If We've Got No Place To Go..
Normal
My life is so normal. Boring. Expected. Nothing unexpected or in the moment happens to me. Don't get me wrong, I love my job, my friends, family but the everyday can get tiring.
The game just finished, the Stars won over the Flames 4-3 and I'm almost done with post game interviews. The last person I need to interview is Tyler, and everyone wants to talk to him. So I go sit down by Ray Whitney. "Hey kiddo," he said ruffling my hair. "Hey oldie," I reply jokingly. Ray and I have a relationship where he's almost my older, protective brother. It's been this way since the first day I started as a member of the Stars' media team. We made small talk until the frenzy of media moved on. "Hey Tyler," I said softly. I know how media people get to him. "Hey, Jordan." A small smile tugged at his mouth. "Go ahead," he said as he began to remove his pads. "How did it feel to have a multi-point night?"
Tyler POV
I love watching her when she's interviewing. Her blue eyes get so intense. I can't help but smile. Then she thinks I'm laughing at her, so her cheeks turn furiously red. Then I smile even more, which makes her more angry. Jordan is one of the easiest people to talk to, though. Most of us guys give her more answers because we trust her. She is serious about her job but she can joke around with the guys, so it's fun when she's around. Jordan finishes her questions and leaves the locker room. When the door closes behind her, I begin to remove my spandex pants and I put on some jeans and a hoodie. We aren't required to be presentable on week day nights. "Hey Seggy, up for some beer and steak?" Jamie Benn asks me. "Sure, I'll meet you at your place?" "Yeah." Jamie said. I walked out of the American Airlines Center and rounded the corner towards my car. I noticed Jordan's car was parked next to mine. I walked around her car and I saw her, lying flat on her back on the pavement. My heart lurched in my chest.
