"Captain's Girl"

one

*Beau*

Beau watched as Rachel sat disappointed at the bar. She was so beautiful, a classic really. All dolled up in dark curls and red lipstick. She was perfection, while her douche of a date chatted up a redhead across the bar. Worse off, it was his blonde. One that he’d been working for, one that he’d targeted to forget Rach.

“She’s off limits. She’s the captain’s girl. She came here with him.” Joey Mormina whispered from behind him, grinning. The French-Canadian forward knew damn well that Crosby was treating her like shit. It killed him.

“The Captain,” he gestured to Sidney, who had his eyes glued to the blonde’s chest, “doesn’t act like he has a girl.” Joey just tsked at him.

“It does not matter if Sid acts like he has a girl, it matters that she is the girl. You… do best not to mess with it, rookie.” He raised a brow and walked away, leaving the decision up to Beau.

He felt the bile rise from his throat. Already deciding he wasn’t going to listen, he shut out the bar and walked up to her. Rach’s pretty dark eyes were shiny and wet. When she saw him, her face moved into a half smile, sadness still in her eyes. “Beau.” Her breathy voice seduced him.

“Rach, come here.” He pulled her in, breathing her soft vanilla scent. “Hey, let’s get out of here.” She merely nodded her head and followed him out of the bar. “You know, you don’t have to take that.”

Beau wrapped his arm around her and walked in sync with her through the Wilkes Barre chill.
She shivered in his arms. Pulling his dress coat off his own body, he tried wrapping it around her form. “No, Beau, you’ll freeze.” Eyeing her form, he was certainly sure her five foot four frame, only wrapped in a classy black dress would definitely freeze before him. He ignored her and wrapped it around her twice, making her into a big burrito and pulling her back into his side.

Rach laughed; midway he heard a hard snort, which caused them both to start laughing hard. When he looked up, she was gripping her middle and tears were streaming down her face. “I’m sorry I’m so unattractive.”

“You’re not unattractive,” he murmured. Beau gestured for her to enter the corner coffee house. There they could be warm, he could make her laugh some more, he could put his plan in action.

*Rachel*

The smell of coffee and sugar hit her, along with a blast of heat as she entered the coffee shop she knew all the guys regularly attended. Idle chit chat ensued while they ordered and waited for their coffee.

Beau’s pretty blue eyes and obvious California boy attitude made him so attractive. His smile sent little shocks to her system. Sometimes she had to remind herself that he was beyond off limits. But it never changed that fact that she wanted him, in every sense of the matter.

“Seriously, Rach, you don’t have to put up with Sid’s shit.” His deep voice, odd with such a pretty, young face. He was focused on her.

“You guys are teammates, he’s your captain. Shouldn’t you be on his side, defending him and all that?” She raised a brow at him. Rach had been with Sid on and off a couple months, if nothing else, she knew the score and how things went with the boys.

“I don’t have to if I care about the person they’re hurting.” His pretty blue eyes bored into her. “Why do you stay with him?”

It was a question she constantly asked herself. Sidney treated her like absolute shit. She wasn’t in love with him that was for sure. “I don’t know. Maybe because he’s familiar. Maybe because he’s gorgeous. The sex is great. I don’t know, Beau. You wouldn’t understand.”

He barked a laugh. “You’re right; I don’t understand why you would stay with anyone just for great sex, when you can be having it with someone who wouldn’t do that to you.” The look in his eye made it obvious what he was saying.

Rachel couldn’t comprehend why he was saying that. Why he was letting the underlying meaning slip through? He knew about her and Sidney that would just lead to no good. No matter how attracted she was to him. “Beau, Sidney is your Captain.” She plainly stated.

“Sidney made it clear tonight that fair game is fair game.” He took a deep breath. What was he saying? That because Sid took his date, he could take her? “Look, I’ve liked you, I always have.” Beau slid closer to her on the comfortable couch, offset in a corner of the café. “I just never tried because I don’t know; I always thought that you loved Sidney. Obviously, it’s not the case.”

“He’s your captain. This could be bad.” She breathed. Rachel was dangerously close to saying yes and throwing caution to the wind. It would only be too perfect.

Beau leaned in closer to her, their lips only centimeters away from each other. “It might be, but I wouldn’t regret finding out.” Then he kissed her. For a moment, she didn’t do anything back, fear and panic course through her brain. When he fisted his hand through her hair, she let go and enjoyed the kiss, as a participant. Electricity raced through her.

Everything about this guy was amazing. If only there weren’t so many obstacles, she might give him a shot. But Sidney, all the while they kissed, all she thought about, other than the feel, was Sidney.

“What was that?” Beau’s voice snapped her out of it. Those pretty blue orbs angry and a bit sad. She must have said his name out loud. “Did you say Sidney?”

