Raegan sat in her car waiting for the clock to change to 4:30am. She looked at the front if the airport than her phone went off.

She jumped out of her car and ran up to the front doors of the airport and waited for the team to come though. As she waited she looked through her Instagram feed seeing stuff from her friend Cody down in Nashville. She smiled see that he was finally getting into the groove of the team down there. Hitting the like button on a picture of him at a rodeo with some of his teammates, she was about to leave a comment when a pair of arms wrapped around her and lifted her off the ground.

“Rick!”

She smiled when she heard him laugh. He put her down and Raegan turned around in his arms and kissed him.

“I’m so happy to see you.”

She said with a small smile. Rick smiled at her and kissed her forehead, making her close her eyes.

“I missed you so much.”

Rick sat on the sofa with a bowl of popcorn in his lap as Raegan ran into her bedroom and grabbed another handful of blankets for them. Putting handfuls of popcorn in his mouth he watched the screen of the TV, which was on the Blackhawks game highlights from a few nights ago.

“What do you want to watch?”

Raegan asked when she came in with four blankets in her hands. Rick turned and watched her walk into the room and lay out the blankets on the sofa.

“Whatever’s fine.”

“Really? So if I wanted to watch the Notebook-”

“Okay fine, Um Die-Hard?”

Raegan laughed and walked over the the little bookcase her and Mary had for movies. She found Live Free or Die Hard. She smiled and opened the DVD player and popped it in than hurried over to the sofa, grabbing the remote on the way. She found her spot next to Rick’s side and curled up next to him like a little puppy. Raegan rested her head on his shoulder and watched the TV as the main menu showed up and she hit the little play button. Rick kissed the top of her head and then grabbed another handful of popcorn as the movie started to play.

After about an hour into the movie the door opened and Mary came in. Both Raegan and Rick turned their eyes from the movie and looked at Mary. She had a backpack on, her book bag from school on her left arm, her hockey bag over her right shoulder, a take out bag from McDonald’s in her right hand along with her keys, and a Tupperware box in her left hand.

“Jeez woman. You got a lot of baggage.”

Mary looked up seeing the two on the sofa.

“Oh Rick you’re in town, hey. Wait do you play my Hawks tomorrow?”

“Hey Mary, and yes we do and you two got tickets.”

“Oh, my God! Maybe you could get Patrick to introduce me to Toews.”

“Wait like Patrick Kane?”

Rick said turning his head to face Raegan, who was staring at Mary like she had just kicked a puppy.

“You haven’t told him? Oh, sorry. I’ll go to my room now.”

With that Mary hurried off down the hallway to her bedroom. When the door shut Raegan turned to look at Rick who was just looking at her waiting for an answer.

“Remember when I told you that he was hitting on me at work?”

Rick nodded and Raegan took this as a sign to continue.

“So, I was a bitch to him and he asked my boss for my number and because his Patrick Kane, Jim gave him my number.”

“Give me your phone.”

Rick told her flatly. Raegan grabbed her phone off of the coffee table and handed it to him. He unlocked her phone and went to the messages and saw she had 34 unread messages from P.Kane. He opened the messages and read through them. When he was down he put the phone down on the sofa and looked at his girlfriend.

“He’s going to get his ass beat tomorrow.”

“Rick-”

“Regs. You’re my girl and this little…you won’t understand.”

Raegan looked down at her phone in his hands and took it from hi. Knowing that she couldn't understand. Sure she could understand on a certain level but this was a level she could never be on. The manly, testosterone, hockey player level. And jealous was something that didn't set well with Rick.

“Fine, but you better win.”

“Please he doesn't fight.”

“What if the rest of the them come after you?”

Rick smiled and kissed her lightly.

“Please I could take on the Blues for you.”

Raegan giggled and turned a light shade of red at his words. She put her phone on the coffee table and climbed into Rick’s lap. Rick wrapped his arms around her sides, pulling her into his chest. They sat there and watched their movie as Mary walked around the apartment for a few minutes before heading to her room for the night.

When the credits rolled up the TV Raegan was asleep in Rick’s arms. He wanted to wake her up, but he couldn't bring himself to do so. He loved it when she was asleep she looked at peace for once in her life. She was always worrying, thinking about everything too much, and she would bring herself to have anxiety attacks because of this. He could understand because of her past, but he just wish she could come to peace with things, but he could same thing about himself.

“Baby I’m gonna take you to bed.”

Rick whispered into her ear before he say up with her in his arms. She mumbled something in her sleep then she was calm again. He chuckled and stood up with her in his arms. He walked across the room and down the short hallway to her bedroom door, that thankfully was open. Entering the room he laid her down on the bed then covered her with her blue and green Canucks blanket that was laying on top of the many random blankets on her queen size bed. When she was still asleep and warm Rick walked out of the room and back to the living room and cleaned up.

