Tyler sighed staring at himself in the mirror. To other it may have seemed like an easy choice, over within mere seconds. However to him, it was an extremely important decision. He lifted the red tie to his neck once again, then the black. The red seemed playful, intense. The black more mysterious, sophisticated. Letting the red tie drop to the floor he quickly tied the black one around his neck before straightening it a few times.

“Ty? Are you ready?” A feminine voice called from his apartment door.

“Yeah one sec!” Tyler called out spritzing his favorite cologne on his neck before grabbing his suit jacket and heading out. “You look nice.” He politely smiled to the redhead waiting in his living room.

“Thank you, you look very handsome.” She giggled blushing as she fixed the halter on her navy blue dress. Tyler cleared his throat and buttoned his jacket.
“Now let’s go over what you say if anyone asked about us.” Tyler began, wincing at her deflated expression. “If the reporters ask you say that you’re a very good friend of mine and nothing else. Okay?”

“I know, you’ve only reminded me a million times. Could it be any more obvious that you hate me?” The girl sighed holding back tears.

“Emma I don’t hate you, it’s just the way things have to be.” Tyler sighed giving Emma a one armed hug. “Come on, let’s go have some fun, yeah?”

When Tyler arrived at the benefit, reporters flocked to him and his date napping pictures and asking questions. As he answered the news reporter’s question’s about Stanley Cup finals he kept a close watch on Emma as she also answered a few questions. “Tyler and I are really good friends, I’ve known him forever. He’s like a brother to me.” Tyler smiled as he over heard her answer, taking a step in her direction. He gently took her by the elbow and lead her inside where the event was starting. It was a benefit that hundreds of celebrities and athletes were invited to give generously to the charity of the night. The event was held by an extreme Hollywood socialite and business woman, who also happened to be dating Patrick Kane, which gave almost every hockey player a ticket in. With Emma on his arm, Tyler confidently walked through the large entrance into the beautifully decorated banquet hall. He spotted her immediately, how could he not? It was as if every force on earth had pulled him into her. Her black dress was stunning as it flowed to the floor while she leaned against the bar with an air of boredom, a slight smile on her lips. She sipped a bright pink drink, stirring it with strawberry on the end of an umbrella. Her lips were bright red, making Tyler’s mouth salivate. Her hair was curled and off to one shoulder exposing the creamy pale of her back. He had to touch her.

“Why don’t you find our seats? I’m going to get a drink you want anything?” Tyler asked directing his attention briefly to Emma.

“No, you go ahead. I’ll look for our table.” Emma smiled leaving Tyler side.

He tried so very hard to not run to bar. It took all the self control in his body not to seem obvious as he stuck his hands in his pockets crossing to her.

“You’re a little young to be drinking.” He said deeply, trying to appear suave as he took the seat next to her, avoiding her gaze.

“Not in Canada.” She answered with an amused tone as she soaked in his appearance.

“You never drank, even when you were in Canada.” He smirked letting his eyes wander to hers.

“Its juice.” She insisted. “Try it if you like.” She emphasized by pushing the drink towards him.

“I trust you.” He stated in a low voice. “You look beautiful.”

“Stop, you’re making it obvious.” She said taking a sip of her drink, turning away from Tyler.

“Making what obvious? That you’re beautiful? That’s already obvious.” Tyler smiled leaning in closer to her.

“No the fact that you want to take me home. Now stop.” She insisted with pleading eyes.

“But I am going to take you home.” He confidently replied as a tall man with shaggy blond hair approached them.

“Nigel, darling!” Tyler’s eyes widened as he watched her stand and hug the man. “Where have you been? I’ve looked everywhere for you.” She giggled making Tyler roll his eyes.

“Nicole, I’m the one that’s been looking for you.” Nigel replied holding the woman close. Tyler stood abruptly making his presence known.

“Oh sweetheart, this is my friend Tyler Seguin. Tyler, this is boyfriend Nigel.” Nicole sweetly introduced. With smoldering eyes and a red face, Tyler shook the man’s hand before quickly excusing himself to his date.

When Tyler sat beside Emma he could feel his blood pressure rising. Taking a large sip of the water that was set on the table he tried to compose himself. Dinner was served but Tyler could not take his eyes off of her. The way her hand rested on Nigel’s thigh, the way she whispered in his ear all the while holding eye contact with Tyler.

“Segs what’s going on? You’re spacey bro.” Brad Marchand elbowed Tyler in the arm making Tyler force a smile at him.

“Nah, im fine.” Tyler shook his head eating his dinner and mingling with the few teammates who were able to make it to the event.

“Bed, bed, bed. No, Tyler bed!” Nicole exclaimed as Tyler pushed her against his door, his hands roaming her dress trying desperately to find the zipper. “Tyler.” She added more sternly. He pulled her to him as she wrapped her legs around him, as he stumbled to his bed. “Don’t rip it, it cost a fortune.” She breathlessly commanded while Tyler pulled the dress from her body.

“I’ll buy you a new one if I do, I just want you now.” He moaned into her collarbone alternating between licking and biting.

“What’s new?” She giggled her hand making its way down to his zipper.
