I walked up to the front door of the address Sophia had texted me. It was a large house, with three levels, and a giant yard.

I slowly raised my hand, and knocked on the door. It opened, and Sophia was waiting inside. She smiled.

"Hey you!" I said, reaching in to hug her.

"Hey. Come on in!" She told me.

I thanked her, and followed her into a large living room with 4 different couches.

She gestured for me to sit, and she sat down next to me, leaning her head against my shoulder.

I smiled at Liam as he stumbled down the stairs in his bathrobe, and almost crashed into the kitchen counter.

"You're here early." He remarked.

I nodded, and noticed a man behind the counter for the first time.

He was tanned, and he had sandy hair like Liam's. He was wearing a T shirt and cargo shorts, and he had a huge smile on his face.

"Is this the famed Jake, that I've heard so much about?" He asked, and I nodded, smiling and extending my hand as he came around the counter.

He shook my hand, and smiled, patting me on the shoulder.

"Welcome to the family, son!" He laughed, and showed off his brilliant teeth.

I grinned. Just being around the guy made me cheerful and happy.

"What's going on for hockey today?" He asked, and Liam shrugged.

"We have a game at 7, so we need to be at the arena by 4." I told him, and he grinned.

"Where do you live? Who are your billets?" He asked me, and I shook my head.

"I don't have any billets." I told him. "I've been living in a hotel room that the team pays for."

"Well, we can billet you!" His response was so immediate that I had no idea what to say. "We have a spare room, right beside Sophia's bedroom on the 2nd floor!"

I was stunned, and he grabbed my arm, pulling me off of the couch and toward the stairs, causing Sophia to moan in protest as my shoulder was tugged violently from under her head.
