"Ive got news for you" The nurse said standing in the doorway, my heart ready to jump out of my chest, My heart rate speeding up with every word she said. "Good news" She added relieving some of my nerves but not many."How do you feel about triplets?" She asked shocking me. My jaw dropped. I was not expecting her to say triplets.

I just mumbled in response not being able to form words.

"Good thing its only twins" She laughed.

I felt at ease with that for a few seconds. But not many. It all came rushing back when I realized what she said. Twins.

Twins.

James doesnt want one baby, much less two.

"Can you tell the gender?" I asked not even knowing where that came from.

"Not quite yet" She smiled, "But I can show you your other little baby" She moved around on my stomach trying to find a trace of the other baby.

"There's it's little face, Adorable already" She smiled looking back at me. I nodded knowing she was just saying that to be nice while looking at my baby's small face.

If only James knew.

The nurse continued to talk, explaining to me that I could check out whenever I was ready, and I could make my next appointment at the front desk along with many other important things. She told me about what I should be eating, drinking, and what I cqan and can not do, I had heard everything before with Jake. Her voice kept droning on and on, but there was only one thing I was hearing.

Twins.

"Holy Shit" Sidney said leaning against the table, "That's good though right, A two for one type of deal?"

"No," I said sternly," I dont know what to do" I sighed.

"You should probably start by telling Nealer" Sidney said staring at my hands as I played with the beautiful diamond ring on my finger.

"I tried to" I said thinking back to the mall a few days ago.

"Didn't go well?" Sidney said leaning back against the booth.

"I dont think we need any more kids, I grew up with siblings and I dont want to put my son through that." I said immitating James.

"Try again" Sidney shrugged his shoulders.

"Its not that easy," I sighed, "Especially not anymore"

"Speak of the devil" Sidney said nudging his head in the direction of the door, to where James was standing looking around. "You invite him?"

"No," I said wondering why he was here, "You?"

"No" Sidney said watching James carefully before reaching out to hold my hand supportively.

We watched as James slowly made his way over to the bar, the girl that I met, I think her name was Rachel, the first time I ever came to the resteraunt with Sidney.

Sidney described her as one of James's "sidelines" Which just made me more nervous.

Her face lit up when she saw him, flipping her blonde hair over her shoulder. His face twisted into a smile the rust colored beard on his jawline becoming more prominent. He started talking to her, and she threw her head back in laughter. And then he gave her that look. A look I thought only I knew. A look he would swear he never gave to any other girl back when we were about to be married. A look that used to show me how much he loved me. Or at least i though it did. The more I thought about it, the more it meant nothing. Everything he did meant absolutley nothing. He was a liar. A player. He only cared about himself. And that would never change. I knew he hadnt changed. He just became better. Better at his usual bets and lies.

I continued sliding the ring around my finger hoping, praying, James and I werent just going to repeat our history.
