It was about four days before my due date, Patrick had a game tonight in Tampa Bay, and he would be heading home the next morning. Abby and Chaunette had left a few days ago, and Erica had surprised me by showing up with Patrick's mom.

I was so nervous, these babies could be here at anytime. Patrick and I were ready, we had finally chosen names. It was so strange to think about two little babies being ours, we made them, and we brought them into this world.

I sat in the chair in the nursery, staring down at my stomach, and I knew I had finally found gods plan for me.

I was meant to be a mom.

I was lying in bed that night, when I felt a sharp pain stab my side, I figured it was just a kick, until it happened a few more times. I flipped the sheets over my legs to see I was lying in a puddle of water, "Oh my God!" I said.

"Erica!" I yelled. She came sprinting into the room. "Oh my god!" she squealed smiling. "Mom!"

Donna came running into the room in a bath robe, "Whats going on?" she said shaking an umbrella in her two hands, as if to protect herself from an intruder.

"Oh!" she yelled.

I threw on a pair of leggings, and a v neck t shirt, Erica grabbed my bag, and we were off to the hospital.

They placed us in a room, while Erica called Patrick.

Patrick's POV:

It was about 12:30 am when I got a call from Erica.

"Are you ready to be a dad?" she asked on the other end of the phone.

"What?!" I was shocked, "Its four days early!"

"I know, I know but Kylie's water broke, and we're in the hospital now, so you better get your ass here!" She said.

"Alright, i'm coming, i'm coming!."I yelled.

"Shit!" I yelled jamming clothes into my bag. "Whats going on?" Jonny asked coming back into the room with some other guys. "Water broke." I yelled running out of the room.

"EH! Ya Kaner!" echoed behind me in groups as I ran to tell Coach.

"Coach!" I yelled getting off the elevator, he was sitting in the lobby talking to some assistant coaches,"water break?" he asked as I ran towards him. "Yup" I yelled out of breath. "There's a car waiting out front go, go, go!" he said, as I ran out the door.

I sprinted from a car to a plane, and finally I was on my way back to Chicago.

"Mrs. Kane we'll wait as long as we can, but we are going to have to start pushing soon." the doctor said.

I was devastated, come on Patrick, I thought looking at the time.

Another hour went by, I was holding with all my might to keep these babies in. "Mrs. Kane, its not safe to wait any longer we're gonna have to start pushing."

I just nodded, Erica held tight to one of my hands, "Alright on three, give me one big push" the doctor said propping my legs up, "Ready one, two-"

Patrick bursts through the door, "I'm here!" he said at of breath, "I'm here!"

He ran to the side of me, "hi," he said, "Hi" I laughed.

The doctor laughed and said, "We're going to start pushing now. on the count of three, one, two, three"

After three strong pushed the first baby came out screaming, "Dad do we want to cut the cord?" she asked, Patrick stood there wide eyed, he took the scissors, and cut the chord, "And here's baby number two." Patrick squeezed my hand as they pulled the second baby out.

"Congratulations, you two are the new parents of two fraternal twin boys" The nurses wiped off the babies and placed them on my chest over the hospital night gown.

"Wow," I said staring down at our sons. Our sons. Patrick and I had kids. It was crazy.

"Well I'll give you two a minute." Erica said stepping out in the hallway to tell Patrick's mom.

"I cant believe it" Patrick said as he sat in a chair, close to the hospital bed rocking the baby back and forth. I pulled one tightly in my arms, "I love you" he said leaning over to kiss me.
"I love you too," I smiled.

On May 10th, 2014 Patrick and I welcomed to the world Shayne Patrick Kane, and Cody James Kane.

"Let me at em'!" Donna said, practically breaking down the door. "Oh my god!" She said staring at the babies in Patrick's and I's arms.

"They are just perfect." She said, a tear streaming.

"Do you want to hold him?" I asked.

"Are you kidding?" she asked wiping the tear away, "Of course."

"Oh my gosh." she said staring down at the little boy.

Patrick passed his baby to Erica, "I'm an aunt!" she yelled.

"What about a godmother?" Patrick asked, turning to me and smiling. We had talked about it a few months back, we wanted Erica and Patrick's best friend from back home to be Shayne's godparents. And Patrick and Abby Sharp to be Cody's godparents.

"Are you serious?" she asked.

"Will you?" I asked.

"Of course, oh my god. Thank you guys." she squealed.

I couldn't believe our babies were finally here.
