I re-read the invitation making sure I put in the right address in the GPS;10 Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA.

"Come on, work," I said to the GPS as if it would understand me.

Finally after about twenty minutes of searching it was able to tell me which path to take, only eleven hours to go.

Pulling my phone out of my purse I decided to call my crew. Dialing Jenna's number I waited,

"Hello?" she answered.

"Hey it's just me checking in. Have you and the boys left yet?"

"Yes ma'am we're on our way. We just hopped onto I-95."

"Okay, and you guys have the right address? 10 Huntington Avenue?"

"Yes ma'am."

"Alright, just making sure. Drive safe and keep those boys in line."

"Will do ma'am."

"Alright, buh-bye now."

"Bye."

Plugging my phone into its charger I turned the volume up on my radio. This was going to be a long ride.

***

"Son of a bitch!" I yelled as yet another car cut me off as I was trying to make it over to my exit, "Come on! I need to get over there!" I yelled honking my horn. People weren't kidding when they said people from this state were assholes. In the forty-five minutes I had been in the state I had almost gotten into four accidents. This was ridiculous.

Finally making my way over to the exit ramp I grew frustrated with my GPS, it was telling me to tun left at a one way street. Following the street signs I struggled to make my way through town, turning every two feet it seemed. Damn, did this town have enough lights?

After twenty minutes of re-direction I found myself in front of the Westin Hotel. Parking my car I got out and made my way inside.

"Hello ma'am, how may I help you this evening?"

"Hi, my name is Renee Semkowitz and I am supposed to be catering a Boston Bruins event," I said showing her the invitation.

"Ahh, yes. Your room has been reserved for you already."

"It has?" I asked surprised.

"Yes ma'am, you are a complimentary member for the Bruins and they have taken care of all the arrangements."

"Alright," I said as she handed me my invitation back.

"You are in room 117 and we will have a valet park your car."

"Oh, okay, let me just grab my things."

"Certainly ma'am and we hope you enjoy your stay here at the Westin. If you need anything, feel free to call the desk, we're here twenty-four hours."

"Okay, thank you," I said taking my room key and heading back out to my car to grab my things, maybe this wouldn't be as bad as I originally thought.

Making my way to room 117, I slid the key into the slot and a green light came on, signaling me to open it. Walking into the room I was thoroughly impressed.

The walls were cream colored with a big window on the far wall overlooking the city, similar to the one in Kris's apartment.

That reminds me, I have to call Kris.

Digging into the depths of my purse I located my phone and dialed the familiar number.

"Hello?"

"Hey babe, it's me."

"Hey beautiful, how's it going? Did you make it to Boston okay?"

"Yeah, but let me tell you, Mass drivers are fucking idiots. I almost got intofour accidents trying to get to my exit. Then practically all of the roads are one way streets, but the GPS was telling me to go the opposite," I could hear him laughing through the receiver. "It's not funny," I said pouting.

"It is a little babe. Honestly, that would be your luck."

Sighing I replied, "Yeah, I guess. What are you doing?"

"Sitting here watching NHL Network, then grabbing a bite to eat with Jordan later."

"Sounds like fun."

"Yeah, I guess. I miss you."

"I miss you too, I think I'm going to go for now. I'm kind of tired, I think I might take a nap before the crew gets here."

"Okay baby. I love you."

"I love you too, tell Jordan I say hi."

"Alright baby. I'll text you later when I get home."

"Okay."

Hanging up my phone I laid down on the queen sized bed and flipped the plasma television on. I couldn't sleep in silence, I always had to have something on that made some sort of noise.

A couple hours later, which seemed like five minutes, I heard a knock at my door. Walking over to it, I looked through the peephole. It was a tall man, well over six feet and wide eyes.

"Can I help you?" I asked looking up at the man.

"Are you Renee?"

"Yes," I said folding my arms over my chest.

"Nice to meet you, I am Zdeno Chara, the captain of the Boston Bruins," he said extending his hand out to me.

He had a gentle touch for such a giant man, "Nice to meet you."

"I'm sorry to interrupt, but I just wanted to welcome you to Boston on behalf of my team. This event is a big deal for us and we are thrilled to have you help us cater it. We've heard a lot of great things about you from around the league."

The league knew about me? Damn I really was getting around.

"Oh, it's no problem at all. It's my job and I'm doing what I love," I said smiling.

"If anyone understands that feeling it's me," he said looking down at me, "Well, I should be going. Have a good night."

"Thank you, you as well." I said as he walked down the hallway and into, what I assumed must be his suite.

Well, there's no going back to sleep now,I thought to myself. Walking back over to the edge of the bed I picked up my cell phone and dialed Jenna.

"Hello?"she answered.

"Hey Jenna, Renee. Just wondering how everything is going? Are you finding your way alright?"

"Yes ma'am. We are just pulling around the back of the hotel now."

"Oh, great. I'll meet you downstairs then."

"Alright ma'am."

Sliding my phone shut I threw on a pair of sneakers and headed towards the elevator. Reaching it I looked up to find it was on the first floor. Pressing the down button, I waited. A minute or so later the doors slid open and I was almost knocked over by a group of guys messing around. Just as I started falling backwards I felt a hand catch mine and pull me up.

" Really guys?" a tall, handsome dark haired man said helping me stand, "Sorry about that, they're a little reckless sometimes."

"You need to teach those guys some respect," I said looking up. He had to be well over six feet. Was everyone here this tall?

"I'll try," he said smiling at me, "I'm Milan, Milan Lucic."

"I'm Renee, Renee Semkowitz," I stuttered, he had the most intriguing smile.

"Renee Semkowitz, as in the caterer from Pittsburgh?"

"Guilty," Holy shit, everyone really did know me here.

"You're catering the Casino Night tomorrow for my team. It's nice to finally meet you."

"Oh, you play for the Bruins?"

Smiling at me, he nodded, "Guilty."

"Ahh, so you are someone I should be staying away from?" I said smiling.

"Pardon?" he asked looking puzzled.

"My boyfriend, he plays for the Pittsburgh Penguins, Kris Letang."

"Oh, so really I should be sending a death wish out in your name. Our team still hasn't forgiven Cooke for what he did to Savvy."

"I'm aware, so let's just keep that little secret between us," I said smiling. What was I doing? Why was I flirting with this guy, I didn't know him and he was my boyfriend's enemy.

"Alright, it will be our little secret." he said smiling, leaving me captivated, again.

"Well, I should be going," he spoke, interrupting my thoughts.

"Yeah, me too. I have to go meet my crew around back. It was nice meeting you," I said rushing into the elevator and selecting the ground level. He stood there and waved until the doors shut and I was dropped four stories.

How did I not know who he was? That was so stupid of me! I should have known. That means those guys that ran me over were most likely a part of the Bruins as well. Lovely. So in a matter of three hours i had managed to run into half of the team and flirt with one of them.

I realize it is an older story and I'm sorry for seeming snarky but it is very frustrating to read these stories, find that they aren't finished and then realize that they probably will never be!

This is an older story, but I could potentially post an update sometime soon :) I wasn't sure any of these stories still got any foot traffic, so any updates have fallen by the wayside.

So I guess it's safe to assume this will never be updated?
