Becoming Stronger together

*At Jons' and Kanes'*

"So why'd you guys go to the doctor?" Seabs asked
"I took him to the UC and had Q drug test him. He had 1 MG of Rohypnol, a gram of weed in his system, 2 tabs of LSD and 3 tabs of Ecstasy. Those mixed with whatever alcohol he was given last night could've killed him. He is really lucky he isn't dead." Jon said sitting down.
"He had all those! Are you fucking kidding me?" Pat yelled, "I think I should just send him back to Jackie and have someone else take him. I clearly can't take care of him."
"Pat the kid isn't an object that you can send back and forth between people." Bickell said
"Plus, I think him doing all that last night has to do with Brielle." Jon said
"Oh yeah. Well we could have Jackie just watch him, then say that I can't take him back because I have Tristan that I need to take care of and I can't handle them both." Pat said
"You're really thinking about sending him away like it's no big deal?" Shaw asked, "He can't keep moving, it'll only make it harder for him."
"Just till the season is over." Pat said

Christian walked out into the family room where they were all sitting. He had his backpack on full of all his stuff. He looked at Patrick and said, "You obviously don't want me here anymore, so I'm going back to Georgia. I'll move in with a friend, or Brielle's family. I'm sorry that I screwed up your life and made it hard for you to take care of your kid, but I won't be here anymore so don't worry about it. Thanks for everything you guys did for me." He began to walk out the door.
They all looked at each other not knowing what to do, but Bollig got up and went to grab Christian, "Little man are you really going?" He asked
"Y'all don't want me here. So why am I going to be unhappy and make you guys unhappy?" Christian asked
"Kaner tell Christian you want him here." Bollig said
Patrick looked at him, "I want you here, but I don't want you being annoying, doing drugs and being an ass hole all the time."
Christian looked at his brother and looked like he was going to cry, "Sorry I'm annoying and an ass hole. Bye guys." Christian walked out and went to the elevator.
"Patrick you're seriously just letting him leave! Are you kidding me?" Jon yelled, "What happened to being there for him? What happened to not being a shitty brother, and now you're just letting him go back to Georgia because YOU can't deal with him! I can't believe you right now!"
"Fuck off Jon! You don't know what it's like to deal with a brother that all he does is drink and do drugs." Patrick said
Jon looked at him, "I dealt with you didn't I?" Jon got up and left to go get Christian.

*Jons' POV*

I couldn't believe that Pat just let his brother leave. I was so pissed off at him for doing that. Honestly he said he wanted to become a better brother, yet he just let Christian walk out of our house with all his stuff. I got up and went to go look for Christian, when I got down to the main lobby of the Trump Tower I looked around and couldn't find Christian, then I went outside and still couldn't find him.
I tried calling him, but he didn't answer. Instead, I drove off to the airport and looked for the soonest flight to Georgia. They wouldn't let me get to the gate unless I bought a ticket, so I pulled out my wallet, paid for a ticket, and ran down to the gate. I found Christian sitting there, so I walked next to him and sat down.

*End of POV*

"Christian I need you to come home." Jon said to him
"I am going home, to Georgia. My brother hates me, and I refuse to talk to, or see him every again. I don't want to see any of you guys either." Christian said not looking up.
"Your brother didn't mean it Christian. He just has a lot going on right now." Jon said
"He has a lot going on? Bull shit. I have so much more going on then he does." Christian said
"Would you like to talk about it?" Jon asked
Christian began to speak, "I work my ass off keeping all A's and if I get 1 B Patrick bitches at me. I stay involved in sports year round to get a college scholarship and not have my brothers money pay for it. Plus, if you don't drink or do drugs now a days, you have no friends, so you get pressured into doing things you don't want to do. I was forced to come here and live with you guys. I talk with all my friends in Georgia all the time and I wish that I could go back and be a normal kid there! Not have to do half real school, half home school. I could play sports and hangout with friends without doing a bunch of dumb stuff. I've been worried sick that Brielle isn't going to be ok because of the car accident. Worst of all, I have to deal with everyone always saying to me, 'Oh you're Patrick Kanes' brother right? Can you get me free tickets?', or 'Hey we should be friends and hangout and go to the Blackhawks games and hangout at their after parties and get girls.' It is so much to deal with and you guys make it so much harder on me!"

Jon didn't realize that Christian was this stressed out all the time. He felt really bad for taking him to the UC only to get yelled at by Q, he felt bad about punching him in the face after he got a concussion. He finally understood why Christian was going out and doing stupid stuff, he couldn't believe that them trying to help him was only making it harder on him. Jon looked at Christian and said to him that he would fly to Georgia, get him set up at someones house, then leave him to be happy. Christian was grateful that someone would finally let him be happy again for once in his life.

*With Patrick and the Team*

"Hey have you heard from Tazer?" Sharp asked
"Yeah. He's going to Georgia with Christian then getting him set up at someones house, then he's getting the next flight back here." Pat said
Shaw walked over to him holding Tristan, "Do you think he'll ever come back?" Shaw asked
"Yeah. He just needs to be with his girlfriend right now." Pat said
Sharp came up behind him and had a video set up on his phone sent from Jon, "Watch this. That'll change what you just said."

Patrick listened/watched the video. He had the same reaction as Jon. He couldn't believe what he heard Christian saying, he wished that he wouldn't have been so hard on him all the time now. Patrick got up and went to the kitchen phone and called Jackie.

*On the Phone with Jackie*

J: Hey Patty how are you doing?
P: Not to good. How about yourself?
J:Whats wrong?
P: Christian got into some bad habits at school. He and I got in a fight and he left, he is on the plane now with Jon heading back to Georgia. Can you watch him?
J: Are you serious Patrick?
P: Yeah.
J: I'll be at the airport in 3 hours. He needs to move back with you, I can't watch him. Plus, I don't think he should be here.
P: Why shouldn't he be there? Is it because Brielle? He knows she got in a car accident, that's one of the main reasons he's going back.
J: He knows she passed away this afternoon?
P: What!?!? He doesn't know that! He's going to be devestated when he hears that.
J: He'll want to be at her funeral service, and burial. I'll keep him here with me for awhile, he needs someone there for him right now.
P: I can fly out there and be there in the morning.
J: I'll talk with him when he gets in, see how he feels about that. Listen I got to go. Bye Patrick.
P: Bye Jackie.

Patrick hung up the phone and walked over to Shaw and held T, "You alright Kaner?" Shaw asked
"My brothers girlfriend died. He is going back to Georgia because he hates me, and he is going to find out that she passed away and be mad at me because I didn't let him go see her sooner." Kane said
Sharp, Bollig, Bickell, and Shaw looked at him, "Patrick you didn't know. I'm sure he'll understand." Bickell said
"I would hate me if I was him." Kane said, "Could one of you watch Tristan for the night? I need to go out for awhile." He asked
Sharp offered to take care of T, and the rest of the guys went with Pat.

*With Jon and Christian*

After a 3 hour flight, they finally landed. Jon started up his phone and looked through his texts.
He saw one from Jackie saying how she would come pick them up. Jon looked over at Christian and walked over to the luggage claim with him, once they got their luggage they saw Jackie waiting for them. Christian ran to her and hugged her.

"Hey buddy. I need to talk with you about something." Jackie said……..
