The Maze To Your Heart

Chapter Eight: Second Period.

A/N: OK. So I have a question... Does anybody find Erik Karlsson HOT, like I do? OH AND... check out my Eberle/Hall fan fiction. Love Triangle Cliche yadada. It's called, "Two Images, One Heart" OK.

Kris and I had been back in Montreal for his game against the Canadiens. You may think that I would love the Canadiens since I'm from Montreal, but you thought wrong. I'm a die hard Leaf fan. Mats Sundin, Wendell Clark, Tie Domi and Darcy Tucker were some of my idols.

"You better kick ass tonight!" I said encouragingly to Kris who was taping his sticks.

"Oh yeah." He grinned to himself, "What if I don't?" He questioned.

"Well that just brings them closer to the top eight, so it's really all up to you I guess." I shrugged trying to guilt him.

"Trust me, we'll win." He smiled confidently. He put his stick on the rack as he turned to put his hands on my waist. I just laughed softly.

"Not now, I'm going to take Heather out to dinner. I'll be late." He pouted and pulled me closer to him. Our bodies touched the same time our lips touched.

"Letang, no sex in the hallway. Especially when we're guests." I heard the familiar voice of Tony Parks, The Pittsburgh Penguins Assistant Coach say. I buried my face in his chest as I laughed. What could be more embarrassing?

"Yeah Tanger, no sex." I heard Evgeni say as he walked by grinning. These guys just wanted to embarrass me, didn't they?

"Cockblockers!" Kristopher cursed towards the two men.

"I better get going now, Kristopher. See you after the game, alright? Play hard and safe." I told him with the slight bite of my lip.

"Bye, Mave and I will." He said alas.

Heather and I found our way to the seats that the guys were able to score us. We had blue line seats almost, three rows away from the glass. I looked on to see the boys warming up; shooting pucks, stretching and with the occasional chirping between the few.

Heather had her boyfriend, Jordan Staal's jersey on. I had had Kristopher's jersey on, since he insisted on me wearing it.

Kris and I weren't dating yet either. Neither one of us had bothered talking about it, but we did share the same bed, kiss each other, go on dates and everything a couple would do. I secretly was waiting for him to ask, but didn't want to seem persistent. That wasn't really my style. I had always been very quiet.

Heather tapped my shoulder, "Look they're looking for us. Isn't that just adorable?" She laughed.

I seen Kris skating around nonchalanty with Jordan. They were both looking on to the crowd as the girls were giggling and blushing over them. I found it really cute. They soon scanned the crowd long enough to find us two. So we waved onwards to them.

"Yeah, we're lucky to have them." I told her as she smiled to see Jordan flip a puck to these girls.

Soon it was face off time. Jordan hadn't started, but Sidney's line did. Kristopher did have the start sure enough. Sid lost the face off, so they were on defense right off the hop.

I watched as Marc had let 4 slip by as it was in the beginning of the 3rd period. Carey Price, he had almost the same performance going on with 3 goals against. I watched as Jordan passed it up to Matt Cooke who skated with it. Cooke passed it to Nealsy who sniped it up top.

Heather and I had stood up out of our seats and cheered as the arena was quiet. We happily danced as we appeared on the Jumbrotron. It was quite embarrassing because the Penguins were laughing at their bench. They had seen the dancing, just like everyone else.

We slowly found our seats as we were both red as tomatoes. "God, that was just horrible." I muttered shyly.

"I couldn't agree more." Heather said as we shared a laugh.

A couple more minutes in the third Kristopher brought the puck up looking dandy. It was a 2-on-1. I looked to see Pacioretty come off the bench and speed towards Kristopher. I already knew what was going to happen. He got hit and I stood out of my seat in horror. The play continued before the Ref blew the whistle. His hand wasn't up. Kristopher just laid there.

"Oh my god." Heather and I said together.

"What the fuck kind of shit is that? It was a fucking high elbow you fucking blind asshole!" I yelled angrily at the man in black and white as he skated by. He just glanced at me. My inner-hockey self was coming out.

Kristopher had gotten up, but he had blood coming down from his nose and maybe out of his mouth. I just cringed at the sight. Atleast Malkin had given Pacioretty a few punches. I better remember to thank Evgeni for that later.

