We passed and passed stores and after passing quite a few we finally just stopped into one huge Bay outlet. We rushed straight towards the furniture area and looked around the different types of things. We saw some towels and soap plates we liked but nothing much or that shined out to us. We went into ikea because I absolutely love ikea and since prices are in my range its a double bonus for me! When we walked around I saw this really cute lamp so I just quickly went to go check it out. When I turned around to find Morgan I saw him sitting down on this really lovely couch. I walked over and snuggled beside him in public. It was kind of funny because everyone was staring at us but we just laughed and stood up.

“So Mackenzie is this the couch?” He laughed.

“Are you saying yes to the couch Mr. Rielly?” I joked back.

He paused and yelled, “Yes!”

We continued on our shopping and stuff and went for lunch. While we were ordering our food we saw Martine and Jonathan there eating. After we finished we walked over to say hi.

“Hey guys! What are you doing out here at a fancy restaurant at this time? It’s more of a night atmopshere don’t you think?” Martine asked.

“Well we were just shopping for our new place! What about you guys?” I answered.

“Oh well we were celebrating.” She said reaching for Jon’s hand, “We’re having a baby!”

“Oh my! Congratulations you two! So are you guys planning to get married or?” I said going in for a hug.

“After the baby. It’s a boy by the way. We didn’t know, she has been preganant for a few months now and we never even noticed!” Jonathan explained with a huge grin plastered on his face.

“We better get going but congrats man! We’ll catch up more soon.” Morgan said grabbing my hand and started to walk.

He walked fast and didn’t wait one step at all. His grip on my hand was stopping my blood circulation. He had a slight scowl on his face. I could tell something was wrong.

“Morgan can you slow down?” I said when we reached the parking lot.

“Nothing. I want to go home now.”

“We barely got anything!” I said hopping into the front seat of his car.

“I don’t really care.” He said driving out of the parking spot fast.

“What’s your problem?” I yelled.

“You want to know what my problem is?” He said pulling over to the side rapidly, “I always get the shaft. When I was told I had a chance of being drafted my brother graduated finally. When I tell them I meet a girl, my dad decides to get promoted. Everything I do someone always has to have something bigger to say or do. I just wanted them to be all happy for us moving in together at our own place but now it will all be about Baby Bernier. Don’t take this bad I’m happy for them but I wish it wasn’t right now.”

All I could do was hug him. I felt bad for him because I knew how it felt. My childhood consisted of everything being put aside whenever I did something. My family loved me and loved me and my brother equally but I understood the feeling. Now that I think of it he has all rights to be upset. I held him in a hug for a while until I suggested to go home and do some packing. He needed a break. I needed a break.
