Alexandra's Point of View
I woke up needing a coffee. I don't know why I just didn't sleep well last night and I couldn't sleep now because the sun was shining through out my room. I walked in the kitchen and saw it was only 7 and the coffee wasn't made yet. I made the coffee and decided to go out on the terrace. I stepped out and looked at the view, it was breathtaking. I decided to lay down in the hammock till the coffee was ready. While I was out there I got lost in my thought and I guess I fell asleep in the process.
Tyler's Point of View
Last night after Alex and I said are goodbyes I went back to my apartment. On the way to my room I saw that Brad's room was open. I guess he was still at Alex's apartment with Cherokee. I was hoping he didn't interrupt Alex sleeping. I know that she is fine I just don't like to see her injured and sick. I just feel protective of her. I went to sleep dreaming of Alex. I woke up the next morning at 9. I guess I was really tired. I got up and took a shower. I was going to take Alex out to breakfast so she would be happy and get out of the house. When I was ready to go I grabbed my stuff and headed to Alex's apartment. I took the elevator and knocked on the door when no one answered I assume they were all still sleeping so I let myself in. I went to Alex's room to see if she was there but she wasn't and there wasn't anyone in the bathroom. "Where could she be?" I thought to myself. I went back out to the living room and found my answer. I saw a figure lying in the hammock on the terrace. I hoped she didn't sleep out there all night. I walked out there and picked her up in my arms and brought her to the couch. When I sat her down she started stirring.
Alex: "Tyler?.."
Me: "I'm right here baby."
Alex: "What am I doing in here?"
Me: "I found you out on the terrace sleeping in the hammock and carried you in."
Alex: "Oh I must have fell asleep out there."
Me: "You didn't sleep out there all night did you?"
Alex: "Oh no I woke up early this morning and couldn't sleep and went out on the terrace to kill some time while I was waiting for my coffee."
Me: "Why didn't you call me if you couldn't sleep?"
Alex: "I wasn't going to call you and ruin your sleep because I couldn't sleep."
Me: "It wouldn't have been a problem. Why couldn't you sleep? Were Brad and Cherokee keeping you awake? Because you could have just came to my apartment to sleep.
Alex: "No they weren't keeping me awake I didn't even realize they were here last night. I have no idea why I couldn't sleep."
Me: "Are you sure there isn't a reason why you couldn't sleep?
Alex: "Well I guess I am a creature of habit. Maybe I couldn't sleep because you weren't by my side."
Me: "If you wanted me to stay last night why didn't you ask?"
Alex: "Because I didn't want to sound like one of those clingy girls."
Me: "You are far from that. Do you want to go get breakfast?"
Alex: "Your going to let me go outside?"
Me: "Yes, I can't stand to see you sad."
Alex: "Yay I'll be right out."
Alexandra's Point of view
After Tyler told me he was going to take me to go get breakfast I was so happy. I ran to my room and changed into my Seguin Bruins sweatshirt and skinny jeans and a pair of pastries. I put my hair in a ponytail to the side. I then ran into Tyler's arms. He then pulled me in closer and kissed me. I loved his kisses.
Tyler: "You ready to go?"
Me: "Yes I am hungry."
We walked out the door hand in hand and went out of the building and walked the streets of Boston. it was actually pretty quiet. We eventually found a cute little café in the North End. It was a beautiful day so we decided to sit outside.
Me: "We should have brought Marshall with us."
Tyler: "We could have brought Claude. Remember you have a dog as well."
Me: "Claude wouldn't be able to handle it, the café would be in shambles. I was actually thinking about sending him back when my parents come in 3 days. It is going to be a tough decision to send him home but I am super busy and feel like I'm not giving him enough love and affection and I know my parents will do that and they hate having an empty nest."
Tyler: "I understand I send Marshall home when I go on long road trips. So I get to meet your amazing parents in 3 days and you didn't warn me."
Me: "Sorry I forgot but my Mom reminded me when I was on the phone with her last night."
Tyler: "It's fine ,so are you excited to see them?
Me: "Yes I have never been away from home this long."
Tyler: "I understand I felt the same way went I went away to juniors."
Me: "Yeah I can't imagine that leaving to go to the United States at 16 or 17 to go live with complete strangers."
Tyler: "That was huge change and it was rough at times. No matter what age you are it is hard to be away from your family for a period of time."
Me: "I might go back home for a week or so during Winter break but I'm not sure."
Tyler: "Your going to leave me for a whole week"
He said that with the cutest pouty face ever.
Me: "I'm sure you will be fine, you will be busy with hockey."
Tyler: "Yeah I guess."
After we had an amazing breakfast we went for a walk around the city and before I knew it Tyler and I were outside of TD Garden.
Me: "What are we doing here?"
