I woke up at 10. Today I was going to lounge around. I got up made my bed and went to the kitchen to get breakfast. I microwaved pancakes and put some whipped cream and syrup. I also made some chocolate milk. (I’m not much of a coffee drinker.) Then went to the living room. I turned on the TV and took my laptop out. I got on face book. I haven’t really used it in a while. I got a message from my other best friend, Cassy. She is attending Stanford. She was going to come to Boston to go to school here and live with us, but she got this amazing scholarship from Stanford. We wanted her to take this opportunity so we told her to go.
Cassy: Hey Alex wanted to see how everything was going up there. Message me back when you get the chance.
I messaged her back.
Me: Heyy Cassy. How is school going? It’s so good to hear from you.
Cassy: Wanna Skype?
Me: Uh yeah I’m so excited to see you!! Do you want me to call you?
Cassy: Me too and yeah call me.
I go onto skype and called Cassy. It rang a couple times and she answered.
Me: Hey I love your hair.
Cassy: Oh thanks I just dyed it yesterday.
Me: So how is school?
Cassy: It’s ok but I miss my girls. Speaking of which where’s Cherokee?
Me: She’s sleeping we had a double date last night and were up pretty late last night.
Cassy: Oh… did you have a good time?
Me: Yeah Cherokee and I had a great time. Oh I forgot to tell you I made the soccer team.
Cassy: I’m so excited for you.
Me: Hey you know you can come visit whenever right?
Cassy: Yeah I might go during Thanksgiving or Christmas.
Me: That’s too far away. I miss you!!
Cassy: I miss you too. You can bet I will visit ASAP.
Cherokee’s point of view.
I woke up and got out of bed. I walked towards the living room and heard Alex talking. She was probably talking to Tyler. (Lovebirds) I went to the kitchen to get something to eat. Then I walked to the living room and saw she was talking to Cassy. I was so excited to see her. Alex turned to me and smiled and said “hey”. I said “hey girls”. I sat next to Alex on the couch and said “family reunion”. We were all talking about what we have been up to since graduation. Then Alex’s phone went off. She took her phone off the coffee table and had hat look in her eyes. I knew it was Tyler. She handed me the laptop and said “sorry, I’ll be right back”.
Alexandra’s point of view.
All of us were talking and my phone was going off. I handed the laptop to Cherokee and said “sorry, I’ll be right back”. I answered the phone and said “hello”. The other person said “good morning baby”. That’s when I knew it was Tyler. It was adorable how he called me baby.
Me: Good Morning Tyler.
Tyler: What’s up?
Me: Not much was skyping with my other best friend. Cherokee’s talking to her now. So what’s up with Tyler?
Tyler: Not much needed to hear your voice and wanted to see if you wanted to hangout tonight at my apartment. Brad won’t be home.
Me: I would love to hangout Tyler. Where’s Brad going?
Tyler: Ok see you at like six then. Oh and Brad is going to hangout with a couple guys from the team.
Me: Sounds good. You didn’t want to go with them?
Tyler: I can always hangout with them and between your school and soccer and my hockey I’m worried we won’t get to see each other and I want to spend every moment I can with you.
Cherokee’s Point of View.
After Alex left the room Cassy asked “who was that?” I told her it was probably Tyler.
Cassy: Who’s Tyler?
Me: Alex’s boyfriend, she didn’t tell you?
Cassy: No but she did tell me about the double date last night but she didn’t tell me who it was with.
Me: If I tell you, you have to promise you will keep it amongst us three. Ok, we went on a double date with Tyler Seguin and Brad Marchand.
Cassy: Oh my gosh Alex’s boyfriend is Tyler Seguin and you went out with Brad Marchand. I can’t believe it. Alex’s dream came true. How long have they been together? Oh and I swear I won’t say anything to anyone…
Me: Yeah they have only been together a couple days and yeah I’m not sure if Brad and I will date but he is def best guy friend material.
Alexandra’s Point of View.
Tyler: I mean it. So see you at six?
Me: Yes you can count on it. Do you want me to bring anything?
Tyler: I was thinking we should watch a movie so if you want to bring a movie and of course bring your beautiful self.
Me: Ok I’ll see what I have see you at six. Bye Tyler.
Tyler: Bye beautiful.
Tyler’s point of view
I woke up after an amazing time out last night. I was falling for Alex. I missed her a lot even though we live in the same building… I decided to call her so I could hear her voice and ask her to hangout later. I needed to see my baby. We also needed to talk about our relationship. I also needed her in my arms. I called her and heard her adorable voice. It brought an instant smile to my face. I loved how caring she was. She made sure I didn’t want to hangout with the guys. She wasn’t one of those clingy girls.
