Chapter 14: Beating The Kings
He walked over to Paul, "Yes?"
"Follow me!" Paul walked into the stretching room, "Sit your ass down on the table now!"
"Why?" Christian asked scared
"I was told you're having heart problems. I have a doctor here to look at it."
Christian laid down and let the doctor to look at his chest.
"I was told you're supposed to be wearing a heart monitor. Where is it?" The Doctor asked
Christian looked at Paul and said, "I took it off because it was bugging me...."
"You need to keep that on at all times. Is that understood?" The doctor asked
Christian nodded his head and closed his eyes terrified.
"I want you to find your heart monitor, and put it back on. Keep it on for a week, then come and talk with me. Alright?" The doctor asked
"Yes'sir" Christian said as he sat up and hopped off the table.
"Stay here for a min. I wanna talk to you." Paul said to Christian as the doctor got his stuff and left.
"Why didn't you tell me you had a heart problem?" Paul asked
Christian looked down, "I don't want you guys treating me differently. Yes I have a heart problem but I can still do normal stuff."
"I wouldn't treat you differently. We just need to keep an eye out for you. That's all." Paul said, "Everyone here looks out for you like family, we all care about you bud. Just let us look out for you every once and awhile. Alright?"
"Ok. Can I go now?" Christian said as he was getting tired
"Yeah, see you later." Paul said bye
*Dinner*
"Table for BlackHawks!" The lady yelled
They all walked over to the table. Christian was quiet because his chest was hurting, they all knew about it, so they just watched out for him.
"Christian! What are you going to get to eat?" Crawford asked
"I don't know. I'm not really hungry." Christian said
"You gotta eat something little man." Toews said to him
"But I'm not hungry..." Christian argued
"How about pasta or something?" Toews said back to him
"Fine. But I'm not hungry." Christian gave in, being to tired to fight
The waitress took everyones' order, and brought their food by within 30 min. Everyone was eating, except Christian, Patrick and Gina walked over to him.
"Christian, wanna go for a little walk?" Patrick said to him
Christian got up and walked with them.
"We know you're tired and your chest hurts, but you need to eat something. We don't want you passing out bud. Please?" Patrick begged his brother.
"But I'm really not hungry." Christian whined
"Christian, may you please just eat some of your food. I promise we'll get you ice cream or whatever you want." Gina bribed him
"Fine." Christian said
"You have to finish the whole plate though. Deal?" Patrick said holding out his hand
Christian shook his brothers hand and walked back to the table and started to eat.
"What'd you say to him?" Toews mouthed to Kaner
"Bribe" Kaner mouthed back
They all finished eating, paid, and started to head back to the UC.
*United Center*
"Alright boys! We've got this game in the bag! We beat the Kings, then we go to the finals! Don't go getting cocky, you've worked hard for this and you've earned it! This is our house and you guys are going to show them that! Listen to all those people out there yelled your guys names! Do this for them, your city, your family, this team, and yourselves! Let's win this game boys!" Coach Q said hyping the Guys up
The game was an amazing game! Keith got the first goal! Then the kings scored, Kaner got the next goal! Kings got 2 more goals. Then Kaner got another goal and tied up the game 3-3! They had to go into Overtime! Tazer got the puck! It was him and Kane taking it up to the net, 2-2, tazer passes to Kane, Kane shoots, and he scores!!!!!! Kane with a Hat trick!!! HATRICK KANE!!!!! Chicago Blackhawks are going to the Stanley Cup Finals against the Boston Bruins!
*In the locker room*
"WE'RE GOING TO THE FUCKING STANLEY CUP FINALS!!!!!!!!!!" Everyone in there was yelling and screaming of excitement! Even people in the stands were still freaking out! They played their hearts out and deserved that win! Sharp gave Kaner the belt that they give out after every game.
"This goes to the guy who played amazingly tonight, scored an unbelievable goal, and got his first hat trick! Kaner!" They all yelled and cheered for him! "Way to go Kaner!"
"Alright boys! Go home, drink it up at either one persons house, or just don't drink at all. I don't want you guys getting your partying out of control. So Stay in tonight please! Get a good nights rest and see you tomorrow for a late practice. Good game again guys!" Coach Q said as he left
"Patrick" Paul said, Both looked up, "Sorry, Kane."
"Yeah!" Kane said taking off his gear
"Can I talk to you?" Paul asked
"Yeah give me a min." Kane got ready to go, then walked over to Paul
"What's up Paul?"
"I want you to take Christian to the doctor for his heart problem." Paul said
Kane was shocked, "What! Why? Is he ok?"
"He's fine. He's actually sleeping right now, but I think he needs it checked out. By a Heart Doctor."
"Paul, I took him to the ER, they said he'll be fine, and if it really starts to bug him that I should bring him in. He hasn't complained yet. And I trust the kid." Kane said without being worried
"Alright. He's your brother, and not mine, so whatever. Just hope I don't have to say I told you so...." Paul just walked away
"Kaner! Party at Sharpies house! You going?" Crow asked
Patrick looked at his brother, "You up for going to the Sharps house?"
Christian didn't mind, so they went.
*At the Sharps House*
"Hey Kaner and family!" Everyone yelled as they walked in
"Gina want anything to drink? We're spending the night here so you can drink if you'd like." Kane said opening his beer.
Gina couldn't refuse his offer, knowing she would get with Kane later that night, so she took a drink.
The guys were all sitting around talking, a bunch of kids were swimming in the pool, and having a fun night. Christians' chest was really hurting so he laid down on the couch and fell asleep.
A few of the guys werereally drunk including Kane and kept wanting to mess with Christian, but Sharp wouldn't let them. Gina dragged Kanes' drunk ass up the stairs into the bedroom for the rest of the night. All guys with wives were upstairs as well. If it was a girlfriend, they were downstairs.
The kids were asleep in the basement and Christian was passed out on the couch.
"Follow me!" Paul walked into the stretching room, "Sit your ass down on the table now!"