Tyler: "Alex relax coach needed to talk to me, believe me the guys will love you and I'll be right next to you."
Me: "Ok, you promise?"
Tyler: "Yes, I promise."
We walked into TD Garden and there was no one there. I let out a huge sigh. We walked toward Claude Julien's office.
Me: "I'll let you talk. I'll just walk around, text me when your done."
Tyler: "Are you sure?"
Me: "Yeah I'll be fine."
Tyler: "Ok see you in a few."
Me: "Ok."
I started walking, did I know where I was going? No. I was really just trying to find my way out to the rink . But somehow I found myself near the visitor locker room. I was turning around when I ran into something or someone hard. I looked up and It appeared to be a person who I assumed was a Red Wing.
"Hi I'm Brendan Smith."
Me: "Hi I'm Alex Samson"
Brendan: "What brings you this way?"
Me: "I was actually trying to get to the rink maybe someday I will have this arena memorized."
Brendan: "You know they all say that right."
Me: "Really? I didn't know that."
Brendan: "You won't believe how many times this happens."
Me: "Really?"
Brendan: "Nah I'm just kidding."
Me: "Haha I was gonna say."
Brendan: "So you going to the game later?"
Me: "I wish but my doctor said I'm not allowed to because the loud noises ."
Brendan: "Oh concussion?"
Me: "No actually it's called a tension headache. I don't think it is an actual thing "
Brendan: "Haha well you have to trust your doctors."
Me: "Yeah I guess so."
We kept talking an actually exchanged numbers. Brendan was really sweet I think we would be great friends.
Tyler's Point of View
I walked into coaches office nervous. He was sitting in his chair looking over some paperwork.
Me: "Hey Coach."
Coach: "Oh hey Tyler your here please sit."
I sat down and took a breath.
Coach: "How is that girlfriend of yours?"
Me: "She Is good, she is actually here walking around. She just can't be around for loud noises."
Coach: "Oh really, can I speak with her?"
Me: "As long as you don't stress her out? She has been doing pretty well and I don't want her to feel sick. "
Coach: "I promise it is actually a good thing,"
Me: "Ok one second."
I went to go find Alex I knew she couldn't be too far away she didn't know her way around the arena. That and I saw what way she went. She was heading towards the rink. I went out to where the rink was but there was no one to be found. I turned around and went back my towards coaches office and the locker room but she wasn't there. The last place she could be is near the visitors locker room but why would she be down there? I walked that way and heard a familiar laugh.
I walked up to her and put my arms around her.
Alex: "Oh hey babe you done already?"
Me: "I am but you aren't."
Alex: "What do you mean?"
Me: "Coach wants to talk to you and don't ask me about what cause I don't know."
Alex: "Ok I'm sorry Brendan I got to go. Good luck tonight. "
Brendan: "Thanks get well soon."
Then I took her to coaches office.
Alexandra's Point of View
Brendan and I were talking when I felt a set of familliar arms around me, it was Tyler.
Me: "Oh hey babe you done already?"
Tyler: "I am but you aren't."
Me: "What do you mean?"
Tyler: "Coach wants to talk to you and don't ask me about what cause I don't know"
I said my good luck and goodbye to Brendan and followed Tyler to Mr. Julien's office.
Me: "I feel like I'm going to the principals office."
Tyler: "Haha yeah I have been there a couple times but I never expected to see you there."
Me: "So you don't think I have a bad side?"
Tyler: "No but that's one of your best qualities."
Me: "Well I did get sent to the prinicpals office once."
Tyler: "Oh really?"
Me: "Yeah in second grade."
Tyler: "Oh what did you do steal someones crayons?"
Me: "No I colored a cracker and a girl tried to feed it to another girl."
Tyler: "Ooh better then I thought. Ok we are here, good luck. If you need me I will be right here ok".
Me: "Ok see you in a few."
I walked in and Mr. Julien looked up at me.
Mr. Julien: "Hello Miss. Samson please take a seat will you?"
I took a seat.
Mr. Julien: "You know you can breathe right? You're not in any trouble."
Me: "Haha thank gosh. So then why am I here?"
Mr. Julien: "I think I have an amazing opportunity for you."
Me: "What is it?"
Mr. Julien: "Well I heard that you were studying in the sports medicine field and it just so happens one of our assistant trainers is going to be out for a while, so I thought I would offer you the spot. I called your school and they say you are at the top of your class and that they would give you credit for at least the semester. We don't know when the assistant will be back but if you want the spot it's yours.
Me: "Oh my gosh I would love it !! Would I still be able to play soccer though?"
Mr. Julien: "Yes you still will be able to play."
Me: "Thank you so much Mr. Julien."
Mr. Julien: "Please call me Claude."
Me: "Ok thank you so much for this opportunity."
Claude: "You start on Monday."
