Chapter Eighty Seven

-Julie-

"I can't believe we're pulling this off!" Vero cheered as she helped me with my dress, "Julie, you look beautiful!"

"Thank you!" I laughed and then looked at myself in the mirror, smoothing out my dress and then gasping because it was finally here, I was getting married.

"No, no, no, don't cry! You'll ruin your make up!" mom yelled and I laughed and nodded my head.

"Show time ladies!" Andrea said as she ran into the room.

There was a knock at the door and we all looked to see it opening, "Can the father and grandson come in?"

"Sure daddy," I laughed and he walked in carrying Josh.

"Mommy!" Josh yelled happily and I laughed and turned towards them holding out my arms and kissing Josh's head, "So pretty!"

"Thank you baby!" I laughed and then look at dad to see a bright smile on his face and his eyes were watering, "No daddy, don't cry! I'll start!"

"You look beautiful," he said and I smiled and kissed his cheek, "Sidney's a lucky man."

"Let's get going!" Andrea yelled and with one last look in the mirror, we were out the door.

-Sidney-

"Stop it! You making me nervous!" Geno growled and swat at my arm as I rocked back and forth.

"I'm sorry," I muttered and then looked at all of the people that were in the church, "What if she doesn't show up?!"

"She's gunna show, relax!" Kris said and I sighed and rubbed the back of my neck and adjusted my suit, "Relax."

"She's late."

"What the hell do you expect? You only gave her three hours to get ready!" dad said from in-between Geno and I.

The flower girl, ringer bearer, and priest were all in place, we've been standing there for ten minutes and I was getting scared. I checked my watch, five fifteen, wedding was suppose to start at five. The door opened and everyone turned around. I chuckled when I saw Josh, my best man, walk quickly down the aisle and then run up to the stand and stood next to me, tugging on my arm, I heard the people chuckle and I looked down at him.

"Everything all right?"

"Auntie V had a- uh, freak attack," Josh said and I bent down and looked at him and then back at Marc.

"One more time?" I chuckled.

"She cried a lot, paper bag and everything," Josh said and Marc walked over and bent down next to Josh.

"She all right?" Marc asked and Josh nodded his head.

"Mommy was laughing and told me to tell you five minutes," Josh said and I smirked and nodded my head, "She said, girl problems."

"Vero always wants to make an entrance," Marc laughed and I nodded my head and then we stood up straight.

"Ok?" Geno asked and I smirked and nodded my head.

"You guys better get back there," I said and they nodded their heads and started to head up the aisle leaving me alone with my dad, who was really up here to keep me from freaking out.

"It's gunna be all right son," he said as he patted my shoulder and told me to take a deep breath.

The music started and I looked back towards the door to see that it was opening. Julie's mother ran through and headed towards her seat, trying not to be seen, that didn't work. The flower girl, Julie's five year old cousin, and the ring bearer, Pascal's son, Kody were told to go back and we were going to try this again. I laughed and shook my head, hearing Max stand up and yell 'take two, action'.

-Julie-

"You take care of my little girl," dad said as he walked me up to Sidney and kissed my cheek, shaking hands with Sidney.

"I will, sir," Sidney said and I smiled brightly towards him, "You look beautiful."

"Thank you, sorry we took so long, had a little incident," I giggled.

"I heard," he chuckled and then took my hand and laced his fingers with mine.

We turned to the priest and smiled towards him, he was a cute old man and I knew him when i use to attend this church, before everything happened, "Good to see you again, Julie," he whispered and I smiled and nodded my head

"Hello Father Daniels," I smiled.

"Shall we get started?" he asked and I looked at Sidney and we both smiled and nodded our heads.

"Please," Sidney whispered and then squeezed my hand.

Father Daniels started by asking who was giving me away, of course my parents stood up, my mom was crying, my dad was holding her, I was smiling. They answered with saying that they support the marriage and my smile was so bright that my cheeks were hurting. Father Daniels started to say welcoming words to all of the guests, asked if there was anyone here that would like to stop the wedding, there was no one, and then Father Daniels stated why we were here, "And I'd like to take the time to welcome a little boy named, Conner and hope that his spirit is watching over this lovely couple."

