Can I Trust You?

(GRACIE POV)

I was so excited that Sid agreed to come over for dinner tonight. I know that they have some road trips coming up and then the Olympics next month. I just wanna spend some time with him.

I'm suddenly broken out of my thoughts when I hear my phone ring.
"Hello?"
"Hey girl!" I heard Lilly say.
"Hey Lilly, what's up?"
"Nothing much. What are you up to?"
"Making dinner. Sid's coming over tonight," I smiled.
"Wow. You two have been inseparable lately"
"Same with you and Beau"
"I know. He's so amazing! I can see myself falling for him," I could hear the smile in her voice.
"I feel the same way about Sid. Although I believe I'm already on my way to falling head over heals for him. That's what scares me"
"Why are you scared? Is it because of what happened with Jason?"
"Yes. The same thing happened with Jason. I started falling in love right away, and got my heart broken. I'm setting myself up for heart break again with Sid. I'm afraid Sid will go out and cheat on me like Jason did. You can't really blame me for feeling that way"

(LILLY POV)

I feel so bad for Gracie. Ever since Jason, she hasn't been able to open up her heart to anybody. I know she's pretty much opening her heart up to Sid. I know she's also falling in love with him. She didn't have to tell me, I could tell just by the way she talks about him and how she acts just hearing about him. It's obvious Sid and Gracie are falling in love with each other.

"Gracie I think you know deep down that Sid isn't like that"
"I know but I still get scared. I mean can you blame me for being insecure? He could have anyone in the city, country, hell even Canada. Why pick me when he could be with a fucking model?"
"Because he's in love with you too! We all can see it! Why don't you talk to Sid about this?" I suggested.
"Good poi..... wait he's here. I gotta go"
"Good luck, bye"

I'm a little worried that she might do something and ruin the best thing that has ever happened to her. And that thing is Sid.

(GRACIE POV)

I'm really nervous. I didn't realize I was holding all of that in until I told Lilly. I really like Sid, and I'm falling in love with him. I don't wanna get my heart broken and I don't wanna break his.

After hanging up with Lilly, I take a couple of deep breaths before opening the door.
"Hey Sid," I forced as good a smile as I could get.
"Hey baby. You okay?" he asked in a concerned tone.
"I'm fine. C'mon in," I let him in.
After Sid took his jacket and shoes off, he turned to me and gave me a hug and a peck on the lips.
"I missed you baby," he said with a smile.
"I missed you too stud," I smiled while playing with his hair. "C'mon lets go eat. Dinner's ready"

"Damn baby you went all out didn't you?" he smirked.
"I know I made a lot. I figured you'd be hungry after practice and all that. You can take some home later if you want?" I said sheepishly.
"I would love to take some home baby," he smiled before kissing my cheek.
"Ok lets eat"

After I put our plates together, we went into the dining room and sat down. He automatically dug in to his dinner.
"Ok I don't know how you still manage to think you're bad at cooking. This is fucking delicious," he said while still eating.
"So you like it?"
"I love it. You're definitely giving me some to take home"
"Okay," I smiled

Throughout dinner, Sid kept moaning and giving me compliments. All it was, was a steak with a baked potato and some mixed vegetables. We also kept us conversation. He had even told me the rest of what happened when he got to practice this morning.

I must have zoned out at some point when I was done because Sid was behind me rubbing my shoulders and said, "You okay beautiful? You're really quiet"
"Yea. Just lost in my thoughts I guess," I smiled reassuringly.
"Alright c'mon. I'll help you clean up and get together the food I'm taking home. Then we can watch some TV," he smiled.
"Alright"

(SID POV)

Dinner was amazing. She's an unbelievable cook. I could kinda get used to this. Her and I having dinner together that's cooked by one of us. Having dinner just with each other.

After we cleaned up, we went into the living room and cuddled on the couch watching gamecenter. Sometimes we would sneak in little kisses here and there. I'm really falling in love with this girl.

I want someone to come home to after games and road trips. Someone who will put up with my shit. She can cheer me up after a tough loss, celebrate after a big win. And I want that girl to be Gracie.

