Changes

When we got to their car I hopped in the backseat and buckled my seat belt. Morgan drove and Jake sat in the passenger seat. He kept changing the channels and whenever he found one with a good song he would start singing.
“See Mackenzie, this is what I have to deal with everyday.” Morgan turned around and laughed.
“I don’t mind it.” I laughed “It is pretty entertaining.”
Morgan and Jake were laughing as Jake continued to sing. We got to the ACC and they parked in the back with all the other players’ cars. We stepped into the arena getting warm hellos and waves.
“You sure it is okay for me to be here?” I whispered to Morgan as we had approached the team all waiting for the staff to open the change room.
“Yes don’t wor-“he said as he got cut off by Phaneuf.
“Who do we have here?” he smiled and he held his hand out for a shake.
“I’m Mackenzie.” I shook his hand. Oh my gosh it is Dion Phaneuf. The Toronto Maple Leaf captain! “Nice to meet you.”
“Yeah I brought her to watch our little practice before tonight.” He said looking around.
“Oh is she coming to tonight’s game? If she is, she can sit with my wife in one of the boxes.” He offered to us.
“I don’t think she would mind! You wife doesn’t have anybody to fill the seats?” Morgan said just looking over to me to reassure I would be able to go.
“There is an extra seat since Bolly’s wife couldn’t make it tonight. Are you free sweetie?” I nodded as the other team members came and said hello and shook my hand before they went in to the change room.
Morgan got a staff member to take me to the stands so I could wait there until they come out for practice. Shortly after, the team came out and started shooting pucks and warming up Reimer and Bernier. I wasn’t paying attention when a puck shot at the glass and I jumped. Morgan was fooling around and started laughing at me. Practice ended as I ran around out of the stands to the entrance of the change room.
“Good job Boz. Kess you were pretty good too.” They both turned to me.
“Well thank you.” Kessel smiled.
“Yeah that was pretty nice of you.” Bozak said also smiling.
“Hey Mack I’ll try to be out soon so I can get a cab to take you back to my place or to Dion’s place so you and Elisha can come together.” He said out of breath walking into the room.
“Whatever is easiest for you. Take your time no rush.” I said giving him a thumbs up as he waved a small bye.
“Hey.” I heard from behind me as Dion walked up to me. “Like Riels was saying, go to my apartment my wife knows you will be going there. You two can drive here together tonight.”
“Okay cool. Thanks Dion you’re so nice!” I smiled hugging him.
“No problem.” He said laughing “Enjoy the game!” He said walking in the change room.
The rest of the team followed Dion inside as I gave them quick good jobs or small smiles. Morgan came back out with under armour and some other equipment.
“If you’d like you can wait by the entrance because the cab should be here anytime now.” He smiled and motioned his hand toward the door.
“Okay going to Dion’s right?” I asked.
He nodded his head “Yeah. Don’t worry about directions or anything for tonight. Elisha knows where to go. See you tonight!”
I went on my tippy-toes and kissed his cheek “Thank you, this is going to be so fun. Bye!” I ran to the door as I looked back and waved before opening the door of the cab. I sat in the cab as it drove to this really pretty apartment. I hopped out to find a gorgeous blonde running to me grabbing my arm and pulling me inside into the lobby.
She quickly pulled her hood off “Hey. I am Elisha, I heard you were coming.” She smiled “Let’s go to my place.”
“Hey, I’m Mackenzie by the way.” I said as we walked into the elevator with her pushing a floor number and swiping a card.
“Nice name sweetie!” We stepped out of the elevator and she showed me the way to her door. “This is me and Dion’s place. Feel like home.”
She opened the door as my eyes grew wider and wider “Holy! This is your place! It is gorgeous!” I took off my jacket as I just stood in one place and admired the apartment.
“Thank you.” She pulled her jacket off and hung it up grabbing mine in my hand. “So I also heard you don’t have any other clothes? You can borrow a jersey and clothes if you need.” She said cuddling on the couch with her dog.
“Okay thanks for this you really don’t have to.” I said sitting on the couch across from her.
“Oh I have to.” She laughed a bit “Dion told me that Morgan was saying to him that you’re a keeper.” She said raising her eyebrows. Inside I wanted to jump around and scream for joy. He really said that about me?

Okay so I might try something different for the next chapter like maybe like Morganès POV. Haha sorry for not updating in a while so busy with everything ugh! I am already starting next chapter so the next one will be up as soon as I am done which will be shortly! Thank you for reading :):):)