My eyes widened and I bit my lip, trying not to cry, '...That's so nice of him...' Sidney squeezed my hand and we looked at each other and smiled. I heard sniffling and looked passed Sidney to see that Geno had his hand on Josh's back and he was wiping his eyes, '...My poor baby...'

Father Daniels moved on giving us some advice about marriage, telling us how marriage is founded not just on romantic love, but also on respect, friendship and trust. He made sure to tell us that there will be a lot of challenges in life and I heard someone snort, probably Marc.

"Yeah, we can check that off the list," Sidney muttered and then chuckled and I smirked towards him.

"But there are also a lot of joys in marriage," Father Daniels said and I smiled and nodded my head. He opened his book and read some passages from the bible. Sidney and I turned towards each other and he held both of my hands, "Do you, Sidney Patrick Crosby, accept Julie Marie McHale as your lawfully wedded wife?"

"God yes- I do," Sidney smiled brightly, squeezing both of my hands and I giggled.

"And do you Julie Marie McHale, accept Sidney Patrick Crosby as your lawfully wedded husband?"

"I do," I smiled and tried not to bounce up and down, but I couldn't help myself.

"Now the rings," Father Daniels called and I smiled as Kody walked over and held the pillow up and Sidney and I both took the rings and handed them to Father Daniels.

"Can't believe we almost forgot those," Sidney muttered and I laughed a little.

"Can't have that," I smirked.

"Now repeat after me, Sidney," Father Daniels said and Sidney nodded his head, "I, Sidney Patrick Crosby," Sidney repeated, "take you, Julie Marie McHale, to be my wedded wife," he repeated, "to have and to hold from this day forward," he stubbed a little and it was so cute, I couldn't help but grin like a mad woman, "for better, for worse," he repeated, "for richer, for poorer," he repeated and rocked my arms back and forth, "in sickness and in health in joy and in sorrow," he repeated, "to love and to cherish, as long as we both shall live."

"...as long as we both shall live," Sidney repeated and flashing a toothy smile at me that made me giggle.

Father Daniels looked at me and had me repeat after him, "I, Julie Marie McHale," I repeated, "take you, Sidney Patrick Crosby, to be my wedded husband," I repeated, "to have and to hold from this day forward," I repeated, "for better, for worse," I repeated, "for richer, for poorer," I repeated and tried my hardest not to cry, "in sickness and in health in joy and in sorrow," I repeated and was losing my battle to not cry, "to love and to cherish, as long as we both shall live."

Father Daniels held up the rings and said a blessing and then explained what the rings symbolized. He handed each of us our rings and then turned to Sidney and told him to take my left hand and told him to repeat after me, "With this ring, I thee wed."

"With this ring, I thee wed," Sidney looked like a little kid in a candy shop as Father Daniels told him to place the ring on my ring finger. I choked out a cry and then felt a tear run down my cheek.

"Repeat after me Julie," Father Daniels said and I nodded my head and looked at Sidney.

"With this ring, I thee wed," I repeated and then placed the ring on Sidney's ring and then couldn't help myself and pressed my lips against his.

"Not yet," Father Daniels chuckled and I pulled away, blushing like crazy and hearing the guests laugh at me not able to control myself. He said some more words about being married and then smiled brightly, "I know you are excited for it, but usually it's tradition for the husband to start," Father Daniels teased and I smirked and shook my head, "Sidney, you may kiss your bride."

I heard some of the guys howling as Sidney stepped closer, placed his hand on my neck and then pressed his lips against mine. I smiled as I cupped his face and felt his other hand wrap around my waist.

"Keep it PG," Father Daniels whispered and I laughed as Sidney pulled away, face red.

"Who lost control now?" I teased and Sidney shrugged his shoulders.

"Face your guests," he whispered and Sidney and I turned around, he was still chuckling and smiling brightly at me attacking him, my face was still hot, "I like to be the first to announce, Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Crosby!"
