Cold As Ice

This Isn't A Date

Pat followed Jon into the bathroom whining about where he was going and who he’d be with, “I’m going to Tim Hortons with Sam!” Jon finally gave in; he couldn’t handle another second of Pat’s whining.
“The chick from last night?” Jon rolled his eyes and nodded his head as he fixed his shirt, he looked in the mirror and smirked to himself, he looked good.
“What am I supposed to do all day?” Pat groaned as he walked out and plopped down onto Jon’s bed, Jon turned to look at his friend feeling a bit sorry for him, he got out his phone and sent Sam a text asking if Pat could join them.
Sam sent a text back saying it was fine and that she could bring a friend so Patrick wouldn’t be third wheeling, he texted her back thanking her and then told Pat the news.
“Is her friend hot?” He asked, Jon shrugged his shoulders not knowing; Pat shrugged not caring if she was or not, he just wanted to get out of the hotel room. He got up from Jon’s bed and rushed over to his suitcase, he needed to get dressed.
Sam walked into the Tim Hortons with Kenzie following behind her; she looked around trying to spot Jon and smiled once she saw him waving them over. She looked over her shoulder at Kenzie who was clearly nervous; she had to practically beg Kenzie to come with her.
Jon and Pat got up from the table as the girls approached them, Jon leaned over and kissed Sam’s cheek before introducing him and Pat to Kenzie. Kenzie looked over at Pat and immediately stopped regretting she came, her blue eyes lit up as his eyes met hers.
“I’m Kenzie.” She introduced herself and extended her hand towards him, he took her hand and instead of shaking it he lifted it up and kissed it.
“I have never seen him do that.” Jon teased, Pat looked over at him and shot him a glare, Kenzie retrieved her hand back and looked at the floor as her cheeks began to burn.
“Jon and I will go get drinks.” Sam announced before grabbing his hand and leading him over to the line, she looked over at Kenzie and Pat who were now sitting beside each other talking about God knows what.
She looked up at Jon and smiled, “I think they’re hitting it off.” Jon looked over at the two of them and smiled.
“Come on.” Jon wrapped his arm around Sam’s waist as he guided her to the counter; he ordered their drinks and then brought them back to the table with the help of Sam of course.
“You did not!” Kenzie laughed, Pat nodded his head as he tried to keep himself from laughing.
“Are you telling her about your drunken adventures?” Jon asked as he handed each of them their drinks, Pat nodded with a grin on his face.
“He told me about you too,” Kenzie giggled, “Like that time in Vegas where you passed out with your-“ Pat quickly covered Kenzie’s mouth to stop her from talking.
“Do I even want to know?” Sam asked as she raised an eyebrow looking over at Jon whose cheeks were beginning to brighten.
He shook his head no, “We agreed to never talk about that Kaner.” Jon glared at him as Pat didn’t dare to make eye contact with him. He moved his hand away from Kenzie’s mouth and took a sip of his coffee.
“You know Kenzie’s from Vegas.” Sam spoke breaking the awkward tension; Pat looked over at her impressed.
“You must be really into partying.” Pat smirked; he loved a girl who knew how to party.
“Not really, parties were never really my thing.” Kenzie shrugged.
“Well hang out with me more often and that will change.” Pat winked; Kenzie blushed and looked over at Sam who was smiling at the two of them.

Jordan looked up from the tv as she heard the front door close, Violet walked in with a smile on her face, which only meant one thing, she got laid.
“Geno?” Jordan asked, Violet nodded her head and sat down beside her.
“I tried calling you back but you didn’t answer.” Violet explained as she got out her phone, Jordan furrowed her eyebrows as she reached for her phone in her pocket, it was empty.
She got up and ran over to her bag as she threw everything out of it, she frantically searched for her phone but couldn’t find it. She retraced her steps trying to think about when she last had it; she dropped the items in her hands as she realized where she left it.
“Jordan? What’s wrong?” Violet asked as she noticed the panicked look on her face.
“I left my phone at Jake’s.” She grabbed the landline and tried calling her phone, no answer.
“Why were you at Jake’s? Wait did you sleep with him?” Violet asked, Jordan looked over at her and nodded.
“I need to get my phone.” Jordan grabbed her car keys and coat before slipping on her boots and leaving.

Jordan walked down the hallways trying to remember which apartment was Jake’s, she walked by a door with a note attached to it, she took a few steps back realizing how strange it was. She looked closer at the note to see her name written on it. She grabbed the note from the door and opened it.
“Jordan, I knew you’d come back, they always do. Meet me at the Chipotle across the street for lunch. I’ll be waiting.” He signed it off with his name; she crumpled the piece of paper in her hand and groaned as she walked back to the elevator.
She walked through the door of Chipotle and searched for Jake, she found him sitting at a table with a smug look on his face, he knew she’d come. He held her phone in his hand; she walked up to him and tried to grab it but he moved it away from her reach.
“Give me my phone.” She hissed as she tried to grab it again.
“Have lunch with me first.” Jake demanded. Jordan glared at him before giving up and sitting across from him.
“This isn’t a date.” She snapped as she took off her coat.
“Yes it is.” He smirked.

“Who you texting?” Ariel asked as she sat down on the couch beside Violet and looked over at her phone.
“This guy I met last night.” Violet blushed remembering last night’s festivities between her and Geno.
“Was he one of the cute hockey players Kay told me about?” Ariel groaned upset that she had missed out on meeting AND sleeping with attractive guys.
Violet nodded, “Did you sleep with him?” Ariel asked as she eyed Violet, Violet nervously chewed on her lip before looking at Ariel.
“Vi! Do I need to go over my one night stand rules?” Ariel threw her hands up in the air disappointed; rule #2 never give them your number. These girls never learned.
“It’s not like that with him!” Violet defended him and herself.
“I’ve heard that before.” Fiona scoffed; Violet shot her a glare before getting up and announcing that she was leaving.
“Vi we were kidding don’t leave,” Fiona got up and tried to stop her from leave, “You know we love you.” Fiona cooed as she held onto Violet and dragged her back to the couch.
“I love you too.” Violet rolled her eyes before giving in to Fiona.
