*On The Phone with Gina*

G=Gina J=Jonny
G: "Hey Jonny I need you to fly out to Buffalo." she said crying
J: Woah Gina calm down, What's wrong?
G: It's Patrick.......
J: What's wrong? Is he ok?
G: He got hit.....by a drunk driver.
J: Can I bring Christian with or is that not a good idea? Also who was with him?
G: I don't think that'd be a good idea, but it is his brother so sure. And Kev and a few friends. Pat got the worst of it, the rest of them are fine
J: Ok I'm heading to the airport now I'll see you tonight.

"What was that?" Christian asked
Jon looked at him, "I'll tell you when we get to Buffalo."
"No. I'm not going until you tell me. What happened?" Christian asked again slightly pissed
"Christian it's better that you don't know. Trust me." Jon said, "Now lets go, we have a flight to catch."

Christian followed him. The guys had texted Jonny asking what happened and after Christian fell asleep he was able to respond. All the guys were worried and decided to also take the next available flight to Buffalo. When word got to Coach Q, the first person he called was Gina to see what condition he was in. When Gina said he had a grade 3 concussion, broken ribs, punctured lung, torn shoulder muscle, bruises and cuts, Coach Q knew he needed to go see him and get a solution figured out as soon as he saw what condition Kane was in. Everyone had known by the time Jon and Christian got to Buffalo, well everyone with the exception of Christian. His friends from Georgia had been texting him but his phone was dead.

*With Jon*

Patricks sisters came to pick Christian and myself up. I texted them to not say anything until we got to the house. They agreed. It was about a half hour drive to the house and everyone was quiet in the car which scared Christian. When they finally pulled up, Christian saw a bunch of reporters and Patricks friends and family at the house.

"Guys what's going on?" Christian asked once they got into the house
Everyone looked at each other, then Kevin stood up, "Hey bud, I know you're going to get mad so just sit down first."
"Just tell me." Christian said pissed
Kevin sighed, "Um.... Your brother, a few friends and I went to a bar last night. Everyone was drinking except your brother.... He was our DD... And... Umm.... On our way home... Some drunk driver t-boned our car.... Everyone who's here is fine... Your brother... Pat got the worst of it.... I'm so sorry Christian.."

Christians' face went white, he felt dizzy and like he couldn't breathe. He got up and walked out the door and slammed it behind him.

"Christian! Christian come back!" Kevin, Gina, Jon, and Jess yelled
"Maybe he just needs space." Jackie suggested

*Christians' POV*

I flew to Buffalo without knowing what was happening. When we pulled up to the house the front yard was covered with reporters. I thought it was another stupid stunt my brother pulled until I walked into the house and looked at everyone. My cousin Kevin told me what happened and I couldn't breathe. I didn't feel good and didn't want to be by anyone so I ran off. I ran for what felt like 2 miles straight. I ended up at a bridge that we all used to hangout at. Erica, Jessica, and Jackie showed me this place after the accident with my parents.... I need my brother. I can't live without him. I sat at the bridge for 5 hours and didn't want to leave, so I walked further away from the house. I knew I should probably go home but I couldn't look a my cousin, not without hating him. I just spent all day outside until it started getting dark around 9 then slowly walked home.

*Kanes' House*

"Have any of you talked to Christian?" Gina asked
Jon held up his phone, "Nope. I have this."
"I'm going to go look for him. Can one of you put T to sleep?" Gina asked
Kevin and Jon stepped up, "We'll go look for him. Go to the hospital and be with Pat."
Gina nodded her head and left with T and Pats sisters.

*Jon and Kev*

"Where do you think he is?" Jon asked driving around
"I have no idea." Kevin said, "I shouldn't have said anything to him. He's going to hate me."
"He was going to find out either way. I'd rather hear it from family than media people. Trust me he's just in shock." Jon said
"Hey wait. That's him. Pull over." Kevin said getting out of the car, "I'll be right back."
"Christian! Slow down" Kevin said as he walked up to him
Christian pulled his arm away from him, "What?"
"Hey come on lets get you some food and home." Kevin suggested
"I'm not going anywhere with you. Just leave me alone." Christian said walking faster
Kevin kept up with him and grabbed his arm, "Look. You need something to eat. You've been gone for 6 hours and your levels are probably low. You can go see Pat if you want."
"That's what an insulin pump is for." Christian said as he saw the old moto track he used to go to all the time and walked over there
"Kevin stay here I'm going to go talk to him." Jon said and followed Christian
"Hey bub" Jon said sitting next to him
Christian looked at him, "Hey..."
"You used to ride here?" Jon asked
"Yeah. Pat and I used to hangout here when he wasn't with our sisters or playing hockey." Christian said
"You know he'll be ok right? He's a strong guy just like you." Jon said
Christian started to tear up, "And what if he isn't? Then I lose my brother. I lost my parents cause a drunk driver, and now I'm going to lose my brother."
"I won't let you lose him. He'll fight harder than he has ever had to but he'll pull through. Just like you did. We have to stay strong for him though. Ok?" Jon said standing up holding out his hand
Christian looked at him and grabbed his hand, "Ok. Can we go home?"
Jon nodded his head and drove them back.
