Changes

I slowly crept up to the door and look through the peephole only to see Phil standing there.
"Oh gosh Phil. Incase you didn't notice knocking on someone's door at midnight is not creepy at all." I said with sarcasm.
"Just came to tell you Mo is alright and spending the night at our place. He needed to vent to someone about all the hate on him from tonight's game so I offered to let him come over for a little then it got later and I suggested him to just sleep over. I knew you would be worried." He laughed.
"Aw thanks Phil so much! I was really worried and especially because of the loss I didn't know what to expect." I said sighing with relief.
"Okay I'm going to head out. See you later Mack!" He said walking down the hall.
I quietly closed the door when I saw Jake walk out of his room.
"Mo crashed at Phil's right? I overheard. Thanks for getting the door because by time I actually got up I heard you talking." He said rubbing his eyes.
I laughed a bit, "No problem. Sorry if I woke you." I apologized.
"No worries." He replied sitting down on the couch flipping through channels, "Gosh nothing is on TV!" He cursed.
"I know I hate this time of night there is barely anything on." I said agreeing.
"Hey uh want to watch a movie?" He asked.
"Sure." I agreed.
I got up to search through the cases of movies when I showed Jake the cover and he nodded. I popped the disc in and plopped myself beside him on the couch. As the movie got closer to being done we both ended up dozing off on the couch together.
*next day*
"Whoa what the heck is this man? One night and you too are cuddling?!" Morgan screamed slamming the door.
I blinked a few times until I realized what was going on, "Oh gosh Mo we were watching a movie and we fell asleep. We weren't making out or anything calm yourself." I screamed back.
"Oh yeah okay how can I trust you when the one night I sleep somewhere else you guys are already against each other. This is ridiculous." He laughed at the situation.
"Ugh. When Jen was getting all touchy and close to you during the movie I didn't say anything even though it was killing me inside." I said defensively.
"Yeah but you were there. You knew nothing was going on between us!" He shouted.
"That's not the point! How would've I known if you guys ended up going out after I went to bed that night? I didn't because I trusted you like you should be doing to me now." I said with barely any energy left in me.
"I don't feel like fighting right now." He said heading towards his room.
"If you can't trust me the what are we at all?" I yelled as he stopped right in his tracks.
"So-uh us? Wh-why?" He stuttered.
"If you can't trust me now then when will you and Mo I can't wait forever." I said with tears dripping down my face.
He ran up to me, "Why are you crying?" He asked bringing me into a hug.
"Because right now you are like the only good thing I have in my life and trust is taking it away." I said continuing to weep.
"Awe honey. Trust me now that I'm just upset about the loss, sorry for getting all angry." He said holding me into a hug tighter.
"Okay and sorry for getting all defensive." I excepted the sorry right away.
"This wasn't your fault." He said kissing the top of my head, "Is Jake still sleeping through all of this?" He asked laughing.
"Let's wake him!" I suggested running out of his hug and towards the couch.
Morgan got two pans as he slammed them against each other making noise. He jumped awake and looked around alerting. We laughed at him so hard he started to laugh also. Jake got up and started throwing pillows at us like a little kid and the children we are, we returned the favour. We ended up playing around until 9 when I realized I was already late for school. I quickly got ready and Morgan was already waiting at the door for me. We ran all the way to the car when we drove fast to the school. I hopped out and waved as I was running into the building. School was usual but my drive to go home wasn't. Jake was in Mo's car waiting at the entrance of my school.
"Hey why are you here?" I asked confused.
"Uh well hop in." He said when I then did as told, "Well um Jen is uh not with me anymore." He said sadly.
"Aw Jake! She dumped you didn't she? Who came into "town" this time?" I said rolling my eyes.
"Wait what?" He asked rethinking what I said in his head.
"She does that Jake you aren't the only guy trust me." I said patting his shoulder.
"I can't believe her. I really liked her and she really liked me too. I thought we had something man. Gosh I just got played." He shouted smashing his hand against the steering wheel.
"Not that I'm trying to make you feel worse but why did you pick me up?" I said as gentle as I could not trying to irritate him.
"Oh sorry! Truth is I just wanted to ask a girl why would she have just randomly dumped me. Plus what a lame excuse! Oh my ex boyfriend came into town. Okay and what are you trying to say aren't we together? Well at least I know I'm not the only dummy." He said frustrated.
"Thanks for picking me up though." I said trying to make him smile.
"No problem. just needed an explanation you know?" He said shrugging his shoulders."Oh everyone deserves one. It's not you it's her stupidity." I said shaking my head pulling my phone out of my pocket and deciding to text Morgan.Me: Hey we're on our way. What you up to? If you're free set up food and movies. Mr. Heartbroken over here just had a kick in of realization from Jen.Morgan: Got it! Ordering chinese and heading to buy some movies.Me: Okay be home soon.We drove home listening to music and singing. I even attempted to make him laugh and once in a while he would budge. Heartbroken therapy starts now!
