Zoe. And i may not be yours and I'm okay with that but I love you and nothing will ever change that."
If Zoe had been crying hard before she crying an ocean now. Patrick just kept wiping the tears and kissing Zoe's forehead before putting his lips on her and savoring every moment of it because he had no clue if one day Tyler would get his hands on his precious Zoe.
"I love you. You know that?" Zoe said after she pulled away from the loving affection Patrick had showed her.
"I had a feeling," Patrick said before grabbing Zoe's hand and walking off the ice.
No matter what Zoe did though, she couldn't get the thought of Tyler out of her head. The bad thing was she enjoyed him in her head.
