Love at first sight? Who knew.

I never believed in love at first sight or whatever you call it. Well, not until I met Sam. I was just meeting the Thunderbirds at their annual holiday skate and it happened. He skated over said Hi and something just clicked, just like that. Yeah I know it's stupid, but what can I do? Every time our eyes meet my knees get weak and my heart begins to pound, like a fan on the glass when their team scores.
Anyway, six days after I met the team I went to their game against the Victoria Royals, mainly since it was bobble head night. When I got to my seat I still couldn’t believe my dad had bought me a glass seat ticket. Time seemed to fly when it got to the start of the game. When the Thunderbirds game out I was standing and cheering and banging on the glass as the players passed. Then it happened again. When number 5, Sam Mckechnie, passed me he looked over and our eyes met for a split second, but it seemed longer.
As the game came to an end I looked up at the jumbotron and smiled. The score was 6-3 for the Thunderbirds. When the finally horn blew ending the game all the Thunderbirds in Showare were cheering at the top of their lungs, including me. After the three stars of the game I made my way out of the building, but stopped by the team store and got myself a thunderbirds sweatshirt. When I got out not many people were left so I headed over to my 1969 SS Camaro that was black with white racing stripes. I was headed over when I bumped into someone and dropped my keys. “Oh I’m sorry.” I said bending down to get my keys. I saw a hand grab them so I stood up. When I looked up Sam Mckechnie was standing in front of me handing me my keys.
“Sorry about running into you.” I said as I took my keys from him trying not to be nervous or at least show it. “It’s okay. It happens to everyone.” he said with a smile. I felt myself go a little red. “Good game tonight. You guys did really well.” I said as I twisted a part of my hair. “Thanks. I think I saw you cheering us on.” he said with a little laugh. I laughed, “Yeah I tend to do that especially with glass seats.” A smile came over Sam’s face. “It’s getting late I probably should head home.” I said realizing it was almost 10 PM. “We should hang out sometime.” Sam said confidently, which threw me off guard. “Umm… yeah we should.” I said a little off guard. I took out a sharpie from my pocket and took Sam’s arm and started writing, “Here’s my number.” “Jade. Well that’s a beautiful name.” he said as he studied his arm. I blushed, “Thanks Sam. So talk to you later?” “Yeah, defiantly. Let me walk you to your car.” Sam said as we headed over to my car.
When we got there I saw his jaw drop. “This is yours?” he asked in disbelief. “Yup. Fixed it up myself. Didn’t even run when I got it.” I said as I unlocked it. “Wow.” was all Sam could make out. “Well, I gotta go and by the looks of it so do you.” I said pointing to Sam’s teammates who were watching us. “Uh yeah. Well I’ll text you tomorrow. If that’s alright with you…” Sam said nervously. A rush of confidence came over me and I kissed him on the cheek, “Of course it is.” I looked back and saw the rest of the guys with their jaws dropped. “See ya later.” I said as I winked at Sam and got into my car. I backed out then passed the guys and revved my engine as loud as I could which made my car shake, by that time Sam was with them and they were all shoving him and teasing him about me. Well, who knew I had confidence like that.

Great job so far. Seems interesting, I have 2 brothers in the military so I love stories where the military and hockey collide. I would just maybe think about formatting your story so its easier to read.... break it up a bit
