Changes

I woke up to my phone alarm going off and a messy room. I quickly hopped out of bed getting ready for the day. I still am in school and I will be done in a few months. I used to work at Tim Hortons, then at a restaurant but I quit my former job because Zach told me to. I walked out of my room all dressed with my bag all ready to go. Morgan and Jake were not talking from, I guess, last night. I really hoped they didn't continue to stay silent. I needed to talk to Jen about him because she can't just go around doing this. But at the same time she could be totally innocent and actually like him. Morgan was the first out of them two to see me.

"Hey why up so early and ready?" He asked taking in a spoon full of cereal.

I looked down at my outfit "Oh I have school. I actually might be late. I'll talk to you guys later though! See you around 3." I said sliding on my shoes at the door.

"May I ask how you're going to get there?" He smirked.

I sighed. How could I not think of that. Only I would forget that I didn't live 5 minutes away anymore. I shrugged my shoulders as my head sunk.

Morgan laughed when he stood up grabbing his coffee and walking to his bedroom. I tried to make small talk with Jake while Morgan was in his room getting dressed. He sounded upset like he lost something. I need to talk to Jen ASAP. Morgan came out dressed a bit down and had his keys in his hand. I waved bye to Jake and we left. I told him my school and where to go. I was cracking jokes with Mo and laughing along with him. He seemed down also so I attempted to cheer him up. I got to the school as I hopped out of the car and had a little goodbye talk with Morgan.

"I'll call you when I'm done okay? What's your number?" I asked grabbing my phone from my coat pocket.

He chuckled "You slept over twice, went to my game and went out with me and you don't even have my number?"

"Well I didn't need it until now." I figured.

He gave me the number and waved goodbye as he drove off and I headed in the building. School was usual. Classes, talking, learning, work. When the day came to an end I decided to not call Morgan but instead Jennifer.

Me: Hey girl how's it going?
Jen: Good you?
Me: Ahhh just got out of school. I was wondering, you free in about 15 minutes?
Jen: Yeah why?
Me: Want to meet up at a Timmies around 3:15 then? The one beside the restaurant I saw you at yesterday.
Jen: Oh perfect I'm just heading out of a store I'll be there as fast as I can see you soon!

I hung up my cell walking while small flakes of snow fell from the sky. I got there and sat at a seat when I decided to text Morgan that I might be late. I was just playing candy crush when I saw someone sit in front of me.

"Hey! Want to order something?" Jennifer said taking off her leather gloves.

"Sure let's go." I said rising from my seat.

We waited in line and ordered our drinks and we both got a donut. We went back to the same table and ate and talked and just caught up.

"Jen I need to talk to you about something. All jokes aside for now." I said in a serious tone.

"Okay what's on your mind Mack?" She said sipping her coffee.

"Well you know when you told me you were dating this Jake guy? Well it turns out I know him very well and I just wanted to tell you that he is a great guy and I don't want his heart to get broken." I said looking at my drink the whole time.

"You think I would do that? Yeah I probably would but why would I when he is loaded?" She laughed.

"That includes not being a gold digger and only dating him for the cash. He works hard for it and you shouldn't just take it away from him. Okay look all I'm saying is that I know what your planning and I don't like it. Just don't get him attached if your just going to break up with him when you have all this fancy shit." I started to get loud because I was getting mad.

"Listen you can't tell me what to do! If I feel like doing that plan you were talking about I will and you can't stop me." She stood up and started putting her jacket on.

I did as well, "Your not getting my point. I'm not trying to change you I'm just trying to tell you that it isn't right to do that. If you want to, go ahead but I'm just warning you that you would lose more than you gained." I walked out right when I finished saying that.

I checked my phone as I walked towards my school. I had gotten 2 missed calls from Mo. How long was I there for? I called him back quickly so he wouldn't be worried and I wouldn't be stranded.

Me: Hey Morgan sorry I missed your calls. You able to pick me up now?
Morgan: Yeah no problem. I'll be there soon, stay warm.
Me: I'll try see you soon.

It was a short conversation with him. I hung up the phone and I sat on a bench outside. I was just checking some stuff on my cell when someone sat beside me.

"Mackenzie." It was Zach.

"What do you want?" I said still looking at my phone.

"You back. I was stupid to cheat. She meant nothing to me. Please take me back and move back in with me?" He begged grabbing my hand and interlinking my fingers with his.

"No." I shook my hand off of his. "You had me and then lost me and I told you I can't-"

I got cut off by a kiss. I pushed Zach off and stood up only to see Morgan in his car right in front of me. He saw us kiss.

"Run off to your suck of a boyfriend now." He yelled as I walked holding back the tears in my eyes to Morgan's car.

I hopped in and Morgan was looking straight at the road. He didn't even look at me or say anything. That's great that just added more fuel to the fire in the apartment now.
