Alive

The girls sat around Kristen's room, besides Kaitlyn, and obviously Selena. Kaitlyn was with Patrick. She was usually with Patrick. The other girls didn't mind because it was keeping Pat out of trouble. Everyone was fully aware of their couple status. Patrick had realized his mistakes and was doing everything in his power to make it up to her. When Kaitlyn was with the girls, she tried her hardest to avoid the discussion of Patrick. He always came up, but she was never the reason. The girls were happy for her and for him. The girls were glad they had found each other.
For Ainsley, things weren't as good. Sleeping with Sidney was probably something she dreamed of since middle school and she finally did it. The part that bothered her was how he had acted as it they were an item the night of the party, but only in front of Kristen. She could tell he didn't want others to know. She tried to not let it bother her, since plenty of her hook ups ignored her, but it felt different with Sid. It probably didn't help that she was around him everyday for twelve hours at the least. He acted like nothing even happened. That might have been the thing that pissed her off the most.
Kristen had tried to do some growing up. After hearing what Valerie had said to all of them about Selena, she had done some thinking. She knew it was true. At the end of the day, they were all a bunch of teenage brats who hated one another for being a teenage brat. Beau's input probably helped her thought process as well. She realized she was driving her brother up the wall and that she needed to change something, somehow.
"I think I'm done with guys." Kristen spoke, breaking the silence.
"Like, you're switching teams?" Ainsley furrowed her brows, looking at the girl beside her.
"No, like, I'm done with hooking up with anyone and everyone." Kristen explained. "I'm not really into that anymore. I don't like it."
"Really?" Felicia laughed. "Because you sucked a dick in the back of a classroom."
Sidney overheard the discussion as he walked to his room with sandwich. He froze, pressing his ear to the door. He continued to listen while the girls laughed at Kristen.
"Okay, but that was before." Kristen rolled her eyes.
"You've done just as much as me. Don't play innocent." Ainsley spat.
"Maybe more." Kaitlyn smirked.
"Yeah, I don't think you ever fucked someone in a change room." Valerie pointed out.
"On your brother's stall!" Jocelyn exclaimed.
The door flew open. All eyes shifted to a very angry, nearly ill, Sidney Crosby. His jaw was dropped and his eyes were wide. Kristen stared at him with the same expression. He walked into her room. Everyone watched him in silence. His hand raised as he pointed a finger at her.
"Y-you," He took a deep breath. "On my stall, Kristen?" He yelled.
"I didn't m,"
"But you did!" He shouted.
"Hey, could've been in your bed." Ainsley tried to ease the tension.
He looked at her. The anger that had built up faded when he met eyes with Ainsley. She felt uneasy. They hadn't spoke since Val's party, almost two weeks prior. He knew he was avoiding her to prevent any feelings from growing, but he also knew it was too late for that. Ainsley took a deep breath and looked away from him. She was uncomfortable. Jocelyn took note of it.
"What the hell was that?" She called out.
"Was what?" Sidney asked, slowly looking away from Ainsley and to Jocelyn.
"The sudden calm that came over you when you saw Ains. What is that?" She questioned.
Did something happen there?" Valerie piped up.
"No." Ainsley said, shaking her head.
Sidney took another looked at her before he looked back to Kristen. "With Bennett?"
"Yeah. I was upset about Nathan and we just," She trailed, not wanting to explain.
"My linemate?" He laughed. "You fucked my linemate. What kind of sister does that?"
"You fucked my best friend!" Kristen screeched, shooting up.
Ainsley's eyes went wide. Jocelyn's jaw dropped. Kaitlyn began to piece it together. Felicia laughed obnoxiously. Valerie sat in silent shock. Ainsley stood, taking a deep breath. Kristen and Sidney went into a screaming match.
"The difference being, I didn't fuck Beau and act like it never happened!" Kristen hissed as she shoved Sid.
Ainsley stepped in, shoving Sidney out of the room. He walked backwards, still yelling as she guided him out. She pulled the door shut beside them. He growled, avoiding eye contact with her.
"I'm sorry Kristen blabbed about us but you have no right to be mad at her." Ainsley crossed her arms.
"Why don't I?" He chuckled.
"Because, believe it or not, she's actually into Beau." She explained. "And, she was talking about how she didn't want to be that girl anymore."
"I'm just upset that it was Beau." He admitted.
"And she's not upset about you and I?" She scoffed.
"That's diff,"
"Yeah, because Beau didn't fuck her over." She laughed, turning away from him.
He grabbed her wrist to stop her. She rolled her eyes as she turned to face him. He looked down at her while she looked at him with pure annoyance across her face.
"Ainsley, I don't regret what happened with us." He stated.
"You don't?" She furrowed her brows. He nodded. "Could've fooled me."
"C'mon, you know why I'm being how I am." He sighed.
"Do I?"
"Marc would kill me if he knew I was into you." Sidney told her.
Ainsley laughed in his face. "But he'd be a-okay with knowing you fucked me and then pretended you never knew me before that?"
"Don't say that." He begged.
"But that's what you're doing, Sidney." She shook her head.
"We just wouldn't work." He sighed.
"But you haven't tried! You can't decide that before you try." She rolled her eyes.
She walked into Kristen's room, closing the door carefully. She smiled at her friends and sat down next to Kristen on her bed. Jocelyn smirked at Ainsley.
"Nice make out sesh?" Felicia called on her.
"No. Just told him off." Ainsley shrugged.
"God, he's such an asshole." Kristen hissed.