I shook his hand and walked out with a huge smile and see Tyler standing there.
Tyler: "Hey baby, you ok?"
Me: "Yeah never better."
Tyler: "What happened?"
Me: "Your looking at a new assistant trainer for now."
Tyler: "Really that's amazing I'm so proud of you."
Me: "Thanks I never saw it coming."
Tyler: "You worked hard you deserve it. You don't start tonight do you?"
Me: "I wish, but no I start Monday."
Tyler: "It wouldn't suprise me if you tried working tonight."
Me: "I was in to much shock to ask."
We then headed out of the arena and walked hand in hand to our apartment complex. We decided on going to Tyler's apartment because he had the bigger TV. We had a couple of hours till the game started so we decided to just hangout. When it got close to gametime I headed back to my apartment to change into something more comfortable. I opted for my bruins pajama pants and my Marchand player shirt. Believe it or not i didn't have a Seguin one. Cherokee was gone she went to the game, I'm not going to lie I was jealous. I really wanted to go and I felt bad Tyler had to stay here and watch me when he should be playing. I had a lot riding on this game if the Bruins lost I would have had a huge problem when I went into work Monday. When I calmed myself down I walked back to Tyler's apartment. I didn't bother knocking cause he knew I was coming back. When I walked through the door I didn't see Tyler on the couch. I walked to the kitchen and saw him by the microwave. I quietly walked up behind him and put my arms around him. He turned around and smiled and gave me a kiss on the top of my head.
Tyler: "Oh there you are. I thought you got lost."
Me: "Haha I have been living here for a at least a month and a half now. I think I know how to get to my apartment."
Tyler: "I would hope."
Me: "ooh it's almost game time."
Tyler: "Wow someone's excited."
Me: "Yeah I have no clue why cause your not playing but I am."
Tyler: "I'll meet you in the living room."
Me: "kk !!"
I walked out to the living room and got comfortable. Tyler walked out minutes later with what looked like a bowl of popcorn and two bottles of water and napkin.
Me: "Here let me help."
I grabbed the water and napkins from him.
Tyler: "Thanks."
Me: "No problem."
Tyler and I sat down and started eating popcorn that had snowcaps in them.
Me: "Omg this is so good."
Tyler: "Yeah I know right."
Tyler was giving me this weird look.
Me: "What?"
Tyler: "Hahaha you have chocolate like all over your face."
Me: "It's not funny."
I gave him my award winning pouty face.
Tyler: "Aw.. come here."
He grabbed a napkin and started rubbing off the chocolate.
Tyler: "There you go."
Me: "Thank you."
The puck was dropped and the game started. I cuddle into Tyler and we watched the game. The boys were playing well. They scored 9:11 into the game on a Torey Krug slapshot with the assists going to Lucic and Krejci. Tyler was super happy and so was I. But then 7:38 later Henrik Zetterberg scored on a wrist shot with assists from Abdelkadar and Datsyuk. Tyler was grumbling but I told him to relax the boys had it. He calmed down. Nothing happened the rest of the period and the boys were playing well.
Tyler: "I'll be right back do you need anything?"
Me: "No, I'm good thank you though."
While he left I grabbed the remote and changed the channel to the Penguins game. I realize as a Bruins fans you aren't suppose to like Sidney Crosby but I did. I admired his work ethic and passion for the game. The Penguins were playing the Sabres and halfway through the first period were leading 1-0 with a goal by Sidney Crosby and the assists going to Dupuis and Niskanen. Tyler walked back into the room moments later.
Tyler: "Who scored?"
Me: "Crosby."
Tyler: "Why do I even bother asking?"
Me: "I don't know. haha."
Then minutes later Kobasew scored on a tip in with the assists going to Sutter and Niskanen.I had to hold in my excitement for the Penguins winning which is hard and Tyler caught on.
Tyler: "You realize you can't be a Pens fan right? It's the enemy
Me: "Yes I know that Tyler."
Tyler: "Then why are you watching this game then?"
Me: "It was either this or the Blackhawks and the day I watch that is when pigs fly."
Tyler: "Not a Toews fan I see."
Me: "Nope he always has this look on his face like he doesn't want to be there and don't get me started on Patty Kane he is just ugh.."
Tyler: "Haha they aren't that bad."
Me: "I'll take you word on that."
I then flipped the channel back to the bruins game just in time to see Marchy score his first goal of the season off a wrist shot with an assist going to Boychuck.
Me: "I know a very happy girlfriend in that arena right now. I can't imagine her face right now, I wish I was there."
Tyler: "Haha yeah I can imagine."
I took out my phone and texted Cherokee.
Me: "CONGRATULATIONS !! You boyfriend flippin scored a goal. Wish I was there to celebrate with you."
