James POV:
As I hang up the phone that I was just on with my mom, I hear the door bell ring thinking shes right on time. As I walk to the door I’m full of smiles opening the door as she runs into my arms.
Hey babe “ James said” Hey James she says with a big smile on her face. This right here is my girlfriend Courtney, Her and I have known each other since we were little everybody called it and was thrilled when they found out. It just sucks that I don't get to see her much when its season. But I'm grateful that shes finally moving in with me.
I leave about an hour after Courtney comes to get ready for tonight's game.

As I hear my phone ring I pick it up

“hello”? Courtney says. Hey Court heard your in town you coming to the game tonight Maureen says hoping that Courtney is going.
“Hey Maureen, yes I'm going tonight”
“Great we have so much to catch up on” Maureen says with a laugh
“Forsure we do, Ill see you tonight, give the kids some kisses from me”

Courtney goes into James room going through his closet and finding the jersey that she always wears to the games setting it on the bed as she goes to the bathroom and does her and make up, as well as changing before putting on the jersey. She drives to the arena which isn't far from James house she gets to the arena going the normal area where she watches all the games
Véronique runs up to Courtney and give her a big hug and they both just laugh

“Oh my god, i haven't seen you in forever! How are you?” Venroique says
“I've been good, I'm finally moving to Pittsburgh “ Courtney says with a smile
“Its about damn time”

As both the girls watch their boys warm ups they smile have how everybody in the Consol is cheering for them and their the ones that get to take them home. Its the second intermission and the pens are up 2 against Toronto. Courtney walks over to Maureen and starts to have small chat with her before the third period. 10 minutes into the game the ref blows the whistle on a penalty.
Courtney brings her hands to her mouth after she sees that its James and that he can't get up A girlfriend or wives worst nightmare to see.

James POV:
“fuck fuck fuck” Is all I could say right now with this pain, during the third period Phill rammed into me and I just fell and hear a snap in my wrist which I know could not be great, As Geno gets me off the ice we go straight into the trainers room to see whats wrong, After waiting for the news I was heartbroken the worst news you could get

“Nealer you broke it in 3 different places, It looks like your going to be out for the next couple of games as of right now” says the trainer

As I look down and all i could say again was fuck, the first game Courtney comes back too and im Broken. I go back into the dressing room and take off my equipment I get back into my suit, and goes and fixes my hair. As the games end we ended up wining 5-0. Even though I'm not playing it see feels good to win. I get into my truck knowing that i'm going to beat Courtney home, I get into the house and goes straight into the fridge grabbing a beer and sits on the couch loosing my tie waiting for my girlfriend to get back in. As I hear the door open I look up and half smiles at Courtney

Hey” she says not knowing how hes feeling
“hi” he replies back.
“How is the pain?”
“its alright”

They have small chat before they decide to head to bed, grabbing one of James shorts and a old tee shirt of his, Courtney gets into bed waiting for james to get out of the bathroom as soon as hes back he takes off his shirt and and changes into a pair of shorts, getting in beside courtney as she already is asleep James kisses her forehead and says “ I love you” before he goes off to sleep.
