Cold As Ice

“Don’t go.” Jake whined, Jordan rolled her eyes and continued packing her things, the girls were going to Boston for the Pens game and then later would go to New York for their game against the rangers.
Jake wrapped his arm around her stomach and gently attached his lips to her neck, she sighed before pushing him off of her, she couldn’t get distracted, she was already behind on packing.
“Just think of all the fun we can have together.” Jake whispered into her ear as he ran his hands up and down her body.
“Think of all the fun you’ll have with your hand when I’m gone.” Jordan joked. Jake dropped his hands and sat on her bed. She grabbed a shirt from under him and folded it neatly before putting it in her duffel bag.
“I don’t need you; I can just get another girl willing to sleep with me.” Jake scoffed, Jordan looked up from her bag wide eyed, did he really just say that to her?
“You should leave.” Jordan hissed as she zipped up her duffel bag, she walked into the bathroom and grabbed her overnight essentials. She walked back into her room to see Jake was gone; she heard the door close and groaned, he was such an ass.
Violet walked into Jordan’s room with her bag hung over her shoulder, “Why did Jake look so mad?” She asked. Jordan sighed before telling Violet what happened with Jake, she was confused, she didn’t understand why he was sending her mixed signals.
Jake had spent a whole week with Jordan telling her about how much he likes hanging out with her, taking her on random dates and sleeping with her every now and then. We went from being so kind and down to earth to a heartless asshole in a matter of seconds, she was fed up with the mind games.
“What an ass!” Violet growled, she was extremely protective over her friends and would hurt anyone who tried to hurt them. “Do you like him?” She asked.
“I like being around him.” Jordan shrugged, “When he’s not acting bipolar.” She added, every time Jordan felt like she was actually starting to like Jake he’d do something to make her wonder why she even puts up with him.
Violet nodded understanding, “Just forget about him for the weekend and have fun with your girls.” Violet pulled Jordan in for a reassuring hug.
Jordan got up from her bed shaking off all the bad thoughts, she was going to go out and have fun regardless of how hurt she was by Jake’s words. She grabbed her bag and swung it over her shoulder, she exited the room with Violet trailing behind her.
“Let’s go.” She clapped her hands together and followed Sam out the door to meet up with the rest of the girls.

“Cheers!” They all shouted as they raised their glasses and chugged down their drinks. The Pens had beat the Sabres 4-1 and they had all gone out to celebrate. The boys hollered over the loud music, they grabbed a few of the girls and brought them out onto the dance floor.

Sidney slammed the door shut and pushed Ariel up against it, he ran his hands down her body as his tongue fought with hers. He pulled away from her lips and threw off the Crosby jersey she was wearing.
“Why do we always end up in a bathroom?” Sid asked still panting from their heated make out session.
Ariel shrugged before helping Sid take off his pants, “I wanna fuck you hard on the sink.” She quoted Bound 2.
Sid smirked before picking her up and setting her down on the sink, “As you wish.”

Jordan let out a sigh as she looked from Sam to Kenzie, they were glued to their phones, probably texting Jonathan and Patrick. Jordan announced that she’d be leaving to get herself a drink, the girls ignored her, she rolled her eyes and left. She made her way over to the bar her eyes searching the crowd for her friends.
She asked for a beer and sat on one of the stools, she sighed to herself before raising her beer to her lips, she set it back down in front of her. She tapped the rim with her fingers as she looked around; she turned around as she felt someone wrap their arms around her stomach.
“Hey babe, you’re beautiful.” He slurred, she pushed the random guy’s hands off of her and got up to walk away.
“Come back.” He called after her, he grabbed her arm and pushed her towards him, “Where are you going? Let’s have fun.” He pulled her closer to him as she tried to push him off of her.
“Let go of her!” The guy was pulled off of Jordan; she looked up to see him being pushed away by another guy, he stumbled onto the floor and then walked away.
“Jordan, are you alright?” He asked she looked up at Jake’s familiar blue eyes; she nodded her head still shaken up after the incident. He pulled her in for a tight hug; she wrapped her arms around his torso and held him close.
“Let’s get out of here.” He shouted over the loud music, Jordan nodded in agreement and followed him towards the exit.
They walked through the cold Buffalo streets towards the hotel she was staying at, “What are you doing here?” She asked remembering the altercation they had gotten in that very morning.
“I felt horrible after what I said to you, I was a jerk and I wanted to come and apologize in person.” He pulled her closer to him and rubbed her back; she smiled to herself and leaned her head on his shoulder.
“It wasn’t that big of a deal.” She lied.
“You don’t have to lie, I know I was a complete asshole and I really don’t deserve your forgiveness.” Jake sighed; Jordan stopped walking and turned to Jake.
“Don’t be so hard on yourself. It really wasn’t that big of a deal. I overreacted a bit.” Jordan pulled him in for a tight hug.
Jake smirked to himself; she was already in too deep, “Why are you smirking?” Jordan asked as she looked at him confused.
“I’m just glad to have such an amazing girl.” He lied, he wrapped his arm around her shoulder and pulled her into his chest as they continued walking to her hotel.