"Maybe you should go see him. I can wait here." Heather offered as she saw the worried expression on my face.

"Yeah I will. I'll be back." I told her quickly as I walked passed a ton of Canadien fans. A lot of them consisted of older drunk fans. I cringed at the smell.

I found myself outside the locker room. It was empty since the third was still going. I walked into the doctor rooms to find Kris sitting on one of the beds there. He looked over at me.

"Kris, oh my god. Are you okay?" I asked worried as ever. I had my hand on his cheek. The majority of his gear was on.

"I'm fine, Mavel. You didn't have to come check on me." He shrugged it off, trying to act tough. Boys always try to prove their manliness.

I sat up on the bed next him. I put one of my arms around his shoulders and rested my head on his shoulder.

"Are you sure? You were bleeding and Pacioretty is a little bitch." I said bitterly. I looked around the room, it was mostly white. It wasn't as nice as the one back at the Consol; due to the fact that this was an away game.

"I'm fine, Mavel." He repeated a little annoyed. "Of all people you should understand."

"Yeah and of all people I should know what it's like taking a career ending injury!" I argued back to him as I let go of him.

"Whatever Mave, I'm perfectly fine." He stated briefly.

"I'm sorry, I just care about you so much." I apologized. He looked at me and we stared into each other's eyes.

"I know," He said with a smirk.

I pulled him into a kiss. I wrapped my fingers in his long hockey hair. His tongue fought for entrance and I let it roam my mouth. Soon I felt his hands attempt to run up my shirt. I broke the kiss and grinned.

"Kristopher!" I slapped him playfully and he laughed.

"What?" He smirked his classic smirk.

"Not now, not here either." I scolded. I really wanted to though.

"Please." He whined. He pulled me closer to him. I felt his breath on my face. He brought his lips to my neck. My knees started to get weak. I let a moan slip out and he stopped to look at me as he laughed.

"You suck." I told him.

"I'll see you after to game at my moms, alright?" He got up and grabbed his equipment.

"You're such a tease! You leave me here turned on to watch the rest of the game." I said unhappy. I crossed my arms and he just grinned.

"Trust me, playing a game with a bunch of men is a total boner killer. I think I have it worst. Love you. Now go, so you can finish watching the game." He said shooing me away.

"Love you too and tell Ev I said thank you!" I yelled as I walked out of the room.

"It's nice to visit you all." I said to Christiane and her husband. My mother was also here. We were sitting around the isle in Christiane's first class kitchen visiting and catching up.

"Yeah, it's been a while." Christiane said happily with a smile.

"So you and Kris are back together? I'm happy for you two." My mother decided to bring up.

I paused a little shy. "I- Yeah we're back together I guess you could call it. He hasn't actually asked me to be his girlfriend. He did at first, but that was when we first started seeing each other and it was too early then." I explained as the two girls nodded their heads. ____ was kind of confused by the look of his face.

"Women are so confusing." He said as he brought out some wine and glasses.

"We are not. Mavel was just being reasonable with him." Christane defended.

"We're happy together though. We don't get annoyed of each other mostly because we spend time apart. I do need to find something to do though. I'm getting bored out of my mind just hanging around Pittsburgh." I told them as I took a sip from the drink ___ had put in front of me.

"One of the perks of being with Kris." My mom said before going into thought. "Why don't you take coaching into consideration?" She suggested.

I heard the door open and someone coming in. A few moments later someone had their hands on my shoulders and said, "Hey honey." I looked up to see nonetheless, Kristopher. My mother and Christiane just smiled happily.

"How are you feeling?" I asked since he had gotten injured during the game. He also had scored the winning goal that made me flip out.

He just chuckled, "I told you I was fine. Nothing serious."

"Kris, she's just looking out for you." His mom said.

"I know-I know." He repeated.

"You two are so cute together." My mom said happily.

"Thank you." Kristopher and I said in sync.

"You played fantastic!" Kris' step dad had told him.

"Thanks."

"It's getting a little late though. I think I'm going to go to bed." I decided to say so Kris could spend some time with his family alone. I think he deserved it.

"I can fix up a bed here for you, or you can go stay at your moms." Christane offered.

