A Relationship by Chance
Graduation
I heard my name being called, Alexandra Samson. I was the last one to be called because I was valedictorian. After I received my diploma I gave my speech. I was so nervous. I couldn't believe I was finally leaving this place. I was really excited to leave this small town. I have always been a city girl. This fall I would be attending Boston University. I was going to major in sports medicine. Lucky for me my best friend was coming with me to Boston. She didn't know what she wanted to do yet. We were going to share an apartment. Number one I didn't trust strangers and number two I wouldn't be able to bring my dog Claude with me if I lived in a dorm. My parents were so proud of me. They gushed to everyone about me going to Boston University. After graduation I cried for a while. I couldn't believe I was living my dream. I have been going to Boston since I was six. I knew I wanted to go to college there since age 11 or 12. Not only because I love the city and people but I love their sport teams, especially the Bruins. I already got my tickets for opening night; our seats were right on the glass on the side the Bruins warmed up on. I was also bringing my best friend. I had my 13th birthday party at a hockey game. It was definitely a night I would remember. Since then my best friend has loved hockey. Of course the hot guys helped but we were never puck bunnies. My favorite Bruin was Tyler Seguin I definitely had a crush on him but what girls don't. My friend has not seen the Bruins yet but I told her Tyler Seguin was off limits. Obviously I knew I would never date or even meet Tyler Seguin. He could have any girl he wanted. He definitely didn't want a small town girl from Hadley, NY. I wasn't that pretty either to be honest. I was tall and had dark curly and sometimes frizzy hair. I would start packing up my room and go shopping for stuff for the apartment with my soon to be roommate Cherokee.
