Recovering
I woke up ready as ever. I needed a good sleep and a good talk and now that both of those are done I was ready to see Mo. I washed up, and got ready. I thanked Ashley before I left for what she has done for me. It was 12 p.m. by time I left her place and I got to the guys' place around 12:30. I knocked on the door hesitantly when I heard immediate footsteps run to the door and open it. "Mackenzie." Morgan brought me into a huge hug. I pulled away, "Just because I'm here doesn't mean we are cool now." He looked down, "I figured we would be but I'm okay to talk. Come in." I walked in looking around to see Jake not home, "I missed my stuff." "I bet you did. Sorry, you could've came to get something if you needed it." He said. "So where do we start?" I started the conversation. He sighed, "What is there to talk about? I understand you're upset but I already know what about and I'm sincerely sorry for it." "I'm sorry for what I did. I should've kept quiet." I shook my head. "No! I'd rather know and prevent you from being upset." He smiled as I returned one. "So are we okay. Like we don't have to sort anything else out?" I asked. "Yeah definitely." He brought me into another hug except I didn't push away this time. We just talked and hung around until he had to leave for the game tonight. He left and I watched the game alone. I ordered a pizza during game for myself since I grew up an appetite. The pizza arrived and as I opened the door Zach was at the door. "Oh great just the guy I needed to see." I grunted pulling the money out of my pocket. "I'm a delivery guy okay I have your food just shut up." He said angrily. My eyes grew wide, "What's wrong with you? Did another one of your girlfriends catch you cheating." I teased handing him the bills. He handed me the pizza, "Shut up I said." He replied. "No this is my place don't you think-" He cut me off with a very loud tone. "Shut the heck up okay enough of your shit!" He yelled throwing the pizza on the ground. "What the frick man! You dumb ass can't hold your anger can you?" I said picking it up but before I knew it I saw him push the door back open, "What the-" He rapidly swung his arm at me when I fell to the ground, "What you deserve after all these years." I groaned in pain, "What. Did. I." "Everything. My life was ruined because of you." He said kicking me in the stomach as I flipped to the other side, "Oh where's your little weakling of a boyfriend now? Probably out without you, cheating on you just like us guys should be." "No he isn't because he actually has a brain unlike you." I replied trying to get up when he pushed me down. He snickered, "Oh Mackenzie. Only if you knew." He said hitting me so many times I couldn't count.
He slammed the door on the way out after a few very painful shots. I managed to slither over to the door and locked in making sure he doesn't come back. I lied there in pain since it was too much damage done. He could've killed me I thought to myself. I could've been dead, gone. I couldn't move at that point anymore so I continued to lay in pain until someone came over. Less than an hour after the lock was budging to see Morgan and Jake walk in and see me lying there. "Babe what happened?!" Morgan freaked. "I'll call an ambulance." Jake replied grabbing his cell out of his coat pocket. "You're bleeding a lot." Morgan said searching for more damage. "I-I." I stuttered as I couldn't even speak. "Shh explain to the police don't worry it'll be alright. Just going to get you checked out and we'll be completely fine." He said hugging me pressing gently on my wounds. "Hello yes can I get medical attention come to my apartment. My roommate is lying down on the floor all hurt and bleeding. Thank you." He continued to give them the apartment information and stuff. "Do you think you could pull out a few descriptive words so I can tell them what the situation was?" Morgan asked grazing his thumb across my forehead. "Zach." The only word that popped in my head and fell out of my mouth. "He did this?" Morgan furiously questioned. I nodded, "Pizza." I weakly pointed to the box laying beside me. "Did he bring it randomly? Or did you order it." He asked again shaking his head. "Order." "How long ago did he come here?" He asked once again. "9:22. I remember. I timed long it here." I couldn't speak full sentences but I managed main words. "Thank you I understand now. When you're feeling better you can tell me how it started but for now just calm down." He smiled at me while Jake continued to pace back and forth. Before we knew it the paramedics knocked at the door. They carried me out, ran some quick tests and rushed me in to the hospital. After some more tests and x-rays I resulted having just some stitches from some deep cuts. I got stitched up and passed out for the night. They said they wanted to keep me since it was late and some other medical reasons. *Next day* I woke up and looked over to see Morgan lying down sound asleep on the hospital chair. "Mo. Mo. Morgan!" I called. Startled, he jumped awake, "Mack you okay is everything alright?" I grunted, " Why the hell did you stay? I told you to go before I fell asleep." "Because I didn't want to leave you." He said rubbing my arm. "You really didn't need to." I smiled. "Good morning Miss Walker. How are you doing? Breakfast will be here shortly then we will run some tests, give you some medication and you can head home alrighty?" The nurse said. "Very nice thank you." I replied. I ate breakfast and Morgan went to get Tim Hortons for himself. I did all he hospital asked me to and we left. We stayed home all day and watched movies and ate take out all day. Morgan kept smiling at me and I didn't know what for. "Hey why you smiling so much." I asked. He smiled yet again, "Thank you." "For what?" I laughed. "If we didn't have that fight I probably would've been out all night with the boys. I wouldn't have found you. You could have bleed to death." He said smacking his hand on his thigh. "Don't be so over dramatic I wouldn't have died." I grasped his hand. "It doesn't matter I should come home every night after the game. I take you for granted." He said with a scowl on his face. "No you don't. Stop it don't be so hard on yourself." I brought him into a hug. He smirked and returned the hug, "You're the best." "By the way, my parents anniversary is coming up. My brother said to bring someone and I was thinking you. What do you think? I'll make sure it doesn't affect your games. I know the season is like 5 games or so away." I hoped he would be fine with coming because I didn't want to go alone even though it was only my family. He had a big grin appear, "I'd be my pleasure! I haven't met any of your family so it sounds great!" "Awesome I'll arrange something on a day you don't play." I said grabbing my phone and standing up to go call my brother. I talked to him for a while arranging a day where it would fit everyone's schedule. We set the day for next Friday since Morgan played Thursday and Sunday home. I let him know about all the stuff that happened between me and Zach. Every part down to yesterday. He agreed not to tell my parents because I was planning to explain all the shit that has happened on the day of. I was tired so I headed to bed before Mo yet again. I didn't expect this day to go so well but it did after all.