A door shutting in the apartment awoke Raegan in the morning. The sound was from Mary who had left for her morning classes, so she knew that it was around 9:45 am.
Raegan found herself in bed on her stomach, her Canucks blanket was mostly on her legs and her bare skin was getting goosebumps as she woke up. She turned her head looking around her bedroom, seeing that she was alone and the time was 9:47 am. She sat up and stretched and saw a note stuck with Rick’s hand writing on the bed frame. She grabbed it and when it was in her hands she read the letters written on the white piece of notebook paper.

Morning sleeping beauty,
Sorry that I had to leave for morning practice and that I didn’t wake you up. I couldn’t wake you, you just looked so cute. I cleaned up from last night and did the dishes and stuff so you could have a relaxed morning.
Anyways AV said that practice should be out around 11.
The boys want to see you and we’re having lunch after practice. You pick.

Raegan smiled at the note, folded it and placed it on her night stand. She got out of bed and walked out of her room. She walked down the hall and saw that she was alone. She smiled to herself and walked over to the sofa, to where she last remembered having her phone. It wasn’t on the floor where she left it. A look of confusion was written on her face, she walked into the kitchen and saw another piece of paper with a black arrow pointing down. Under the drawn arrow was her phone plugged into the wall charger. She smiled and shook her head.

He has too much time on his hands.

Raegan thought to herself as she grabbed her hand seeing what she had missed in her sleep.
A missed call from Rick, a missed call from Kevin Bieksa, a text from Ryan Kesler, a text from Mary, a text from Tanner Glass, a missed call from Aaron Rome, a missed call from Alex Burrows, and a text from Mason Raymond.

She shook her hand again and clicked on the texts first.

She laughed at her friends and responded to them all.

My sleep was wonderful. But I miss you!

Yeah I’m coming to lunch, yes to the game, and I wish ;( I miss you all too!

Raegan sat in the island counter chair and thought of where they should go to lunch. She really wanted good food and good burger. When the restaurant popped into her head she smiled and sent a text off to Rick.

Wildfire. It’s on Erie Street. Meet there at noon?

She smiled then put her phone down and got ready for her day ahead of her.

Raegan walked down the somewhat busy Chicago street of Erie Street. She was running a few minutes late to lunch, but she knew that it wasn't that big if a deal to the boys. When she got the front of the restaurant she saw Sami Salo standing inside, waiting for her.
A girl dressed in all black opened the glass door for Raegan then she walked over to Sami and smiled.

“Sami!”

He turned and when he saw her he smiled and hugged her.

“There you are. Gosh we missed you.”

She laughed and Sami let go of her then the two walked to the table that the rest of the team were sitting at. When the two got closer the first person to see them was Roberto Luongo who was sitting across the table and could see them.

“Regs!”

He said with a smile on his face, making everyone turn to look at her and Sami. A hint of blush came onto Raegan’s face when the whole team was looking at her. Rick stood up and walked over to her and gave her a quick kiss before they sat down.

“Hey baby.”

She smiled at him and took her hand in his.

“Hey.”

“She is already sitting next to me!”

Tanner said loudly raising his hand into the air. Raegan laughed and walked over to the free chair that was to his right . When she sat down she was to the right of Tanner and on her left was Ryan Kesler. Sitting down a margarita was placed in front of her by Ryan, making a laugh come out of her.

“What’s this?”

“Oh come on. We know that you love those.”

Kevin Bieksa said with a smile on his face from across the table. She lightly kicked him from under the table and took a drink anyways.

“Oh this hits the spot.”

She said with a laugh and picked up the menu in front of her flipping straight to the burgers. She read through the items and found the thick prime Angus burger, it had almost everything she wanted right now.

She closed her menu and seat it in the middle of the table starting the pile of menus.

“What ya getting?”

Tanner asked placing his menu down on top of her’s.

“Prime Angus burger. You?”

“Char-broiled cheeseburger.”

“Sounds amazing.”

“I hope it does.”

“Kes your order?”

“Baby back ribs.”

“Well I know who’s food I’m stealing.”

Raegan said with a laugh as she grabbed her drink again. Some of the guys laughed and continued to read the options of food.

When the food came there was even more small talk then before the food came out of the kitchen. A lot of it was Raegan checking up with the guys up on her life and how much longer she was going to be in the windy city. She would listen to some of the guys stories of the roads trips that they have taken so far and what was going on with their families back home in Vancouver. The more that the guys talked the more Raegan missed it. She missed her friends, the guys, walks on the seawall with Rick, their plans to get as dog, and everything she was missing out on with these hockey players.

“I’m moving back.”

She said out loud when she placed her burger back on the white plate.

“What?”

“I’m moving back. I’ll put in my two weeks on my way back home and I’ll start packing. I’m moving back.”

Cheers erupted from the men around her. She didn't care that Mary hadn't given her the clear good to go pass to move back. She was missing out on her life. The life she wanted to live not the life that made her unhappy.

She smiled across the table at Rick, who just couldn't stop smiling at the news that just left her lips.

They were finally going to be together again. And no blonde hot shot Patrick Kane was going to sweep Raegan off of her feet away from him.
