Patricks POV

as we drive home from that school parking I keep thinking of how were going to tell them. Maybe I should just let Lacey do it it's her problem. No that wouldn't work. As we pull up I see Lacey standing on the porch waiting, sailor runs out to greet her mother but mason stays behind. Ever since the divorce he has had a little problem with her. Even talking about her drives him mad.

Lacey's POV

I've only been standing on his porch for less than 5minutes when his black Cadillac escalade pulls up into the driveway. Sailor comes running to see with a big smile on her face but Mason not so much. Ever since the divorce he hasn't been thrilled to see me. Neither has Landon or Patrick but I know why Patrick is upset with me but I don't know why the kids are.

Patricks POV
"Ok kids go unpack your book bags and then come and sit in the living room, come in and sit down Lacey." As the kids show up I decide that Landon doesn't need to be here. He doesn't understand what's happening and he doesn't need to se everyone upset like they most likely will be. " where are you taking him?" Lacey asks confused. " he doesn't need to be here for this" I say and leave to take him upstairs to his to play, when I return mason asks "is it true just tell me I want to know" " it's true honey but that doesn't mean that I don't love you." Lacey says softly. "Yes, don't ever think that your mother doesn't love you." Even though I don't like her and I don't want her around my kids doesn't mean that they shouldn't know their mother loves them, I know she does. As I look around I find Sailor in the chair crying. "What's wrong honey ?" I ask "is that why Mason doesn't like mama?" "No I didn't even know about this till now Sailor" he says angrily "then why?" She asks. " because she broke u and ruined our family, no I know why she did it" he says quietly. They then both start to cry. " ok Lacey it's time for you to go, I can take care of this. " " no I will not leave I am their mother I can take care of them" " you lost that right to be their mother when you became a drug addict, when you brought your drug dealer to the house while the kids were here, when you went to a federal prison and missed 1 1/2 years of their life. Oh and when you lost custody, you were lucky you even got supervised visitation rights." I yell. " I will get my kids back Patrick you just watch and when I do you will never see them again I will make sure of it." She says as she gets up and heads to the door. " the court will never give you them because who in their right mind would give full custody to women who is a drug addict and put her kids lives in danger." I yell back. BAM! She slammed the door as she walks out.
"daddy I don't wanna live with Mama anymore" sailor cries. "I know I will never let that happen because I love all of you and I want what's best for you, why don't we go see uncle Jonathan." "Yeah" they yell as they go upstairs to get ready. We all need some fun and I need Jonathan my best friend, let's hope Jennifer isn't there.
