Morgan’s POV
I woke up to the scent of coffee and sunlight just slightly shining through the curtains in my room. I rolled out almost falling on the floor heading into the washroom when I saw Mackenzie dancing to the Sports center theme song as she walked over to the couch. I let out a little laugh as I washed up. She made me really happy and I knew it right when I first saw her.
“Good morning.” She smiled as she looked back from the couch.
I smiled and nodded at her as I grabbed a mug and poured some coffee “So this Zach guy. Is he taller than me? Can I kick his ass?”
She let out a cute giggle standing up from the couch and walking to drop her mug in the sink “A bit taller but you can do it.”
“Let’s pray I can because I don’t want to get chirped by the guys if they hear about it.” I said raising my eyebrows at her. “Let’s go soon I’m going to get ready.”
I grabbed the mug and headed into my room to get ready. I sipped my coffee when I saw her standing there already ready.
“Wow that was fast.” I said as we stepped out into the hallway. Not too long after I found us at this building. I parked the car as we walked into the building and found the apartment she used to live in. I could see she was shaking. I didn’t know she was this nervous, now that only made me nervous! She knocked on the door as hard as she could. This short, blonde girl opened the door and said hello.
“Where is Zach?” Mackenzie yelled.
“Umm who are you?” The blonde asked.
Mackenzie pushed her to the side and walked inside shouting his name. He walked out a room and rolled his eyes.
“What are you doing here? I thought I was an idiot.” He said walking past her staring at me “Who’s this fool you found.”
I was pissed off I stomped inside “Your the fool for being an idiot for leaving her so shut up.” I yelled pushing him.
“Whoa Mack tell lover boy to calm down I just asked who he was.” He said with a small smirk.
“I’ll call the police get out!” Screamed the girl running to the kitchen.
“No need we are just getting my stuff and leaving.” Mackenzie walked into the room Zach was in and looked around. “Where is my stuff I’m not playing around?”
“It’s in the guest room.” Zach mumbled as he motioned his head toward a door.
“Give us 10 minutes.” I walked with her into the room and collected whatever was in boxes. It didn’t look like she had much but enough to fill our arms.
“Here’s the stupid key.” Mackenzie threw on the floor.
Zach leaned down to get the key “Well that wasn’t very nice was it you little brat.”
“Okay buddy listen that wasn’t necessary she did nothing to you.” I said putting down the boxes looking at him straight in the eye.
He laughed “Oh well good luck with her. Next time, don’t be so overprotective.”
“Man shut up at least I’m not a cheater.” I spit out shaking my head.
His whole face turned red with anger and as soon as I knew it he had his fist clenched and threw a punch.
Mackenzie’s POV
“Wake up wake up wake up! You sick bastard look what you’ve done! Morgan please opens your eyes!” I shouted in tears.
His eyes blinked a few times and it took him a few seconds to stand up and grab the boxes. He was out for a good 2 minutes and around the 1 minute mark they shut the door. What jerks they are. When both of us picked up the boxes I kicked the door as we headed out the place. We dropped the boxes in the trunk of the car and drove back to his place.
“Um so would you like to stay?” he said under his breath.
I bit my lip nervously “Well I don’t have a place to live anymore so maybe until I get a place.”
He smiled but I could tell he wanted to hide it “Cool. Now that you got your stuff it won’t be so hard.”
The rest of the drive was silent. The whole day I and he spent inside watching movies and eating junk food since Jake was out with some guys from the team. Around 8 we both decided we were hungry so Morgan offered going to a steakhouse. I threw on a short black dress that was fairly elegant with some flats since he told me it was a bit high end. Morgan looked really handsome in his suit he was wearing. We arrived at the restaurant as Morgan helped me out of the car. The place looked so beautiful from the outside I could just imagine the atmosphere from the inside.