Alexandra’s Point of View
After I finished talking to Tyler I was so excited. I loved spending time with him. But he was right between everything we were doing we wouldn’t be able to spend much time with each other. I had that look on my face and my friends knew it. I’m sure Cherokee told Cassy everything. I walked in the living room and sat next to Cherokee. Cherokee looked at me and raised an eyebrow. I couldn’t help it that look always made me spill.
Cherokee: So who was that? Wait don’t answer that was it someone’s boyfriend?
I blushed and said a simple “yes”.
Cassy: Aw… someone’s blushing
Me: Stop it it’s only been a couple days.
Cherokee: But you guys are so cute together and he gave you that beautiful necklace.
Cassy: Already giving you jewelry huh?
Cherokee: Yeah he likes her so much more than she thinks.
While they were talking I went to my room to grab the necklace. I walked back to the living room and showed Cassy the necklace.
Cassy: Wow that’s beautiful.
Cherokee: I know right she wears it all the time.
We continued to talk about Tyler but it was getting late and Cherokee and I had plans to go to the bruins pro shop to get her a Marchand jersey. We said are goodbyes and got ready to leave. When we got to the shop it was no problem getting Cherokee a Marchand jersey. I got a pair of bruins sweatpants and socks. I love my sweatpants. After shopping I was excited for the home opener Wednesday. When we got back I started to get ready to see Tyler. I had an hour to get ready. I put on my new bruin sweatpants and socks. I had my hair up in a messy bun and had a soccer sweatshirt on. I then sat in front of the DVD case and picked out 3 movies. I picked Hoosiers, Twilight and The Little Mermaid to be funny. I had some time left over so I sat on the couch and looked through my phone. Time seemed to move slowly. Eventually it was time to go. I said “goodbye” to Cherokee and grabbed my keys and phone and left. With no time I finally got to Tyler’s apartment. Before I could even knock on the door I felt someone’s arms around me. I turned around to see Tyler. He had this big smile on his face. That made me smile. He picked me up and brought me in to the apartment.
Tyler: “I’ve been waiting all day to see you.”
Me: “I missed you too Tyler.”
It didn’t take us long to kiss.
Tyler: “ So what movies did you bring?”
Me: “Ok I brought Hoosiers, Twilight and The Little Mermaid.”
I said “The Little Mermaid” with a smile because I was excited to see his reaction to that. He just smiled and said “really”. I smiled and whined “yes it’s a disney movie and I love disney movies.”
Tyler: “I never said I didn’t like disney movies.”
Me: “Good or I would have to break up with you.”
Tyler raised an eyebrow.
Me: “I’m just kidding Tyler.”
Tyler: “I knew you were.”
Me: “I only have one deal breaker.”
Tyler: “Oh what would that be?”
Me: “If you don’t like hockey I won’t date you.”
Tyler: “Well I obviously pass that test.”
Me: “Yes you do.”
Tyler then got all serious and sat me in his lap.
Tyler: “I have been meaning to talk to you about something.”
Me: “Ok what is it?”
Tyler: “How do you feel about people knowing about us? I really like you and I don’t want to keep us secret anymore.”
Me: “Oh I have been meaning to talk to you about that too. I almost told my parents on accident when I made the soccer team.”
Tyler: “So are you ok with telling people?”
Me: “I am if you are.”
Tyler: “Ok I know I am ready to. I just want you to know people might say stuff about you.”
Me: “Yeah I know I see how girls act when their celebrity crush has a boyfriend.”
Tyler: “Ok I just thought I would warn you.”
Me: “ Thanks for looking out for me.”
Tyler: “I have to you’re my girlfriend.”
Then he kissed my nose. I loved hearing him calling me his girlfriend..
Tyler: “So I was thinking we could watch The Little Mermaid?”
My face light up.
Me: “Really?”
Tyler: “Yeah.”
I handed him the DVD and he went to put the DVD in. Once he put the DVD in he came back and sat next to me. I put my head on his chest and he pulled me closer to him. He kissed the top of my head. I told him how I didn’t watch the whole movie till I was 14. He said “really” and raised and eyebrow. I said “yeah really.” He just laughed at me. “It’s not funny” I whined.
Tyler: “I’m sorry baby.”
Then he kissed my lips. This started a make out session. Let’s just say we didn’t watch must of the movie. When the movie finished it was 8. He then asked if I was hungry. I said “yes”. He said “I’ll be right back.” He came back with a tub of mint chocolate chip ice cream. I was definitely ready to eat. Tyler sat down next to me and sat me on his lap. Then set the tub of ice cream on my lap.
Me: “Wow this is cold !!”
Tyler: “Well it is ice cream. But don’t worry I will warm you up.”