"Hey baby?" I asked her.
"Yea?"
"Were you okay earlier when I got here? When you opened the door you looked a little upset. I was a little concerned."
"I had just gotten off the phone with Lilly. I was having an insecure girl moment. Don't worry about it," she looked at me with pleading eyes. I kept looking at her eyes looking for what I wanted but couldn't.
"Insecure about what? You know you can tell me anything," I rubbed her back.
"I know. I just don't know how you will react to this"
Now that scared me. "Tell me what's wrong baby"
"I had confessed to Lilly all my fears about being in this relationship with you. Don't take it the wrong way though. It's just ever since Jason, I've been hesitant about relationships. I'm always scared that whoever I'm with is gonna cheat on me or abuse me. Now with you the feelings are greater. You're you and you have girls all over the country and Canada that would do anything for a chance with you. You can have anybody. Why me? There's a million prettier girls then me. I..."
"Stop," I said a little frustrated.
"You wanted to know. I knew I shouldn't have told you because I had a feeling you would react like this"

"Because you shouldn't have those insecurities! You should trust me to be loyal to you forever and always! I'm not gonna cheat on you. I'm not gonna abuse you because no man should ever lay a hand on woman. I'm gonna treat you like a princess because you deserve the world. You deserve every beautiful thing life has to offer. Including love. I'm already in love with you and it sounds like you're ending this. I don't want you to end this, ok? Like I said, I'm in love with you and I think you are too, and I can see us going all the way," I rushed out. I also froze when I realized i just confessed my love for her.
"Yo-you love me?" she asked with tears in her eyes. I couldn't tell if they were happy, confused or sad tears. I walked over to her and enveloped her into my arms.
"Yes I love you. I'm so in love with you it hurts. I think about you every second of every day. Whether I'm with you or not, I'm always thinking of you"
"I-I love you too Sid. Literally, just as much as you love me or even more. I don't wanna be without you"
"I love you (kiss) I love you (kiss) I love you (kiss)" I heard her giggle and saw her blush.
"And you're also the most beautiful girl in the world. I know that I can have any girl in the world that I want, but the girl I want is you. I know it's still early in our relationship to say all this but I love you and I can see us going all the way," I smiled.
"I do too. And I love you too," she smiled right before kissing me.

I could have climbed to the roof and shouted that she loved me, I was so happy. I couldn't help but deepen the kiss. We poured so much love into it that I didn't think we would ever stop. But unfortunately, we had to come up for air eventually. When we did, I just kept kissing down her neck hearing her moan my name.

I couldn't control myself at that point. I backed her up to the couch and laid us down. When I was on top of her, we instantly reconnected our lips. I could feel myself growing harder after every moan from her. This was starting to get heated fast, very fast.

"Wait Sid?" she said stopping my attack on her neck.
"What's wrong baby? You ok?" I asked concerned.

(GRACIE POV)

Oh god what's happening right now? I'm not ready to have sex right now! I'm a virgin! I'm not ready yet. Yes I want my first time to be with Sid, but I'm not ready yet.

"I'm not ready to have sex yet Sid. I'm sorry," I said on the verge of tears.
"Shh. Baby its ok. I'm sorry I started that. I WL wait as long as you want. Don't apologize," he said with a small smile to reassure me out was going to be ok.
"Sid I haven't had sex at all before. That's why I'm not ready. Its because I'm a virgin," I said shyly.
"Baby I'm not mad. Like I said I'll wait for you as long as you want. I'll wait forever because you're the one I want. Nobody else sweetie. I love you"
"I love you too. And thank you. You're the greatest man in the world"
"You're welcome sweetie. C'mon, it's past midnight. I know you have work tomorrow and I have morning skate before the game tomorrow so I gotta head home," he said while getting up, then helping me up. I just pouted because I didn't want him to go.
"Are you able to stay the night or is like a superstition that you have to stay at home?" I asked with a teasing smile.
"Haha you're funny. How bout this? I will stay here until you fall asleep, then I will head home? How's that sound?"
"I think that sounds perfect"

"Oh I forgot to ask you about this earlier. Do you wanna come to the game tomorrow night? It's a 7:00 game"
"Yes I can come. Wait I don't have tickets"
"Um honey. You're dating the captain of the team. I can get you tickets. And I think Beau is inviting Lilly so you won't be alone. Then you can come down to the locker room and meet the guys"
"Sounds like a plan. Well I'm going to get ready for bed"
"Alright let me know when you're ready and I'll come be with you until you fall asleep"
"K"

When I got up to my room, I went in my bathroom with some shorts and a t-shirt. Even though it's winter, it's not that bad out so I'm wearing shorts. I brushed my teeth and my hair before washing face, then put lotion on and got dressed.

