Colder than ice
The start of a new beginning

When I got to the UC I was shaking, but not cause I was cold. It was because I was scared. I laced up my skates and skated harder than I normally do. I kept going til I saw Jon. I skated over to him and he skated up to me. For a little bit we stood there in silence. "Babe... Tell me what's wrong." he said looking at me with those big brown caring eyes. "I don't want us to split up due to the fight between me and Lindsey..." I said looking at my skates. Jon hugged me and I felt myself crying. Why is he quite? Is he going to end it here and now? Then out of no where Jon kissed me on the lips hard. "I love you way to much to ever end it over a dumb ass fight." he said looking at me and I saw something shocking, tears were steaming down his face. I wiped his tears and kissed him. "I love you too." I said hugging him and pressing my face to his chest.
When Jon and I got back to his apartment we were holding hands but were pretty quite. Once inside Jon turned to me and said, "Come to the game tonight. I have a surprise for you." I smiled when he said that. "Alright." I said smiling like a dork. "Oh and ummm.... before the first period can you come down to the locker room?" I nodded due to Jon usually needing a good-luck kiss before a game.
When I was heading to the game I could help but think what was the surprise. I kept thinking of it when i got there and headed down to the locker room. Pat was standing outside in full gear. "What's up Kaner?" i said smiling. "Not much Tazer told me to look out for you and lead you in." Pat said leading me into the locker room. When we got in there Jon was the only one in there and Pat left to the tunnel."Can I have a good-luck kiss?" he asked with his puppy dog face. I kissed him. "So what's the surprise?" I asked. "You'll find out soon... Oh! And Q wants you to assist him tonight." he said heading to the tunnel. I headed to the bench and waived to Q and waited.
After the national anthem I saw Jon give the announcer person a thumbs up. "Amy Johnson please come out on the ice." I turned bright red but did what they said and gave a sharp look at Jon and I heard murmuring from the fans and the other team. When I got on the ice Jon went and got the mic from the guy who had it. At that moment I swear things slowed down. Jon got down on one knee and spoke into the mic saying, "Amy Johnson. The most beautiful girl in the world. Would you do me the honor of marrying me?" He showed me his 2013 Stanley Cup ring and my jaw dropped. "Yes." I said and all the fans and player cheered and time went back to normal. Jon slid his ring on my ring finger and I hugged him and kissed him. I definatly wasn't expecting this.
