“Nith place!” Maggie hugged Jason. “Thats friggin awesome!”
“I know!” He said. “I’m so happy! My old high school and my college sent pictures of everyone watching me.” Maggie ran a hand through her hair.
“Oh my god! Stop!” Maggie laughed. “You’re making me feel old!”
“Ha!” Jason replied. “You are not! You’re like twenty five!” Maggie opened her mouth in surprise.
“I’m twenty-three!” She exclaimed. Jason laughed more.
“I mean you totally look like nineteen, tops. I just wanted to give myself a little cushion.” He choked. Maggie rolled her eyes.
“Geeze! I better get started on the botox.”
“Maybe.” Jason said. “But on another note, you’re in the gold medal game!”
“I know.” She sang. “Its our year to get Canada.”
“I hope you do!” Jason replied. “I hope you beat them and I hope the men beat them.”
“Me too!” Maggie smiled.
“Hey, guys!” Patrick said as he walked up to where Jason and Maggie were standing.
“Finally!” Maggie said. “We’ve been waiting for you forever.” Maggie groaned.
“I’m sorry that all my adoring fans wanted to hear what I had to say after my great game.”
“You’re such and idiot.” Maggie smiled as she pushed Patrick’s chest.
“What do you guys want to do tonight?” Patrick asked. “Besides ignore anyone from Canada.”
“Eat.” Maggie said.
“I’m literally starving.” Jason said.
“I’m not really hungry.” Patrick replied.
“Well bye.” Maggie started walking away, but Patrick grabbed her.
“I’m just kidding.” He smiled.
“Thank god!” Maggie groaned.

Maggie laid in bed with Patrick’s arms around her back. She faced him while he was sleeping. Julie slept next to them with earplugs in. She said she was cool with Patrick staying over, and no one in the village really cared what anyone else did.
Maggie slid herself a little closer to Patrick’s chest. He breathed deeply, as his eyes fluttered open. She looked down at his chest. “Sorry.” She whispered. “I didnt want to wake you up.”
“Its okay.” He smiled. “I would want to be closer to me too.” He kissed her forehead.
“You’re an idiot.” She mumbled as he pulled her in closer. She felt his legs entwined with hers. She wished she could freeze time and stay there with him forever. She drifted off to an old memory of her and Patrick looking at a rainbow at the beach. That felt like a lifetime ago.
