"And, at center, from Turku, Finland, your captain, wearing number 9, Mikko Koivu!" The announcer finished. "Ladies and gentlemen, please rise for your 2013-2014 Minnesota Wild!"
The arena seemed to explode into cheers, and the spotlight moved from the Wild players, to the stage at center ice.
"Ladies and gentlemen, please direct your attention to center ice. Performing his hit song, As Long As You Love Me, please welcome Justin Bieber!"
"Fuck." I said to Mike. "What a joke. Who the fuck hired this clown?"
The music started, and I tried to tune it out, and focus on the upcoming game. I glanced at the stands, and saw screaming fans everywhere.
"Jake, you ready?" Called Dustin.
I nodded.
"Good." He said.
The song ended, and I skated toward the bench, trying to drown out the screams.
"Jake?" Darryl patted me on the shoulder. "Get us a goal."