Rach blushed a fiery red. “What that was, was wrong, Beau.” He rolled his eyes but moved away from her. Suddenly, he stood up and looked down and her intently.

“I’ve never been one to push ultimatums. Fuck, I’m only a season out of college. But Rachel, if you felt something, and I know you did, then get over the Captain.” With that she watched as he huffed and puffed his way out into the cold Wilkes Barre night.

*Beau*

It had been two weeks since he confronted Rachel. He hadn’t even seen her anywhere, it seemed like she left Wilkes Barre with Sidney. Beau hoped that she might not have chosen either of them. That maybe he convinced her that she deserved better but wanted more than him. I shouldn’t be worrying about this, Beau told himself, I just won the game winning goal against Hershey; I can have any woman I want.

The dark club was filled with gorgeous women. Tall, short, blonde, brunette, redheaded, each with their own sets of skills and talents that he might try. Still, he couldn’t get a short dark haired vixen out of his head. All night he thought he’d seen her, heard her. It was antagonizing.

“Beau.” A breathy voice came from behind him. A tall bottle blonde showed off her assets behind him. Fake tits, fake nails, fake tan, if he were drunker, he might have considered her, but not tonight. She inched her way closer.

Beau simply backed up until he felt a small body behind him. Turning, he was familiar doe eyes. They were shell shocked, still beautiful. The blonde behind him got a grip of his shoulder and was tugging him until he stood facing the two women, who seemed to be having some sort of face off.

“Excuse me. Beauregard and I here were just headed out, now if you could move.” The blonde’s assumption made Rachel giggle. She laughed right in fake Barbie’s face. He’d seen cat fights start over less.

“I’m sorry; you thought you were leaving with Beau.” She turned to him and kissed him. It was the small quiet kiss from the café. It was fiery and passionate. His hands went to her hair and tangled with the long dark tresses. He couldn’t escape her.

In the back of his mind, he was aware of the blonde getting offended. Nothing in his mind would make him care enough about her, especially with the goddess in his arms. He sighed when she pulled away. “I missed you.” He told her.

“I missed you a lot too.” She paused, looking up at him with her big eyes. “I felt something that night and I want to see where it goes.” Beau’s heart raced and she pulled him out into the side alley of the club.

*Rachel*

Beau looked shell shocked. She had been too when she decided that she didn’t care what happened with Sidney. That for even a moment, she preferred the rookie to the captain. It was crazy in her mind. Sidney was all she had ever known.

“I thought you decided against us both. I thought you were going to stay in Pittsburg and never see me.” He whispered to her. The snow falling around them made the whole moment scenic and perfect.

“I thought that too, and then I changed my mind.” She gave him a hug, relishing the feeling of his large body. “Joey told me where to find you and I saw Barbie bitch and well, now we’re here.” Beau only chuckled at her.

The next thing she knew, he pushed her body against the cold wall. Hearing her gasp, it only pushed him further. It angered him how she used to sit there and take everything from Sidney and how long it took her to accept a small amount of love from him. “Rachel, I need to know. I don’t want to waste your time, tell me now. Is it crazy that I want you?” Her breathing only hitched, she just continued to stare at him with wide doe eyes. “Let me make this easier, do you want me too?”

“You have no idea how much I want you.” She whispered to him. Rachel couldn’t hope that she wouldn’t regret this in the morning.

*Beau*

Cheeks flushed, and lips parted, she smiled. It was all the invitation Beau needed. His mouth touched hers. It was like setting fire to him, she was the sweetest drug. He knew that as long as she was willing, he wouldn’t be able to stay away. Her fingers reached up into his hair and yanked hard. It was surprising enough that Beau tipped his head back.

Soft lips explored his neck and collarbone. It took a lot in him not to finish in his pants like a rookie. Beau jostled her against the brick wall a little harder, catching her attention; he hadn’t forgotten that they were in an alley in the middle of Pennsylvania. “Either we go to your place now, or it’s happening here.”

The next half an hour consisted of them trying not to touch each other in the cab, trying to cover up the sexual tension. It lasted until the second the lock of her door clicked. Beau bent and lifted her up over his shoulder. He heard the air whoosh out of her lungs; he knew he should have thanked some heavenly force that she didn’t protest.

When they reached her room, Beau set her on her feet. Rachel was gorgeous, her skin was dewy and perfect, hair wild and curling around her face, she was like an angel. Together, they slowly stripped off each other’s clothes. Each piece that disappeared, it heightened his want for her. By the time she was in her underwear, his heart was racing. As he reached for her, Rach dodged his hands and shook her head.

