“Hi, I’m Bailey Thomas here to see Ms. Jessica Evans” she told the security guard sitting at the entrance desk to the TD Garden.

“She’ll be up in a few minutes. You can wait for her over there.” The guard stated gesturing towards a bench after he had contacted Jessica’s office.

Bailey’s mind started to drift to thoughts of Tyler while she sat waiting for Jessica. She reminisced about the first time they met here and how sweet he was to all the patients at the Summer Games.It’s hard to believe the contrast between the jerk who assumed she was just a puck fuck to the gentleman she knew him to be now.

“What are you smiling about?” Jessica’s words brought Bailey back to reality.

“Nothing, just in a good mood I guess.”

“Are you sure you weren’t thinking about Segs?” Jessica said in jest and Bailey blushed.

“Oh my God! You were thinking about him,” she laughingly said. "So, what’s up with you two anyways?”

“Nothing.”

“Bailey, I just caught you daydreaming about him a few minutes ago and I know you both had fun at the concert. So don’t tell me nothing!”

“It really isn’t a big deal. We’ve talked on the phone a couple of times and text each other a lot, but that’s it. I haven’t seen him since the concert 2 weeks ago, because our schedules never seem to align.”

“Well let’s change that right now! Follow me.” Jessica said very determined as she pulled on Bailey’s arm.

“What are you talking about? Where are you taking me?”

“You’ll see” Jessica was becoming more excited by the moment.

As they got off the elevator and headed toward the club area of the Garden Bailey became more confused.

“Did your office move?”

“Nope” was the only response Jessica gave as they continued to walk. Once they got into the seating area of the Garden, Bailey knew exactly what Jessica was up to; the Bruins were practicing.

“You brought me here to watch Tyler practice?”

“Not exactly, practice should be almost over. I thought you might want to talk to him in person.” She said obviously proud of herself.

“I can go down there?”Bailey questioned as she felt butterflies in her stomach at the thought of seeing Tyler again.

“As long as you’re with me you can. Besides, you have cards to deliver, don’t you?" Sensing Bailey’s nerves, Jessica gave her a reason to be there and talk to Tyler.

When they got down to the lower level, they took a seat a few rows behind the player's bench and watched the rest of the practice.

“Stop staring in space and pass the fucking puck!” Marchy yelled as he smacked Dougie on the back of his helmet.

“Hey! Cut it out!” Dougie replied.

“What the hell are you looking at?” Krug asked.

“Just look at her?” Dougie said pointing towards Bailey. “She’s hot!!”

Marchy and Krug looked over and Marchy immediately recognized Bailey and called out “Hey Segs, get over here!”

“What? No! I saw her first! Segs always gets the girls!” Dougie cried out to Marchy.

“What’s up?” Tyler asked but saw for himself and smiled as he glanced in the direction the guys were looking.

“Dougie, thinks he has a shot with your girl.” Marchy chuckled to Segs.

“Sorry Dougie, she’s taken!” Segs said patting his teammate on his back.

“Are you two fucking with me again? Is she really with you Segs?” Dougie inquired.

Segs smiled and said, “Not yet, but I hope to change that soon.”

“So you are messing with me! Look Segs, you can get any girl you want, let me hit this one.” Dougie said almost begging.

“She’s off limits to everyone on this team!” Tyler said standing a little taller and giving an intimidating look towards Dougie.

“Don’t worry Dougie, you can have her tomorrow after Segs is done.” Krug joked and then felt Segs push him. Marchy got between them and pulled Tyler away before things escalated.

“Whoa, dude that’s your teammate!” Marchy said staring at Tyler’s still very agitated face.

“Sorry man, but I didn’t like the way he spoke about Bailey. She’s not that kind of girl!” Tyler said, clearly frustrated.

“It was just a joke and given your history what else would they expect?”

“I know, but she’s different. I’m not going to just fuck and dump her!”

“I get it man, you really like her. Go apologize and tell them that.”

Tyler skated back over to where Krug and Dougie, who were now surrounded by most of the team, were. Brad by his side as he began to speak.
“I’m sorry I pushed you. I was just frustrated with what you said. I really like Bailey and don’t want her to be just another hook-up! I screwed up the first time I met her and treated her like a bunny just like you basically said. I’m still trying to make up for that mistake now. I fucked up, yet she’s giving me a second chance. I guess we’re just friends right now. That’s a strange thing for me and I’m not quite sure how to act. I don’t know what’s going to happen between us, but I know I can’t handle the thought of her being with another guy and certainly not a teammate! I’m sorry I took out my frustrations on you.” Tyler sincerely said to his teammate.

“No harm, no foul. I hope everything works out with her.” Krug said putting his hand out towards Tyler. The two shook hands and gave each other a pat on the back and they went back to practice for another 15 minutes. Tyler didn’t know it, but after listening to his candid confession to Krug, his teammates decided they were on a mission to help Tyler with his relationship with Bailey.

As soon as practice was over, Tyler and Brad skated over to say hi to Jessica and Bailey. Tyler was praying that they hadn’t noticed his indiscretion with his teammate a few minutes earlier. Fortunately for him if they did, they were kind enough not to bring it up. He learned several of Bailey’s patients had cancelled so she decided to personally deliver cards patients made to thank the Bruins for their help during the Summer Games. They made plans to grab Bergy and Andrew then meet the girls in Jessica’s office after they showered and changed.
