Changes

*Friday*

Ahh Friday has arrived and is the day Morgan gets to meet my parents. We decided to just have dinner at my parents' place so it would be more quiet for Morgan. He told me it would be fine to go out but I insisted staying home. We left our place and headed for their house.

"Uh Morgan." I said.

"Mmm yeah." He responded.

I sighed, "Are you nervous?"

He didn't answer.

"There's no need to be they love you already just by phone." I said as he let out a grin.

"Well you might think that but-" He said shaking his head.

I cut him off looking him in the eye as we pulled in the driveway, "You have nothing to worry about okay. My dad likes hockey and just say my mom cooks good alright. You got yourself a jackpot if you can settle for that."

"Considering I play hockey that part should be easy and as long as your mom cooks the opposite of you we should be okay." He said jokingly and in return I playfully punched him in the arm and hopped out of the passenger seat.

We rang the doorbell and I could see Morgan shaking. I looked and smiled at him and he couldn't even give one in return. I heard footsteps and the door opened to see my brother standing there.

"Luc!" I gave him a hug.

"Mackenzie are you alright after all that happened?" He asked carefully hugging me back.

"Yeah can we uh not." I coughed.

He got the hint, "Oh sorry."

I smiled and looked and I saw my parents walking towards me and bringing me into big hugs. Morgan just stood there awkwardly until I introduced him.

"Mom, dad. This is Morgan. Morgan this is my brother Lucas, my mom and my dad." I explained.

"Hello. Nice to meet you beautiful house I must say." Morgan complimented.

"Oh thank you. We decided to go more traditional then modern when it comes to our homes." My mom smiled.

"Do you watch baseball kid?" My dad asked.

"Yeah all the time." Morgan said easily.

"Jays?"

"Big time fan." Morgan laughed.

"I'll show you to our TV." My dad said walking to the living room.

"Nice young man." My mom said watching the walk off.

"Yeah I think so too." I said to my mom.

Does he play COD?" My brother joked.

"Yep. Oh and I can kick both of your asses still." I winked.

"I'm going to watch the game." My brother said still laughing as I nodded.

"So how are you." She said cutting some lettuce for a salad.

My face turned red, "I hate him."

"Morgan?"

"No you know who." I said raising my eyebrows at her.

"Do you want to move in with us for a while. You know to keep you safe." My mom suggested, "Morgan can stay too."

"I don't think its necessary. I was planning on moving out. I was only suppose to stay part time anyways so mind as well do it before he knows I'm gone." I said eating a carrot before she cut it.

"Aren't you with him? What is he going to think about you leaving?" My mom asked concerned.

I sighed, "I haven't thought this through. I can't stay there much longer. I've known him for only 2 weeks so I don't think it would be so hard on him. I honestly think he'll be fine with it, or at least I hope so."

My mom shook her head like she usually does when she doesn't agree, "C'mon honey think about it. Let him enjoy the time here then on the way home talk it out alright? For mine and your sake."

"Okay thank you mom." I gave her a slight smile, "Boys, the foods ready!"

We all sat at the table and ate the food while we talked about the past funny stories we had growing up. Then later on when my mom brought some fruit and cake out my dad got a little serious with Mo. I was nervous but I could see the sweat on Mo's face from my seat.

"So uh Morgan, Vancouver right?"

"Yes sir born and raised." He replied rubbing his hand on his thigh to wipe the sweat off his palm.

"So is it that my daughter lives with you guys now. You and Gardiner am I correct?" My dad said in a stern tone.

He responded quite well, "Yeah thats our plan right now. After the current event we're talking about moving to a different place perhaps closer to you guys so we could visit more often. Even if we its not a home an apartment will do since its only us 2 since Jake might want to keep the place we are at currently."

"Ah seems like you kids have it all down packed." He smiled.

Morgan glanced over at me afterwards and I gave him a discreet thumbs up and he smirked at me then going back to talking with my brother about hockey and video games. I was washing the dishes when I felt two hands on my hips and a gentle kiss on my neck when I turned I saw Morgan smiling.

"I think they like me." He whispered.

I giggled, "Probably more than me."

He laughed shaking his head walking to my brother when they headed to his room which my guess was to play on his Xbox. Me and my mother talked as I watched the end of the jays game with my dad. It was getting later and later and my brother came running down with Morgan and plopped down on the couch together.

"Did you boys have fun?" My mother asked.

"Oh yeah." They simultaneously replied.

"Well its getting a little late I think we should head out." I suggested.

We said our goodbyes and headed home. On the way back Morgan was belting out to the radio when I lowered it and got a response.

"Hey! You know that's my jam!" He joked.

"Um can I talk to you about something."

"Sure what is it." He said tapping his finger on the steering wheel nervously.

"Uh remember how you were telling my dad about that housing plan."

"Oh that. Yeah I meant to talk to you about it. I was thinking maybe that was our best bet. I know you barely see your family so since we have the chance to move lets do it. Jake got a girls number at the hospital last night so maybe he wants some alone time."

"You serious?" I asked him confusingly.

His face drained, "I'm sorry. Forget it we can stay."

"No no. I mean are you serious I was going to talk to you about me moving into my parents house for a while until I find my own place near my school. If you think we're ready." I said twiddling my fingers.

He looked me straight in the eyes at a stoplight, "We're ready." He gave me a small peck and a small grin.

We arrived back and I decided to head to bed. I know Morgan had an early morning for practice and I was going to do some apartment hunting for us. What a relief!

Hey so I decided to do two smaller chapters in a week. The reason for that is I'm going away and might not update this following week so I hope this holds you guys off for a little while! I'll get right back on track when I return! Positive feedback always encourages me so maybe I could upload sooner.. thanks again for your patience :))
