Chapter Sixty Four

"Wow Kat, you think you got a big enough truck?" Sidney asked as I pulled into my driveway and saw him sitting on the front steps.

"No, the one I wanted wasn't there, and I need a truck so I had to settle with this," I said as I walked over towards him and heard him chuckle, "What's up?"

"I just out of lifting," he said as we walked into the house, "Where is everyone?"

"Dana went down to North Carolina, and Tyler went home to Boston for a little bit," I said as I walked into the kitchen and grabbed a bottle of water out of the fridge.

"So we're all by ourselves?" Sidney asked and I looked towards him and smirked.

"Well, other than the dogs and horses, then ye-" his lips were on mine before I could finish the sentence.

Sidney had propped me up onto the counter and stepped in-between my legs, his hands on my thighs and mine on his neck. As I felt Sidney's hands move higher, I heard whining and saw Sidney step back and look down to see Baxter trying to jump back and see him.

"Someone missed you," I laughed as I hopped off of the counter and saw Daisy trotting over.

"They got so big!" Sidney said and I nodded my head.

"Ok guys, we'll be back," I said and Sidney looked at me confused.

"We will?"

"Yes," I said and then grabbed his shirt and started to pull him out of the kitchen and towards the stairs.

"We will!" he said and then rushed up the stairs.

-Sidney-

"I don't want to move," Kat whined and I chuckled and laced my fingers with hers and saw her adjust the sheet around her.

"So then don't," I said as I moved onto my side, slid my arm under Kat's neck and draped an arm around her waist.

"Do you want to go and check up on the horses then?" she asked as she looked up towards me and smirked.

"No, not really, too cold outside," I said and she smirked and shook her head.

"Baby," she teased and I smirked and watched as she sat up.

"Don't go," I said and she turned around, tying the sheet around her.

"I have to, I'll be right back," she said and then pressed her lips onto mine and then quickly got changed and left the room.

I sighed and then rolled onto my back and stared up at the ceiling. It was quiet in the house, I heard the back door close and I could hear Kat calling her dogs' names. I looked over towards the clock next to the bed and saw that it was just after six, I was hungry.

I got up and threw my boxers on and then walked over towards her dresser because I knew that I had some sweat pants here. I opened the top drawer and saw that it was her underwear drawer. I've seen the girl naked, but the sight of her underwear draw made my blush like crazy. I quickly closed the drawer and moved to the next one to see that some of my clothes were there.

I took out sweats and a t-shirt and threw them on, then walking out of the room and downstairs towards the kitchen. I raided her fridge and saw that she had barely anything to eat. I sighed and then looked through the top drawer next to her fridge to see take out menus.

'...Pizza or Chinese?...' I thought as I looked through all of the menus.

After what felt like forever, the back door opened and two wet German Shepherds ran into the kitchen and tried to jump on me. I told them down, but like they would listen to me.

"What are you doing?" Kat asked as she walked into the kitchen.

"I'm hungry and you have no food," I said and she giggled and walked over towards the fridge and opened it.

"Yeah, you're right, what do you want?"

"Pizza or Chinese?" I asked as I held up both of the menus.

"Chinese!" she said and I smirked and threw the pizza menu back into the drawer and looked over the Chinese menu.

I leaned against the counter and read everything over and then felt Kat come up behind me and wrap her arms around my waist and stick her hands under my shirt, "COLD!" I yelled and jumped up.

She laughed and I turned around, grapping her hands and pulling them out. I smirked and shook my head seeing her smiling brightly at me.

"Do you know what you want?" I asked and she nodded her head and told me her order. I called the place up and had it delivered, "It'll be here within a half hour," I said as I hung up with the restaurant and seeing Kat walking out of the kitchen, "Where are you going?"

I followed after her to see that she was walking into the living room. She sat on the couch and turned the TV on, flipping through the channels and then stopping at the comedy channel when seeing that the comedian, Jeff Dunham was on.

"I'd like see him live," she said as I sat down next to her and wrapped my arm around her shoulder.

"Really? The puppet man?" I laughed and she smirked and shook her head.

"He's funny," Kat said and I shook my head.

"Whatever you say."

The food had finally come and we ate our Chinese and watched three Jeff Dunham movies. I found out that Kat had seen them like ten times so she knew what he was going to say some times and would ruin it for me.

After we ate our food and watched the movies, Kat did one last check on the horses and we went to bed.

"Kat!"

My eyes widened and I moved out of the way as player after player made their way into my house, "What the hell did you do? Drive a bus here?"

"Yeah, your brother drove!" Jordan said as he slung his arm around my shoulder, "How are you feeling?"

"You trusted my brother to drive a bus here? Did he hit anything? And I'm fine."

"Ha Ha Ha, very funny Kat," Zach said as he came up to be and kissed my cheek, "How are you?"

"I'm fine, what are you guys doing here?"

"The hotel that we're staying at won't let us into our rooms until after three, well, we have six hours to kill so I said lets come here," Zack said and I smirked and shook my head.

"Sure, come here when you could have gone to the rink and got some practice in."

"But I wanted to see my baby sister," he said and I rolled my eyes, "Where's Dana?"

"She just got home yesterday and you act like you haven't seen her in years!" I laughed and he scoffed, "She's in her room."

"Perfect!" he said and then trotted off and I shook my head.

"How are you Kat?" Eric Staal asked as he walked over towards me and hugged me.

"You're the Captain, you're in charge of making sure no one destroys my house," I said and he smirked and nodded my head.

It's been two days and the Hurricanes were here because they had an afternoon game against the Penguins tomorrow. Most of them crowded into my living room and took over my TV, well some of the crazy ones, Jordan, Jeff Skinner, Justin Faulk, Jiri Tlusty, Zack Boychuk, Jamie McBain and Riley Nash decided that they were going to raid my garage and take some of the quads, dirt bikes and go-karts out for a ride on the paths.

I ended up texting Sidney and telling him that the Hurricanes were here, he responded with, [We're on our way]

'...God more people...' I whined and then walked over towards the couch and sat on the armrest next to Cam Ward to see that the guys were watching the recap of last night's games, '...Of course...'

About a half hour later, my front door opened and I heard people laughing. I turned my head and most of the Penguins walking into my house, Sidney leading the gang. I smirked and shook my head as they laughed and walked into the living room.

"What's up guys?!" Kris asked as he walked over.

Eric told them their situation with the hotel and Sidney walked over towards me and sat next to me on the armrest. Kris asked where some of the other players where and I smirked.

"They're in the fields riding some of the bikes," I said and then Kris, Tyler, Geno, James, Marc and a few other walked down the hallway and out the back door, "Typical, only use me for my toys."

The guys laughed and Eric patted my shoulder, "Zach's idea."

"Of course it is."
