Second Chances

Victoria.
“You’re dating Jeff.” I laughed a bit as I scrolled through my twitter feed. My head shot up as I realized she didn’t reply. We stared at her as a smile tugged at her lips.
“No.” We yelled in unison.
“Before you kill me let me explain!” She quickly put her hands up to defend herself from the empty cup I was ready to throw at her.
I put down my cup as I waited for Faith to explain how she had been secretly dating Jeff without telling her best friends.
“He asked me out about a month after Sid’s party, and he wanted to keep it a secret to save me from the hate I would receive. I wanted to tell you guys but we both weren’t ready to come clean.” She explained.
“Sid’s party! That was 5 months ago!” Keirstyn yelled before punching Faith’s arm. She winced in pain as she rubbed the spot Keirstyn had punched.
“I’m pissed.” Steph announced.
“Too bad no one cares.” Autumn smirked. Steph glared at her not bothering to reply.
“I saw it coming,” I spoke breaking the tension, “Jeff practically fell in love with you the moment he saw you and you were both living in Carolina, it was bound to happen.” I explained.
“So you don’t hate me?” She asked shyly.
“No, we do, but we’re happy for you.” Steph reassured. I checked the time on my phone not realizing we had been here so long.
“Shit! I have to go, I was supposed to head over to Geno’s an hour ago,” I began cleaning up the mess I had made, “Autumn, do you want to come?”
“Why would I want to come?” She asked.
“Sidney’s going to be there.” I teased. I quickly threw my things in the garbage and then grabbed my bag.
“I really do need to talk to him,” she contemplated, “Fine.” She got up from her seat and grabbed her things.
We said our goodbyes as we made our way over to my car. Truth be told, I invited Autumn because I was still nervous about being alone with Geno. I was also hoping her and Sid would finally come to their senses and date each other.


I lightly knocked on the door before walking in, Sid poked his head out from the kitchen and smiled once he saw me, his smiled widened as Autumn walked in behind me.
“Hey Tori, Geno’s upstairs, unless you’re here for me.” He winked.
I laughed a bit as I kicked off my shoes, “No, but Autumn is.” I pushed her towards him before dashing up the stairs so Autumn didn’t have a chance at hurting me.
“Bitch.” She yelled.
I laughed.
I made my way over to Evgeni’s room, I knew my way around every inch of this place, even though it had been so long since I last stepped foot in here. I walked into his room and smiled as I saw him laying in bed watching hockey highlights on tv.
“How are you feeling?” I asked as I climbed into his bed and lay beside him.
“Better, you here.” He grinned before kissing my forehead. He wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me closer.
“G, we need to talk.” I sighed not wanting to bring this up but knowing I had to.
“What I do?” He frowned.
“Nothing!” I reassured, “We need to talk about us, what’s going to happen between us?”
“You my girlfriend again.” He smiled before quickly pecking my lips.
“Is it that simple?” I asked.
I was clearly over thinking everything.
He nodded his head, “I love.”
“I love you too,” I cuddled into his chest closer, “So much.”
“I miss much.” He played with my hair another thing I had missed about Evgeni Malkin.
“I missed you even more.” I admitted something I had spent months trying to hide.
I didn’t have to hide my feelings anymore, Geno was back and he was mine and I was his just like it used to be. I had lost every bit of hope of us getting back together, but here I was lying in his bed with his arms wrapped around me. If you had told me only 2 days before today that we’d get back together I’d call you delusional. There really was nothing I wanted more than to be back with Geno.
“I thought you’d give up on me, you’d find someone prettier, smarter, funnier, skinnier, someone who was better than me, someone who made you happier.” I spoke.
“Never!” He grabbed my face looking me straight in the eyes, “No one make me happier like you.”
He locked his lips with mine and pulled me on top of him, I straddled his waist while grinding my hips into him. I ran my fingers through his hair as our lips moved in sync.
I was distracted by a loud groan that echoed throughout the whole house, we looked at each other and laughed.
“Finally!” We both yelled loud enough for Sid and Autumn to hear us.
“Shut up!” Autumn yelled.
“Watch your mouth; you need that for something else!” I yelled back. I rolled off of Geno and lay beside him.
“Thank for no.. giving up..” he struggled with his words, “on me.” He finished with a smile.
“Never.” I smiled before kissing his lips.
“Come back, been too long.” He grabbed me and pulled me back onto him before attaching his lips back to mine.
It has been too long.
