Changes

The rest of the ride home with Mo was dead silence. I had to talk to him. I needed to know how he felt.

"Um Morgan can we please talk." I whispered.

"What is there to talk about? Your getting back together with your ex. Congratulations Mack, you must be so excited." He said with complete sarcasm.

"Okay Mo, I'm sorry I didn't plan for any of that to happen. I can't stand him, that's why I got in the car with you. He did that and I had no idea. I pushed him off didn't you see? He planned this okay, I was clueless!" said with a tear dripping off my cheeks.

"Oh don't come crying to me. Go cry to him, maybe his lips can fix your problems." He grumbled.

"Listen! I don't know what your all upset about? Are you upset I'm living with you and kissing him? I'll move out!" I yelled.

He shook his head, "That's not what I'm upset about smarts." He yelled back.

"Oh yeah then what is it?"I questioned rubbing my forehead.

"I'm upset that this one girl I try to get, just gets taken away from me when I have the freaking advantage of living with her! This is like making a giveaway on a power play." He said smashing his hand on the steering wheel as he turned into the building entrance.

I laughed, "You really think I would go back to that ass, if I had you?" I asked with a smile forming over my face.

"Well you guys have history. Plus I didn't think you even liked me I just thought I was a friend to you." He said shyly.

"Morgan if you knew the feelings I have for-" I cut myself off because after this long day what was I even saying.

"Wait feelings? For me?" He asked looking confused.

I started to stutter words, "I-I-I don't know um may-." Yet again I get cut off but by a kiss from Morgan. "Yes. For you." I smiled at him.

We got back to the apartment and Jake was out. I just told Mo, I was going to clean up my room a bit. Approximately an hour later, I heard talking so I casually walked out to see who had came to the door. It was Jake and Jen. I walked out and froze in the sight of her.

"Morgan here. Here she is. Jen meet Morgan, Morgan meet Jen. You happy?" He introduced her as she walked forward to shake Morgan's hand he held out. "Oh that's Mackenzie by the way."

"We've met." I said in a blank tone.

She nodded looking up at Jake. I went to my room to finish up cleaning. I found this really good movie I bought so I asked if they wanted to put the flick on. They all agreed as we laughed at the rom-com. I was sitting on the single seater while the rest were all sitting together on the bigger couch. When I say together I mean that Jen was getting really close with Rielly. By the time the movie was done she was basically on his lap and leaning her head on his shoulder. It definitely got me upset so right after the movie finished, I hit the sack immediately. Why her out of all girls Jake picks up?

*next day*

School again as usual and same routine as yesterday. The guys had a game tonight so I would have to get a drive from a cab. I decided to go meet up with a friend for dinner instead of getting a cab to drive me back. She picked me up and we went to Real Sports Bar for dinner and to watch the game. Her name is Ashley and we have been best friends ever since grade 1. She lives in the USA now but she's here to visit her family for a few weeks. We arrived at the bar and ordered our meals.

"So how have you been? I've been so busy with work! Oh and I have some news, Jimmy proposed to me!" She said all at once.

"Oh my gosh! That's great news congrats honey! I'm good just school nothing new. More importantly, when will the wedding be?" I said hugging her.

"Um, so sorry for the short notice but in a month. Actually 1 month tomorrow. Do you think you can make it that day?" She asked.

"I wouldn't miss it for the world!" I said excitedly.

"Okay great. Now one more thing. Would you be a bridesmaid for me?" She questioned.

"Yes! What an honour! Thank you so much!" I said shockingly.

"Oh and we already asked Zach to be a groomsmen to pair up with you." She said with a big grin on her face.

My eyes grew wide, "Me and Zach split up. But don't worry I'll still pair up with him. It's your big day!" I said with an excited tone but inside I wanted to just leave and scream.

I think she could tell I was upset because she tried to cheer me up a bit, "Okay great! I'll email you all the details. Since you aren't together with Zach anymore, if you want to bring someone else perhaps, that's cool."

"I'll see what comes up." I smiled back.

We watched as the game finished off and we lost in OT. She dropped me off at Morgan's place but I just told her I got a new place. I didn't want to mention Morgan quite yet. I started getting all nervous because I had never experienced Morgan or Jake after a loss. I got to the door and I unlocked it and went inside to see an empty apartment, which I was expecting. Jake came home just under an hour after I got back but without Mo. It got later, and later until I couldn't sleep because I was worried sick about where he was. That's when I heard a loud knock on the door.

Okay so we have a wedding planned but not for Mackenzie! And a slight cliffhanger :))
