Chapter Seventy One

-Alex-

It felt good to wake up in my own bed, it felt even better waking up to warm and strong arms wrapped around my waists and a light snoring coming from behind me. I managed to get Sidney's hands untangled from my body and then looked at him and smiled. I kissed his head and then looked at the clock to see that it was about nine in the morning. I walked out of my room and down the stairs to head to the kitchen to start the coffee and check on the dogs.

We had gotten home last night and after getting all the bags in and the dogs in. Getting our greetings from James and Sam, I was going to bed with Sidney.

"Morning, Max," I muttered as I rubbed my eyes and saw that he was in the kitchen pouring coffee.

"Morning," he yawned and I opened the fridge.

And it clicked. I shot my head out from the fridge and looked at him, "Max?"

He looked at me and waved, "Hi," I walked over towards him and poked him to make sure that he was here and I wasn't seeing things, "What the hell are you doing?"

"Me?! What the hell are YOU doing?!" I asked and then I heard Sidney come down the stairs.

"Hey, Max," Sidney muttered.

"Hey."

Sidney was heading downstairs to get the newspaper, but stopped at the first step and turned around, "Why are you here?"

"Thank you for finally noticing!" I said and then sighed. I walked past Sidney and went to Sam's door and opened it, "SAM!!!"

"WHAT?!"

"GET UP HERE!!!" I yelled a little annoyed because I knew that she had something to do with this.

"What?!" Sam asked as she appeared in the stairwell and saw Max, "Oh."

"Yeah, oh, what the hell is he doing here?" I asked while looking at her and then turned my head to look at Max, "What are you doing here?"

"Alex," Sam said and I looked back towards her and I saw James appear in the stairwell, "Max couldn't find a place to stay," she said and I snorted, "I'm not lying, James and I even helped him but the only places with could find for him to rent and even buy were trash."

"You looked everywhere?" I asked and she nodded her head and I sighed and looked back towards Max.

"He took good care of the house when we were gone," Sam said and I looked at him to see that he was looking at his coffee.

"I have rules for you mister!" I said and he looked at me, "You are not to bring home any girls! You get some, you take them to their place or a hotel, not here!"

"Yes ma'am," he said and I shook my head.

"And you pay rent, just like everyone else!" I said and he nodded, "I'm guessing you already have your room?" I asked and he nodded his head. I sighed and then rubbed my forehead, "I'm gunna have to make a bigger driveway for all of these cars."

'...Let me see here, so it's me, Sam, James, Sidney and now my new teammate Max Talbot living under my roof...'

"So let's get this party started!" Max said and I smirked and shook my head.

"I need coffee first."

Later that day I walked into the room that Max was staying in to see that nothing was unpacked, '...Did he think I would say no?...'

"Alex?"

I turned around and saw Max in the doorway, "You know you can unpack."

"I didn't know if you'd let me stay," he said and I sighed.

"I'm just not use to having you around, just give me time," I said and he nodded his head.

"That's what Sid told me," he said and I smirked.

"Be ready, we have training camp tomorrow," I said and then he nodded his head and I walked out of the room and headed downstairs.

I heard people talking and heard someone coming up the stairs. I looked into the kitchen to see that Mel and Geno had appeared.

"Geno!" I smiled and he smiled towards me and I hugged him. He hugged me tight and lifted my off of the ground. I laughed and then kissed his cheek, "I missed you! How was Russia?"

"Good, I missed here though," he said his accent more pronounced than ever, "I have to get use to English again," he laughed and I nodded my head.

"What did you think of Russia, Mel?" I asked and she smiled.

"I loved it! It was so beautiful!" she said and I hugged her.

"I hear you have new roommate," Geno said and I nodded my head.

"Who?" Mel asked and Max walked down the stairs as if it was staged.

"Max!" Geno said and then walked over towards him and did the whole bro hug thing.

"Oh," Mel said and I laughed and nodded my head.

-Sidney-

Dinner was definitely interesting tonight, it was like one big family. Alex and I had gone out grocery shopping for the week and then went back to the house to see that Sam, James, Mel, Geno, Max, Kris, Eric, Marc and Vero were all there.

"Why do I even bother buying food when I know you're just going to order pizza?" Alex whined as I saw everyone crowding around the couch.

"Because pizza is good," Eric said and Alex and I shook my head.

"Can you at least help with the grocery bags?" Alex asked and the rest of the guys got up and walked down the stairs and out to the garage, "So did they already order the pizza?"

"Of course, it'll be here soon," Sam answered and she shook her head.

"How many?"

"I think six pies," Vero answered and she sighed, "Plus wings!"

"Do we have beer?" I asked as I opened the fridge to see that the bottom shelf was full, "All righty then."

"Alex, you think you got enough stuff?" Kris whined as he was the first up the stairs.

"This is for the week! If you haven't noticed, I haven't been home all summer!" Alex said and Kris sighed as the guys threw the bags onto the counters and then walked back over towards the couch.

"We'll help you, Alex," Mel said as she, Sam and Vero walked into the kitchen.

-Alex-

The girls helped me put all the food away and then when the pizza came, the guys literally ran down towards the door and practically trampled the poor delivery guy just for the food. The guys brought up the pizza and we lined the boxes up on the counter and I brought down some plates. There wasn't enough room for everyone so Kris, Max and Eric had to pull the stools over from the counter over towards the couch because we were going to watch Sinister.

Half way through the movie, James and Sam decided that they were going to go to bed, and since they were sitting next to me, the space was then opened. Kris jumped in it and then threw a pillow onto my legs and laid down. I still had my plate in my hands with a slice of pizza on there, a scary point came and I jumped and my pizza slice fell onto Kris' head. I gasped and covered my mouth, trying hard not to laugh like everyone else was. Luckily he had a hat on and nothing got in his hair, all he had to do was take his pizza sauce stained hat off and threw it onto the floor where Zeus then got to it and, Kris was not getting it back.

"Pause the movie! I gotta take a leak," Max said and I sighed.

"Charming, isn't he?" I said and Sidney paused the movie and I grabbed an extra pillow and threw it on Sidney's lap and laid down.

"Oh Alex, I forgot to ask, how was your birthday?" Mel asked and I looked to see that everyone was staring at me.

"It was good, spent it at the guy and then relaxing. Sidney tried to teach how to fish," I said and then saw that they were still staring at me, "What?"

"When was it your birthday?" Marc asked.

"Three days ago," I said and I looked at Sidney to see he was surprised, "What?"

"Why didn't I know about your birthday?" he asked and I saw in his eyes that he looked guilty.

"You forgot her birthday?" Sam asked

"No I didn't forget, I never knew!" he said and I laughed and shook my head.

"I don't celebrate my birthday, Sid, so calm down," I said and then laid back onto the pillow.

"But it's your birthday!"

"Who's birthday?" Max asked while walking out of the bathroom.

"Alex didn't tell us that three days ago was her birthday!" Kris said and I sighed.

"It's no big deal, I haven't celebrated my birthday since I was like ten," I said and then sighed.

"Everyone needs to celebrate their birthday!" Max said and I sighed, "Tomorrow after camp we should go out!"

Everyone agreed and then looked at me. I didn't want to, but then I was kind of made to. So that was it, I was going to celebrate my twenty-fifth birthday with everyone after a twelve hour training camp, fun.
