'Hey Emma! It's Danny and Mark, we just landed.'

'Hey! Great! Would you like me to pick you guys up at the airport?'

'No no, we're good. We'll just get a taxi! It's not a problem. Can you just text me Adam's address again?'

'Of course! See you guys soon!'

Reilly's birthday fell on a Tuesday this year and the Bruins were on a few back to back road trip in Canada. The Bruins had a game Thursday night against the Maple Leaves so they were coming home late Thursday night. I had asked a few of Reilly's friends to come down from Toronto for his birthday, with the help of Adam, of course.

'Katie, are you at Adam’s place? The guys should be there soon, I just texted them the address!' I text Katie.

'Yes I am! Okay, when are you getting here?'

'I’ll be there soon!' I text her.

I grab my keys and head for the door. I had to pick up a cake for Reilly. I decided to go with a red velvet cake since I figured those were his favorite cupcakes. Besides that kid can eat anything.

Ring Ring.

'Hey babe! What's up?' I pick up the phone as I'm rushing out the door.

'Hey! Um is this a bad time?'

'No, I'm just running a few errands.'

'Emma? What are you up too?' He says as he chuckles. How does he know!

'Nothing! How are you?' Change the subject. Quick!

'I'm good. Just wanted to call and ask what are the plans for tonight are?'

'I made reservations for dinner tonight for a couple of us and then we can hit a bar or club afterwards since we haven't done that in a while.'

'Sounds good!' I'll go home after practice, shower, dress up and head towards your place around 5/6?

'Okay! Sounds good love! See you later! Muah!'

'Bye' he chuckles as he hangs up the phone.

I grab the cake at Mike's Pastry and head towards Adam’s place. It was a safe place to bring the guys without Reilly knowing and Adam suggested them crashing there.

I knock on Adam's door and Katie answers.

'Hey! It's about time!' She says as she gives me a hug.

'Sorry, there was traffic. Can you put this cake in the fridge until we leave?' She nods and I walk in the room!

'Emma!' Mark says as he gets up from the couch and pulls me into a big hug. Danny gets up as well. I recognized them from their pictures on Facebook. Both of them were the same height, around 6'1-6'2. Mark had blue eyes with dark features, slimmer than Danny. Danny had green eyes and dirty blond hair.

'So you're Emma! We've heard a lot about you!' Danny says. He gives me a hug and pulls me out infront of him,

'I approve, I approve.' They both start laughing. I start blushing.

'Phew. Now I can sleep at night.' as I try to wipe the sweat off my forehead. They all start laughing.

'It's nice to finally meet you guys! Thanks so much for coming. Reilly is going to be so happy to see you two!'

'Thanks for the invite! There was no way we were going to miss this. It's been a while since we hung out. The kid is very busy.' Danny says.

'So what's the plan?' Katie asks as she walks into the room.

'I made reservations for all of us tonight at an Italian restaurant in the North End. Then go out afterwards?' I said.

'Royale?!' She says as she playfully pushes me away.

'That's where they met!' Katie whispers to the guys.

'Maybe! And yes that is very true! I mean it's his birthday so we'll let him decide. He loves that place anyways.'

'Aw! How cute!' Mark mocking us, clapping his hands in excitement.

'Shut up' I say as I playfully punch him.

'Ouch! I'm telling Reilly' he says as he starts laughing.

'Good!' I say.

'So, how long have you two known Reilly?' I ask

'We're childhood friends, we grew up in the same area and always hung out together. Mark's older brother is two years older so he became very close to Brendan and he would bring Reilly around and I practically lived at Mark’s house and we all just clicked.' Danny said.

'Aw, that's so cute.' They were adorable.

'Yeah, we all played hockey up until college. Then for college we went our separate ways, with us staying in Toronto and Reilly going to Miami. But we hang out every time he comes home during breaks.'

'That's good that you guys still stay in touch' Katie says while smiling. 'I’ll be right back.'

'I'm happy you guys are here! Reilly is going to be very excited.' I add in.

'Can't wait to see him, since you mention what he's been going through. From everything like the fucked up situation with Jess, and his scoring drought. I figured we could maybe help a little with that!' I had talked to them over the phone about what's been going on.

'You certainly will!' I smile and nod my head.

'Have you guys talked to Kevin? Reilly doesn't mention him much so I don't know what the situation is. I mean I don't blame him, it wasn't his fault. He had no idea.' I said.

'We've seen him around a few times but he's constantly working 2 jobs to support his baby. Poor kid. As for Jess, she has moved in with him because her parents still don't talk to her. I don't know if she is going to keep the baby or not. They're all over the place'

Jess. Even the sound of her name made me cringe. I sit there and nod. I didn't have anything to say.

'After everything that's happened, I'm glad he still has you Emma. He really loves you. I've never seen him like this before.' Mark says.

I begin to blush.

'Thank you' I flash them a warm smile.

Katie walks back into the room,

'Okay, we should probably head out, so you guys make yourself at home! Adam should be home soon.' Katie said.

'Okay! I'll see you girls later?' Danny says.

'Yes' I go and give him a hug. Mark on the other hand, hesitated and put his hands out to protect himself.

'Come on! I'm not going to hurt you' I start laughing. He pulls me in a hug.

'Bye guys!' As I grab the cake and close the door behind me.

'I like them. I see why Reilly is friends with them, they are very similar.' Katie says.

'I like them as well! Yes they are! I just hope Reilly is surprised!'

'He will be Emms! I'm getting excited for tonight! It's been a while since we went out!'

'It has hasn't it? Ah! This is going to be fun!' As I clap my hands together in excitement.

'Careful don't drop the cake!'

‘But most importantly...What are we going to wear!?’ Katie says as we're both laughing.