Cherokee: "YEAH I'm so excited for him,wish you were here too. But I'm sure you celebrated with Tyler when he scored."
Me: "Haha yeah not really I can't jump up and scream with him like a girl."
Cherokee: "I would hope not you will have many more opportunities to celebrate with me."
Me: "Yeah I have to tell you something when you get home."
Cherokee: "Ok?"
Me: "It's not anything bad I promise."
Cherokee: "Ok I will see you at home."
I put my phone down and returned my attention to the bruins game it was now 3-1.
Me: "Hey when did that happen?"
Tyler: "It happened while you were telling Cherokee how you couldn't celebrate with me."
Me: "Oh.. I didn't mean it like that.
Tyler: "Haha don't sweat it baby I'm just kidding but you should have saw your face."
Me: "Don't do that ! I thought you were really mad at me."
Tyler: "Why would I be mad over you telling Cherokee that I couldn't jump up and down and scream like a girl?"
Me: "I don't know that would be really stupid though. So, who scored?"
Tyler: "Caron."
Me: "Omg really I'm so happy for him! He really deserves it. He worked so hard to come up with the Bruins."
Tyler: "Yeah I love how excited you get over little things like that."
Me: "You haven't seen me celebrate your own goal yet."
Tyler: "Haha oh boy."
While the game was at intermission we went back to watching the Penguins. No one scored and then we flipped it back to the Bruins game where Chara scored.
Me: "Yay you guys won!! Oh and by the way this is the only game you will be missing this season because of me."
Tyler: "Haha I thought we were past this babe. I told you it wasn't a big deal and plus I had a good time tonight. I loved seeing you coach them as if they can hear you."
Me: "I'd like to think they can and who am I to say I have never played hockey in my life."
Tyler: "You would never know you are pretty knowledgeable some of the things you are saying actually makes sense. How do you know all of this stuff?"
Me: "I always said if I was a guy I would have wanted to play hockey."
Tyler: "You know girls can play hockey to my sisters do."
Me: "Yeah I know but my dad wouldn't let me play because he didn't want me to get hurt and you haven't know me long enough to see how clumsy I am. Since I couldn't play hockey I guess I decided to learn everything I could about the game."
Tyler: "I hope you don't mind I bring up some of your ideas up in the locker room to the guys."
Me: "No go ahead."
We continued talking about hockey for a while and it was getting late and I'm sure Cherokee rushed home to hear the news.
Me: "I better get going Cherokee's probably rushed home so I could tell her the news I had for her."
Tyler: " Oh are you going to tell her about the Bruins job?"
Me: "yeah."
Tyler: "Ok so I'll talk to you later."
Me: "Ok sounds good."
He walked me to the door where we shared a kiss and then I walked back to my apartment. When I got to the apartment I opened the door and there was Cherokee on the couch.
Me: "Hey what did you do sprint here?"
Cherokee: "Maybe."
Me: "Did you have fun at the game?"
Cherokee: "Yeah I now know how it feels to be a girlfriend of a pro- hockey player. Gosh it is nerve racking but when they score a goal and you see how happy they are it's worth it. So what's your news?"
Me: "Oh yeah so Tyler took me to breakfast this morning and got a call from his coach to go to the garden so we went there and while he was talking to coach I wandered around the arena and tried to find the rink but somehow found my way to the visitors locker room and ran into this red wing his name was Brendan Smith. Any way we were talking and then Tyler came and found me and told me I had to talk to coach. At first I was really nervous but It turned out to be a great meeting and you are now looking at an assistant trainer."
Cherokee: "Omg really??!!"
Me: "Yeah I start Monday and I can still play soccer."
Cherokee: "Omg I'm so happy for you tomorrow you and I are going out for girls night."
Me: "Ok sounds good we just won't tell Tyler that we are going out. He is extremely overprotective and I am fine."
Cherokee: "Yeah I'll have Brad come up with something."
Me: "I wish I was at the game. Did you make any friends?"
Cherokee: "Yeah I wish you were there too and I did make a friend her name's Stephanie."
Me: "Oh yeah isn't that the one we met the other day."
Cherokee: "Yeah she is Patrice's girlfriend."
Me: "Why not be friends our boyfriends are all on the same line?"
Cherokee: "Haha yeah she is super excited to talk to you. She kind of reminds me of you a little bit. I'm sorry but I am super tired. I'm going to go to bed."
Me: "Yeah I'm pretty tired to we will talk more tomorrow."
Cherokee: "Yeah sounds good, night."
Me: "Night."
I walked to bed and turned on the TV. They were talking about Tyler on TV but I changed the channel before I could hear anything, I would look tomorrow. I wasn't going to let anything ruin my day. I fell asleep with a huge smile on my face and was really excited to start work on Monday and go back to soccer. Hopefully it would come quickly.
