Starstruck

Two years later.

“I’m having a beer, babe. You want one?”

“No thanks, honey.” Shannon replied. “Look, we’re on the cover of People.”

“Nice, but-”

“Are Superstar Shannon Burns and Sidney Crosby Still in Love After One Year?.” Shannon read. “What is that about?” She laughed.

“Its probably because my wife drinking with me on our anniversary.” Sidney replied. “I don’t think I could stay in this type of relationship for much longer.”

“Is that really how you should be talking to your pregnant wife?” Shannon smiled.

“No way!” Sidney grinned.

“Way!” She laughed. “I’m pregnant.”

“Oh my god!” He smiled.

“Yeah, I know.” Shannon grinned.

"What do we do now?" Sidney asked as he wrapped his arms around Shannon.

"Wait around and go to the doctors office." She smiled. "I don't know. I've never had a kid before.” She laughed.

“Well this is great!” Sidney smiled. “It what we always wanted.”

“I know!” she added, “but what will People have to say about me bringing a child into this loveless relationship?”

“I honestly couldn’t even imagine!” Sidney leaned in and kissed her.