When I walked out, I saw Sid walk in my bedroom with a weird look on his face. "Baby? Sid are you ok? What's wrong?"
"Mario called. I have to go to his place. Like now. I'm sorry. He said he wants to talk to me about something right away. I can't wait until you fall asleep. I'm soo sorry baby. He wants to go over something before morning skate tomorrow."
"Hey it's okay. It's probably for the team and you're the captain. Go. Don't worry I understand. Do you want me to walk you out?"
"No I'm still gonna tuck you in and say goodnight. Okay? Now get into bed," he said pointing at the bed with a playful stern look on his face. I just giggled at him and obeyed.

After getting in bed, Sid came over and kissed me. We made out for a good few minutes before he pulled away. "I should get going," he said.
"I know. Have fun! I love you"
"I will never get tired of hearing that from you and saying it to you. I love you too baby. I'll see you tomorrow night. Your ticket will be at will call. Just have you're ID and you'll be good to go," he smiled.
"Okay handsome. See you tomorrow night" He kissed me one last time before leaving to head to Mario's.

To be honest I'm nervous about meeting the team and Mario tomorrow after the game. I'm nervous they will think that I'm a puck bunny after Sid's money and I'm not. Although, I don't know if I'm more nervous about meeting the team and Mario or meeting his parents and sister.

Those were my last thoughts before I finally fell asleep.

(SID POV)

When I got to Mario's, I walked into the kitchen to see Nathalie in there.
"Hey Nat," I said softly, not wanting to scare her.
"Hey Sid. How are you?" she said giving me a hug.
"I'm good. Just came straight here from Gracie's. How are you?" I said returning the hug.
"I'm good. Mario is in his office waiting for you"
"Okay thanks Nat"

Walking into his office, I saw him at his desk looking at stuff with a frustrated look on his face. I had lightly knocked on the door before walking in.
"Hey Sid," Mario sighed.
"Hey Mario. What's going on?"
"Ray is starting to think about the trade deadline that comes up in a couple months in March. I also remember you wanted to tell me something about tomorrow night"
Here goes. "Yea. Um, I've been seeing someone this past week and I invited her to the game tomorrow. After the game I invited her to come down to the locker room to meet the team. She already knows Beau because when we met, her friend Lilly and Beau started going out," I rushed out.
"And you want me to meet her?" he asked with a small smile.
"Yea. I mean you're like a second dad to me. I really like her. In fact I'm in love with her. We just established that this evening, because she loves me back. I know it's early, but I can see a possible future with her. She also understands hockey because she loves the Pens. She grew up watching you play. She also loves the Pirates and Steelers. Hell, she even works at Dick's Sporting Goods that's how big of a sports fan she is"

When I looked at Mario, I saw him smiling at me with that proud dad type of smile. Okay, now I'm confused. "What?"
"Since I've known you, the only thing you talked about with that passion and that look in your eye, is hockey. I've never seen you talk about a girl like that. Even previous relationships you've had in the league, never like this. I can see that you really love her," he kept smiling at me.
"I do. I really love her. I just wanna treat her like a princess because she's so special and perfect to me. I also don't wanna fuck this up when it comes down to her and hockey"
"Then don't. If you need any advice about balancing a relationship with hockey, you can come to me. And I would love to meet her tomorrow Sid. Are you having her sit in your box or the stands?"
"Stands. I don't wanna put all that pressure on her yet with all the chaos that goes on at the arena."
"Good idea Sid. Alright, if that's everything, I'll see you tomorrow"
"Yup that was everything. See you tomorrow. Night"
"Night Sid"

I can't wait for tomorrow even though I'm nervous. I was kinda expecting that relationship to go a different way with that topic. Let's get this show on the road and get tomorrow started already.
