"Pat can u come here for a sec?" Natalie Vaughn soon to be Mrs. Natalie Kane called to her fiancée from her bedroom. "Yeah babe hold on," he called back sitting in the living room in their new apartment they bought together last summer. He was playing video games when she called so he hesitated but finally made his way to the bedroom.

He knocked before entering but found his fiancée sitting on the bed with her dress half on putting her earrings in. He had thought to himself that she had never looked more beautiful. She looked up and smiled at him before standing up and turning around urging for him to zip up her flowing spaghetti straps baby blue dress.

She said thank you as she went back into the bathroom to finish getting ready. She grabbed her silver clutch out of the bathroom stuffing it with her phone and some touch up supplies for later before heading out to meet Pat back in the living room. Natalie gave him a quick once over before google over and fixing his white and same blue striped tie on his suit. "Can we finally go now?" Patrick said after waiting an extra 20 mins for her to get ready compared to him. She rolled her eyes at him before she nodded her head with a smile slipping on her sandals and walking out the door.

Now they headed in Pat's new Tahoe to the church where his best friend and teammate Jonathan Toews would be getting married to Bella a girl that Natalie set him up with after she dumped him for Pat. And Jon has never been happier. Actually Natalie and Patrick got engaged before Bella and Jonathan did, but because Erica, Pat's oldest younger sister, was set on August 8th for the wedding date they had to wait another 2 months after Jon and Bella.

But Pat was okay with it obviously, considering he's a guy. But Natalie on the other hand was starting to get anxious because she's been wanting this since the day she first met him when she moved in to her new house in Buffalo when she was only 9 years old.

They walked into the church past the sign that read 6/15 Matson-Toewsand Natalie could only imagine her's and Pat's names on a sign like this in a couple months. The church was small, but it wasn't cramped, it was comfortable. There were blue ribbon that hung from the rafters of the church. Pat was Jon's best man and Natalie was one of Jon's groomsman. At first Natalie was a little hesitant about it but looking at the other bridesmaids she was happy to be a groomsman. But she was still in a bridesmaid dress but she stood on Jon's side of the alter.

Bella walked down the aisle in a beautiful mermaid dress that fit her perfectly. Natalie just looked at Jon who just stared at Bella with his dark brown eyes with that half smile on his face. Pat noted how beautiful Natalie looked with her hair flowing down her shoulders and partially curled with a blue orchid behind her ear. Natalie didn't have a bouquet but she had the same blue flower that the groomsmen had on their dress coats She caught him staring and turned around and smiled a cheesy smile in his direction before turning back around to continue to watch the rest of the ceremony.

After the ceremony everyone was relieved to finally get outside where reception was held at a golf course. Natalie helped design the seating cards which were pucks with a business card on it with the guests names and a blue ribbon that kept it in place.

The couple met up with the happy newlyweds once they arrived. They greeted each other with hugs on the dance floor. "Bella can we change into gym shoes? These shoes are really uncomfortable." Pat whined to the bride. Natalie quickly gave him a swat to the arm. She quickly shook her head with a smile before twirling around to her husband not caring about what Pat whined about. "Pat not every bride is going to let you wear your gym shoes at a wedding." Natalie whispered just loud enough so only Pat could hear her and wrapped her arms around his neck. He rolled his eyes and gave her a quick peck.

After the cake had been cut and the dances had been shared everyone made their separate ways home. "Pat can you believe we are going to be married in a couple months?" Nat asked breaking the silence. He laughed, "Nat that means we have to go through this thing all over again." he trailed off, "I know won't it be great?" he gave her hand a quick squeeze, "Only you," he said shaking his head. She shot him a look, "I doubt that." she smirked, " Why can't we just go to Vegas and get married!" she sounded like a child bouncing up and down in her seat in the car. "Because if we go and get married now your parents would have wasted all that money on the flowers an venue and all thy shit you cared about just a few days ago." she shrugged her shoulders, "Yeah I guess."

Back at the apartment Natalie walked in with Pat's dress coat on and ran over to the answering machine and listened to her father's voice telling her to call. Once he answered instantly her eyes that were once filled with excitement fell to a sad and depressed look. They became glossy as she was about to cry as she listened to her father's deep voice. Pat instantly went to he side to comfort her as she hung up the phone. "What's wrong Nat?" she couldn't speak there was this huge lump in her throat that just kept growing until she finally let it out and started sobbing into Pat's shoulder. And once she was finally able to pull herself together she sat up in his arms, "My Mom died."
