Changes

As I walked down the streets of Toronto after school, I found myself standing in front of the ACC, staring at it in amusement holding my hat as snow lightly falls on it. Oh how I wish all this schooling will pay off, and I will be able to walk in there like it is just a normal fun day at work, meeting all the players, talking about the game that they would play that night and all that kind of stuff. I always wanted to work with the Toronto Maple Leafs because I was and still am a huge fan and so is my family. My apartment that I have been currently living at for the past year or two is just a few blocks away. I was really hungry so I decided to go to a restaurant near me and my boyfriend's apartment. Me and Zach have been living together for about a couple of months now. He is studying in Toronto too but not for the same thing as me. We met at a leaf game when I wanted to buy a jersey but when I got to the register I was around 20 bucks short and he covered me. Stupid taxes, eh? I got to the restaurant and I placed my order and stood in the waiting line for the to-go orders. The worker called my name and I grabbed my food and paid her. Me and her went to high school together and we talk every now and then. She recently came over with her boyfriend and we had a mini party well watching the Leafs kick the Predators ass 4 to nothing!
"Thanks Diane see you round!" I said.
"No problem Mack. Good luck on your final day of school and good luck on applying for your new full time job" she said cheerily then gave a huge smile.
Your so sweet honey! Gotta go! Bye." I laughed.
One thing about Diane is that she is always so happy and always smiling. I actually need that luck since I'm applying to be a somewhat interviewer or broadcaster with the leafs next week since tomorrow is my final day of school. As I turned around I saw a familiar guy kissing a blonde as they sat in their booth. I walked past them only to see my boyfriend Zach being the familiar guy! I went up to him and threw my food at him.
"Y-y-y-you idiot!" I screamed
"It's not what it looks like we are just school friends going to dinner, nothing to worry about. Was that really necessary?!" He said shakily.
"Oh so now this is my fault. Whatever I knew I should of left you earlier. Oh and by the way that kiss didn't look just friends to me." I said with tears filling my eyes.
I ran outside only to see that a snowstorm just appeared. Well it's Canada and I was pretty used to it growing up here so it wasn't so bad. I just started walking in a random direction with no plan or idea where I was even going. I just sat on the floor, leaning on a store wall outside watching the car lights pass by. How could of he done this to me?

Notes

So this is the opening chapter to Changes! We've met Mackenzie and her story. Then we have Zach who is cheating on her and is now her ex-boyfriend and Diane her childhood friend. You will meet some new characters in the next chapter and I can guarantee you will want to be introduced to them (hint hint maybe the hockey player of the story hint hint).
