Don't Get Laid Where You Get Paid
~A Great Distraction~
"Jordan was um.....in bed with Amanda," I said to Sidney who snapped into shock mode. I stared at him for s couple of seconds and noticed that his facail expression hasn't changed at all. "Um Sid....you ok?" "
Yeah," he croaked.
"Well what's wr-"
"When you say 'in bed with Amanda', do you mean sleeping, or having sex?"
"Sex. He was enjoying her bouncing around I guess," my voice got low. For some reason it was awkward to hear Sidney say sex. I don't know why, but it is.
"How could he do that to you? Does he not have a brain? Does he not have feelings? What is this guys problem?" he questioned, running his hands through his hair and pacing back and forth.
"I guess not," I mumbled.
"You want me to go kick his ass for you? Cuz I gladly will."
"No, no, no. If I want someone to kick his ass, I think I could do it myself," He smiled at me, laughing so slightly. "Plus, you two fighting started this whole thing remember?" He took a moment to think.
"I think your right. But I really want to Kayla, I really do."
"Why?" He got so serious at that point, he got closer to me, making me feel a rush of energy.
"Because I care about you, that's why," I was shocked that he said that.
"In what way?" I asked.
"In the way that I have a tremendous amount of love and respect for you, and that I care for you like your family," he licked his lips and continued, "And I kinda," he was cut off by someone at the door. Okay magic door person, you choose now to interrupt!?! I guess I'll have to figure out what he wanted to say afterwards.
Turns out it was some of the guys, so Sid went to talk with them. When he came back he noticed me looking at my ID card, why I don't know.
"Nice picture," he smirked.
"Yeah, it's lovely isn't it?"
"I think it's very nice."
"Are you kidding? I look like I'm on my way to jail?"
"Were you?"
"God no! I've never been a bad girl, that's my sister."
"Really?"
"Yup, Jen. She got messed up in high school and got in with the wrong crowd. Then she went to a party and was with her friends who were doing stuff and they all got booked when she didn't do anything."
"Wow, I'm sorry to hear that."
"Yup, and at 17 she had her daughter Lacey."
"So your an aunt?"
"Yup, to a few actually," I smiled thinking about them. He raised an eyebrow interested.
"Care to explain?"
"Sure. My parents split up when I was a kid, cuz my dad had to transfer out of the country, and my mom refused to go with him. So they each got remarried. So on my mom's side I have an older sister Libby, she's 23, and an older sister Jen, whose 22. On my dad's side I got two older brothers, Dan, whose 25 and Chris, whose 23. Then my parents had my and my sister Abbey."
"Wow, so how many nieces and nephews do you have?"
"Well Jen has Lacey, who is now...6. Libby has a baby girl named Lia, whose 5 months. And Dan is married with two sons named Carter and Andrew, whose almost 3 and 1. So four nieces and nephews."
"Wow, and I only have a sister whose just hitting teenage years," he chuckled. "Do you miss your family?"
"I do, but I still see Abbey, since she lives with me, and the others are everywhere, so I guess. But you guys are like family, so I'm set."
"Aw," we hugged.
I released a huge yawn. "You should get some sleep," he said.
"I should."
"Stay here, cuz I doubt you want to go back there."
"Yeah," I chuckled.
"Come here," he said with his arms wide open. We embraced in a hug and he pulled me back into the bed with him. We lay like that for a couple of minutes until he said "goodnight Kayla."
"Night Sidney, thanks for the help, you were a great distraction."
"You're welcome, anytime," with that, we fell sound asleep. It was a great distraction to what happened today. I'm really thankful Sidney was here for me today to help me get Jordan off of my mind.