I looked over at Kristopher unsure if he wanted me to stay with him here or if he was alright to be alone. I secretly wanted to sleep in the same bed as him. He was on a two game road trip with it finishing in Montreal. Kristopher gave me a little look to let me know that he wanted me to stay here with him.

"I can spend the night here. I have all my stuff here already. In the morning I will go to breakfast with my mom." I explained and they nodded their heads.

"Alright, sounds good. I better get going too. See you in the morning, Mavie." My mother said as she kissed me on the cheek.

"Goodnight, mum." I said.

* * *

I was in Kristopher's old room. I looked at the walls because it hasn't changed since we were kids almost. I was looking at the photos in frames he had in his room. I seen a picture of us two together. I smiled, it really pulled my heart. After all of this time, even when we weren't together. It was still there. Soon enough Kris came in the room wearing only basketball shorts. His long hair had been pushed behind his ears as usual. Long hair was always his thing, but never really this long.

I turned my attention to him. "You still have this up-- after all this time?" I asked happily.

A little bit of embarrassment trickled across his face. I could see it by the pink-like color spread on his face. "I don't really have a reasonable explanation other than not being able to get over you." He said sheepishly.

"You're adorable." I said with a grin. I soon found myself staring at his body. He was much more fit from when we were teenagers. Kristopher had had nicely toned abs. His tattoos also filled his body. I bit my lip, unknowingly. His muscles, smile, tats and hair was taking over.

He laughed. "Are you, Mavel Maze-- checking me out?" He asked seeming amazed.

I blushed due to my shame. "I am not. What are you talk about?" I said as I went to lay in his bed. I got comfortable under the blankets as Kris came to join me. I was wearing pajamas and one of Kristopher's shirts.

He turned to look at me. "Do you want to pick up where we left off at the arena?" He grinned devilishly towards me.

"I would..." I trailed off. "But-- we're at your mother's, so no." I said as he frowned.

"Wait, that reminds me. I got you something in Phoenix. I'll grab it." He said as he headed to turn on the lamp. I got up and sat straight on the bed. I watched him dig through his bag. He pulled out a big white bag. I saw him smile innocently as he walked towards me.

"Here you go." He handed me to bag. He took a seat on the edge of the bed as he awaited me to open the bag.

I dug in the bag and pulled out two paintings of me at the 2010 Olympics. I had my gold medal around my neck. I was in my gross gear with a huge smile. The other painting was of the game winning goal assisted by my good friend Tessa Bahomme. I was smiling as I thought of the good days. They were good, but they didn't have Kristopher in them so they weren't perfect.

I smiled at him with tears nearly coming down. "Kristopher, thank you so much."

In the paintings you could see the crowds going crazy. You were able to see Tessa's reaction to the shot I took. She was flipping out. The American goalie sprawling to attempt and save it.

"One of my friends recommended the artist in Phoenix. It's all my pleasure. I remember watching you play that game. It was amazing." He told me with a smile.

"That was the game you and Catherine came to?" I asked.

He sighed. "No she didn't even come. She lied to you. She didn't want to she said. I went with Sid and Flower."

"You were there..." I said trailing off. "You should have came and said hi. Captain Canada had the balls to say hi." I joked. I shoved him playfully.

"Whatever." He said rolling his eyes jokingly.

"Thank you, baby." I said as I pulled him towards me for a kiss.

He pulled away after a make out session. "With that being said... Mavel Maze, would you be my official girlfriend?" He asked nicely.

I grinned at him mischeviously. "Of course." I seriously was in love with him.

"My mom was telling me how you pretty much never call me Kris, but call me Kristopher." He stated while we got in bed all over again.

"I guess I never really noticed." I said as I rested my head on his bare chest.

"She said that you're one of the very few people that call me that and it's something special." He said with a small smile.

"Well you said your name was Kristopher and you've been that since." I said jokingly.

"I love you." I heard him whisper.

"I love you too, Kristopher."

I know you probably don't want to do both, but I really liked this story! Hopefully you can get back to it eventually!
I think you should do it on the Oilers. There are so many fics on the Pens, and not many on the Oilers! :)
Can't wait to read it!