He said that with his right eyebrow raised. He then scooped up some ice cream and fed it to me. I did the same thing and we did that till we couldn’t eat anymore. Which for a soccer and hockey player is a lot. After that we sat and talked. We could talk about anything. Then Tyler took out his phone and started taking pictures of us. You name the face or pose we did it. There had to be like 50 pictures of us together. I also had my phone and was taking pictures. We also had pictures of us touching noses, me kissing his cheek and us kissing. After we were done with all the pictures we looked through them. Then when we got to the one of us kissing Tyler said “This is going to be my profile pic on twitter.”
Me: What about … oh duh we can tell people now.
Tyler: Yeah we can !!
Then we had a hot make out session. His lips tasted like the ice cream. His lips are so soft. I could kiss him all day. When we had to pull away to catch are breath he picked me up and brought me to his room. I really liked Tyler but wasn’t ready to sleep with him. He was a hockey player and like Travis told me they just want someone easy. I will keep those words in mind forever. Travis was a hockey player so he knew how they operated. Travis would never do that to anyone. He is so sweet. That’s what made me like him more than a best guy friend in 8th grade. When he asked me out freshmen year I had no hesitation to say yes. Everyone thought we would be high school sweet hearts. I thought the same thing. Then senior year came and colleges got in the way. Travis was accepted into Michigan on a hockey scholarship and I was excepted into Boston University. After that we realized we weren’t long distance relationship people. We said we would remain best friends and stay in touch. Of course I was upset but it was what, what was best for us. I also followed the philosophy if you love something let it go and if it comes back to you it’s yours. Who knows where I’ll be in 10 years ? Maybe even 5? I could be with Tyler I might be with Travis or someone completely new.
Tyler’s point of view.
I was so excited to see my baby. I really needed to talk to her. We both agreed that we could tell people about us. After we put in The Little Mermaid. We didn’t really watch much of it because we were kissing. I couldn’t help it I loved to kiss her. I could kiss her all day. When the movie finished we ate ice cream. We ate like ¾ of the tub. But we’re athletes so we can eat and eat and eat. Then I took my phone out and we started to take pictures. We took so many pictures but it was fun. After we were done we looked through them. I loved the one of us sharing a kiss. We were both smiling into the kiss. I told her I was going to change that to my profile picture for twitter. She got that nervous look on her face and then she realized we talked about that earlier. Then we had a make out session and when I ran out of breath I carried her to my room. I really like Alex but I wasn’t going to pressure her into anything. I know that the media has made it look like I sleep with another girl everyday but I don’t.
Alexandra’s point of view
I was laying on his bed and he was on top of me. We were kissing but I had the feeling he wanted to go farther so I pulled away and said “I’m not ready. I’m sorry.”
Tyler: “It’s ok I understand.”
He set me in his lap.
Tyler: “I don’t want to pressure you into anything.”
Me: “Thanks for understanding your the best.”
Tyler: “Thanks and I know.”
When he said that I hit him in the arm playfully. Than he laid me down and started tickling me. I am very ticklish. I said “Don’t blame me for any injuries you may get.” I didn’t think he could understand what I was saying. He just laughed at me. Eventually he stopped. I got a chance to catch my breath and sat up. Then my phone went off. I forgot that I set an alarm so I knew when I had to leave. I set the alarm for like 9:45. I did have to get up at 6 tomorrow. I told Tyler I should get going.
Tyler: “I don’t want you to go.”
Me: “I don’t want to either but I have to I have a training session at 7 tomorrow morning and I’m sure you have practice and you need your sleep.”
Tyler: “Yeah your probably right. Let me walk you out.”
We walked to the door and said are goodbyes.
Tyler: “Text me after your training session I will answer but I have practice.”
Me: “Ok I will. I promise.”
Tyler: “You better. Bye.”
Me: “Bye.”
We hugged and kissed goodbye. I really didn’t want to leave him but I had soccer. We weren’t going to a lot of each other and that worried me.
Tyler’s Point of View.
I was tickling Alex after she hit me in the arm. She was so cute when she was laughing so hard. She was like a baby. I eventually stopped and let her catch her breath. Once she caught her breath her phone buzzed. It was am alarm. I thought it was adorable how she had to set an alarm to make sure she left on time. I didn’t want her to leave and she didn’t either. But she managed to. I loved her determination. I could definitely use a little more determination in my game. Alex was such an inspiration. It was definitely going to be hard to leave her for road games but she had good friends to keep her company and so did I. After she left I took off my shirt and plopped into bed dreaming of my girl.

It took me everything I had to leave him. I was really excited for practice tomorrow. I was ready to get this season going. I got home and plopped into bed dreaming of my sweet guy.
