Star Crossed

"I guess so" I smiled laughing as he looked up at me shyly.

"I love you" he said seriously before standing up and embracing his arms around me.

"How are we going to tell Jake?" He asked confused.

"I didn't think that far ahead" I smiled at him.

"hopefully it's not going to be the same way I found out" he joked as I pushed his shoulder lightly.

"this is...." He droned off trying to think of the right word.

i waited anxiously for him to finish his sentence. Horrible? Great? Awful? Fantastic? There were so many different things he could say. So many different ways he could react.

"perfect" he smiled making me want to jump up and down with excitement.

"I'm glad you think so" I said wrapping my arms around his neck.

"two more little hockey players?" He joked excited he would be able to share one of his favorite things with his children,

"yeah right, I barely let Jake play" I smiled.

"please" he laughed as if he knew I would give into him.

"you're lucky you're cute" I said before kissing him.

"I'm not the only one" he joked kissing me back before gently sliding one of his hands onto my not-yet-there baby bump and then bringing his head down to kiss it softly.