Slowly, she pranced around the room, lighting candles all over the place. The dim light cast shadows on her body, Beau was ninety percent sure his breath hitched when she turned to him in all her full glory. A fleeting thought told him that she was no longer the Captain’s girl, but his.

*Rachel*

Beau Bennett was a god in regular lighting. Now, in the soft flickers of candle light, she’d practically melted. The way his tall body was wrapped in muscle, how his abs tampered down in the Abercrombie V. It just killed her.

Unable to take being far from him, she move to sit on her bed, directly in the center. His eyes followed her. It was like they were in a trance. In a flash, he was on top of her. His weight pressing deliciously into her. His scent, it was intoxicating. How she herself managed to stay away from him, she didn’t know.

“Ride me.” He whispered. Blue eyes shining innocently at her like a kid caught with a hand in the cookie jar. Beau flipped them so she was on top of him; he reached around to unsnap her bra. In a second, his rough palms were full of her breasts.

Not being able to take anything more from him, she reached down and started to pull his boxer briefs away from his body. His member stood rigidly in the air, purple with all the blood accumulated there. “I changed my mind, kiss it and then ride me.” Rachel wanted to say his voice was convincing but it was completely because he made her a whore for him.

She gripped his dick; it was firm and thick in her hand. Not wanting to play games, she went right at trying to take him all. At three-fourths, he touched the back of her throat. Her light choking had him arching and groaning. It was satisfying, knowing that she made him as insane with lust as he did to her.

Deciding she didn’t want the fun to stop there, she pulled her mouth off of him and moved to straddle him. She reached to the top drawer on her bedside table and pulled out a condom. They both watched as she moved it over his hard flesh. Beau motioned for her to bend down and kiss him. Right away, she heard and felt his gripping and ripping her panties away from her body. “They were in the way.” He murmured against her mouth.

Rachel grabbed his wrist and pushed them away from his body. “If you want me to do this, Beau, keep these gifted hands away from my body. We’re doing this my way.” He arched a brow at her.

“Or what?” His laughed caused his dick to bob against her most sensitive lips; it took everything in her not to gasp.

“Or I’ll finish myself and leave you to your own devices.” She threatened. Beau’s eyes got darker. Just like she knew they would. They were burning for each other. The thought of her using him as just a toy for her own pleasure had her skin flushed.

Grabbing his throbbing member, she slowly pressed herself onto him. It felt like he was taking up all the space in her and then some. It was like she was going to poke through her belly button; it was
entirely an unpleasant experience. She’d never been this full, not even with Sidney.

Beau was sure to make sure he kept his hands behind her head but just to prove a point, she started to rock back and forth. Rubbing her clit on his pelvis, moving with him inside her just enough to keep tapping her g-spot and sent herself over the edge. Below her, he had his teeth gritted.

She could feel the heat spread through her body, it was a glowing feeling. For a moment, as she came, she couldn’t hear or see or feel a thing except for the pleasure that was making its ways all the way to her toes. “Bitch.” She heard Beau murmur.

A peek told her that he was all slow smile, despite being hard as a rock inside her. His skin was covered in a light coating of sweat. Messy blonde hair looked like he’d been gripping it the entire time, but his hands lay relaxed beside his head. Rachel bent and kissed his as a reward.

So fast she didn’t know what happened, Beau had her trapped. One arm was pressed against her weight, keeping her body to his. Another arm wrapped around her and gripped her shoulder. It only took him a second to gain his bearings and press up into her hard. From this angle, he could thrust up into her and feel their bodies press against one another.

As the minutes passed, his movements became harder and faster. It was like a repeated tapping into her. Her breathing became erratic and he only moved faster, eyes on her bouncing cleavage. Unable to take much more, Rachel bent forward and bit his neck. It sent them both soaring over the edge of their sanity. A part of her was positive she’d never be able to confront her elderly neighbors now that they had heard her scream.

When they both came down from their indescribable high, he pulled out of her and laid her on one side of the bed. Beau got up and walked to the bathroom to dispose of the used condom and blow out the candles. He looked like a modern day Adonis, walking back with a gait that showed off his perfection. They both said nothing as he got back in the bed and pulled the cold covers over their slightly sweaty bodies and drifted to sleep. They’d figure out everything in the morning.

*Sidney*

Sidney knew his handy work when he saw it. He rolled his eyes at how everyone seemed to be three steps behind him. Every girl that lasted more than two weeks, the team dubbed the “Captain’s Girl.” He had brought Rachel with him for Beau. People were talking too much into the two of them and Beau was ever the easy target. It was ridiculous in his opinion. What he did with his dick was his business, but oh well, he thought, more time to work on a new CBA deal. No was really ever was the “Captain’s Girl,” at least not on his watch.
